The sales associate told me it was a "last act" item and refused to do anything. I asked where it says no return or exchange, she showed me a small abbreviation that being very small that I couldn't see it . When I purchased it nothing was said about "last act" the rack they were on didn't say sales are final. It's not about the amount of the item, it's about retailers secretly screwing the public. I wonder how many more consumers are being duped by Macy's. Maybe we can stand together and make them stop defrauding the public . Pictures will show my point. The shoes were in a bag. The box was taped up. The label with my information was attached outside the shoebox and bag it was placed in. I left the store. Went to my vehicle. I wanted to wear my shoes so I could workout at the nearby Planet Fitness. I cut opened the bag. I opened the box... The ANTI-THEFT SENSOR WAS STILL ATTACHED TO THE SHOES...! What??? So what was I supposed to do if I had not checked the merchandise before I left ? Who would not take the sensor off the merchandise before bagging and taping a label on it ? I RETURNED the shoes. The poor lady with no voice kept apologizing. I asked her to stop. It wasn't her fault. I just don't want a customer getting really mad and the store not understanding why a customer is getting upset over this. To the person who actually prepared my order.... "You forgot the fries...!" The manager had to assist and stated its a huge problem and customers are not happy but the " powers that be" wont make changes. there were so many people making returns and complaining the manager just walked away. I have never seen a company go down hill so quickly!

I told him I wasn't paying that much and that suit was out of my budget. He said something along the lines of "I am not even commission so no worries, good luck". Never offered to help me find something different, never apologized for doubling my budget, nothing. I walked out of there feeling like this guy thought less of me because I wanted to stay within a budget. I know his size so I went to DXL and was able to purchase him a small wardrobe update for his Father's funeral. The store was clean and neat, surprisingly, there were 2 associates on staff. Usually at these stores you never see more than one person, so 2 was a nice change of pace. I asked for assistance, and was helped by a friendly male associate. He helped me get a Polo, a pair of jeans, a pair of dress pants, a belt, a tie and a sweater, in no time. I was in and out within a half hour.

They went around the store for 15 minutes yelling that everyone needed to get their stuff, pay and leave. If this is the type of way FYE management and corporate seek to do business, then they've lost a longtime customer permanently.
