This location has made a pop up counter for Amazon returns, right near the front entrance. Now, regular customers are not inconvenienced with Amazon returns, and vise versa. The person maning the Amazon returns was quick and efficient. She even managed to fit the entire spiel about a 25% off coupon good for one week, and what part was my receipt for the return in the time it took for the sticker to print. I would happily use this location for Amazon returns again.

So. I am actually on the fence…read more I purchased a pair of Nike Running shoes online for pick up. Everything went well. I found my bin where the merchandise is picked up and I went on my way. The shoes were in a bag. The box was taped up. The label with my information was attached outside the shoebox and bag it was placed in. I left the store. Went to my vehicle. I wanted to wear my shoes so I could workout at the nearby Planet Fitness. I cut opened the bag. I opened the box... The ANTI-THEFT SENSOR WAS STILL ATTACHED TO THE SHOES...! What??? So what was I supposed to do if I had not checked the merchandise before I left ? Who would not take the sensor off the merchandise before bagging and taping a label on it ? I RETURNED the shoes. The poor lady with no voice kept apologizing. I asked her to stop. It wasn't her fault. I just don't want a customer getting really mad and the store not understanding why a customer is getting upset over this. To the person who actually prepared my order.... "You forgot the fries...!" I go to a lot of thrift shops and stopped in here to check them out. Their selection seemed pretty…read morenice. I did find the prices to be a bit higher than other consignment shops in the area. Although I did find out that they were getting ready to have a nice clearance sale to send out the spring/summer clothes and transition to fall/winter. The last day of the sale they actually did a bag sale. I made it in on one of the sale days and bought some nice clothing at a more reasonable price. They also had some decor items. The store is fairly small but they packed it full of good shopping. I also found a pair of shoes that I liked. I actually paid more for them than I would have liked but they were unique. I am sure I will stop in again. I may make it when they are transitioning over to spring to pickup some deals on winter clothes.

Prices are outrageous for used clothing, especially when the brands aren't high end. But I did find the employees bickering with each other over how to set up their ring light and technology so they could go live on Facebook and sell virtually. This should not be done during store hours, or should be done in a backroom where customers who are physically in the store aren't treated like second class citizens to your Facebook lives. Clothes were packed heavy on racks, so I can't imagine they get much business on the sales side.

That posting still reads this way as of this writing. This seemed instinctively odd by today's standards for normal retail closing, but we decided to give it a try. We were looking for a place to walk our grandson around and perhaps pick up a treat or two while we were out for the evening. There were still a significant number of cars in the parking lot when we pulled in around 7:40 PM, so we thought perhaps we had stumbled on something. We walked in and immediately had the sense things were winding down and that the posting was probably inaccurate. Having had only a couple of seconds to begin adjusting to reality, we were "greeted" by a sour-faced employee at the information desk who curtly informed us that "this mall closes in 15 minutes". The look on her face and the intonation of her message were effectively "why are you walking in here". I informed her that we were misled by a mistaken posting of hours. She said nothing but again, the look on her face was "That's unfortunate, but just turn around and get out." It must have made her a bit nervous that we took five minutes to stroll down the hall to see what was there. But that sort of unwelcoming attitude is the memory that will stay with me when I think of this mall. Maybe she was having a bad day or maybe she hates her job. Hard to say, but attitudes displayed in interactions have an effect and reflect on an entire business (or collection of businesses in this case). Based on this short interaction, there is definitely an opportunity for improvement. I don't want to cast negativity on everyone whose livelihood derives from this mall for the unfortunate representation of one person on one day, but reviews are based on experiences. And that sort of experience does not need to occur at any time on any day.
