    Glorious steaming hot Philly cheesesteak
    Donna B.

One of my husbands favourite places to eat, he always would point it out as we drove past. I never thought to give it a try until we were looking for something on the northside to check out. Family friendly with a moderate amount of seating. I wouldn't plan to come and stay with a large group, but for our group of 5 it was good. Wish they had some outdoor seating. Lots of parking in the area. This is the place to get a Philadelphia Cheesesteak sandwich. We ordered a couple- one with sauce and one with seasoning. The sweet chilli sauce was a amazing and definitely the group favourite. The seasoning for the other sandwich we choose was mango chipotle and it was not as power packed as the sauce. Next time I would try both a seasoning and sauce. We also ordered the poutine as they had quite a flavourful variety- the buffalo chicken poutine was good. Cactus cuts had the most interesting honey, dill sweet sauce. And the sweet potatoes fries were very good- the sauce that they came with with so good! If you order cactus cuts I would personally ask for a side of the dip that normally comes with the sweet potatoes fries. Tip! Orders don't come with drinks and unfortunately you have to order them separately and everything is bottled so it does add to the overall cost of a meal.

It's a nice alternative to the regular fast food chains, and the service is really great. It was our first time visiting and there was no one else around, so the girl behind the counter was really patient in making suggestions and answering our questions. We went with the 12" philly cheese steak and it was great. Cooked to order, everything was nice and hot and the vegetables weren't super mushy (hate mushy peppers and onions). Lots of cheese and a decent amount of meat so you didn't feel like you were just eating a mouth full of bread with each bite. We also ordered a side caesar (too heavily dressed, and with those weird synthetic bacon bits) and the cactus chips that came with an addictive honey dill dip that we couldn't get enough of. Finally, the philly supreme burger with cheese, bacon and an onion ring - it was good, but everything got soggy on it really quickly. I'd stick to the cheese steaks over the burgers.

I ate it all before I took a photo.

Pleasant surprised. Great sandwich and friendly service. No Cheese Wiz but the sandwich and sides were hot and fresh. I highly recommend you try this place.

    Not so good. Too salty!!

So much teriyaki sauce made the sandwich soggy and salty!! Good thing I got the small size. Staff were really nice though.

Maybe the best philly cheese steak in Edmonton. Fresh buns and vegetables, the meat on the sandwich is hot and juicy, and their seasonings are great. The burgurs are big and flavorful, and the cactus cut fries with a sweet dill sauce in increadable. Will be back with the family.

Excellent simple cheesesteak with real actual cheese. Really enjoyable, held up the 20 minute drive home and was still warm and delicious.

Yes, empanadas as fusion food (like piza, which they also have), but it works. The price is right too, $5.25 got me 2 empanadas that were delicious and pretty filling. You can buy them frozen and cook yourself at home or get them to cook them in the store. I got them to cook them in the store and it seems like they bake them, which is fine by me. It does take a few minutes, maybe 10 or 15, but while you wait there are a few free tables and wifi. The owner was friendly, and happy to talk and genuinely wanted to know how I found out about My Empanadas (through Yelp of course). I got 2 of the Cajun empanadas, and they were good, not very spicy, but I wish I would have tried another kind as well. Lucky for me it looks like I will need to go back and try some of their other flavors.

Sounded great except it really wasn't. Eggs were really dry. Sausage was bitter (like it was old). Bacon was like jerky. The potatoes were the star though. Unfortunately there was barely any on the plate. Everything was cold except for the potatoes. I guess that's what you get for $8. Service was great which is why the extra star. I was the only one in there though! Ambience wasn't too bad. Lots of seating indoors plus outdoor patio. I chose to sit indoors since it had just rained. Music wasn't to my taste but each to their own. Large screen tv's. From this experience, I don't recommend and have no intention of returning.

The restaurant wasn't very busy when we got there. It was pretty spacious and clean. Our waitress was kind and the service was good.

We would go back in a heartbeat, just need to sleep off the food coma for a while. It's bright and airy in spite of the smallish space and the amount of booths and tables, oh and you can sit at the counter. The walls and ceiling are covered in memorabilia, concert banners and what not. The place was absolutely hopping at 12:45 PM, but we were sat in a booth right away. Waters dropped moments later, asked if we needed coffee, tea or whatever else you wanted to drink. Our server was fantastic, explaining and educating us as we were first timers. The food came out piping hot very quickly and our tea ordered after the food was dropped came in a large teapot and hot just like at home. The clubhouse, which I did not have, has house made ham and turkey according to our server. My corn beef had slices of corn beef that did not taste house made, but the sheer volume of meat I couldn't finish, the eggs were cooked perfectly. K's Mexicasa omelette was excellent with the Mexican meat the star. I know why the place is consistently full, it's that good. Definite redo when back in West Edmonton
