I ended up purchasing a nice pair of brown leather Nikes. The selection of shoes consists of skater and hip hop style sneakers from brands like Vans, Nike, and Adidas. There were t-shirts, hoodies, jogger pants, and jackets that followed in the same athleisure style as the shoes. There was even a small discount section in back where I found an awesome Alpha Industries flight jacket for half off. As soon as I tried it on I knew that I couldn't live without it. They carry both men's and women's merchandise, however, the selection for men is noticeably larger. The women's selection is similar to men's in both brands and styles. Unheardof also has it's own brand of clothing. I noticed that one section of the wall was covered in skateboards so I assume those were for sale as well. The store is clean with a hip boutique feel and lots of colors and open space that feels welcoming and makes it easy to shop. The employee that helped me was nice, helpful, and polite. When we compared this to online it was cheaper, we got to try things on, didn't pay for shipping and selected the creme of the crop. Penneys is the constant we rely on for brands like Haggar, Stafford and St. John's Bay. This store is much bigger than we're used to, but we found everything in time. The ladies were all very helpful, the young man that rang us up bent over backwards to accommodate. He even ran downstairs to find Mrs.E. another teddy bear. It's really quiet since there aren't many sales associates and nearly no shoppers at all. The salesperson at the desk near the mall entrance/exit is very unfriendly, though. They always have knowledgeable staff who are runners themselves to help you pick the best shoes for your specific stride/strike pattern. I've trained for three marathons with Tristate. Their groups are super well organized, supportive, and make training fun. They have separate pace groups and coaches for every running and walking speed you can think of. On race day, the groups provide tents and refreshments for members and support along the route. I can't explain how helpful it is to see a familiar smiling face at mile 24 who comes and runs with you a bit just to give you that extra push to finish strong. I highly recommend trying out their training program.

They measured our feet, evaluated our walk, and selected several shoe options for us based off our needs. We both left with a very comfy new pair of shoes, and I ordered a second pair for work. Moving forward, I don't think I'll go anywhere else for athletic shoes.
