Something I really enjoy treating myself and my wife to is a relaxing pedicure. My wife recommended this location for us to go and check out so today we decided to go do a couples pedicure (not something on their menu mind you) and I was not at all let down. The experience was great and very relaxing. The water was nice and warm along with the chair providing a very good massage that you can choose from. My time here didn't feel too terribly long and they have a number of various polishes to choose from. You can get a basic pedicure for $38 or a gel one for $48 which I decided to go with the basic pedicure. This place is very quiet and relaxing. They offer you drinks from water to various sodas and they even have three different types of wine as well, all of which is included in the price. I've really gone back and forth on whether I wanted to share this, but here we go. I got my nails done today for my sister's wedding--just a classic French tip on my toes and nails. And don't get me wrong, they look pretty, so that's not the issue. For context, I'm a young woman in my early 20s, and I'm in cosmetology school. I know the proper and improper ways things should be done in this industry. The first red flag was that nothing was sanitized. They used used tools and shared products, which is a huge no. Then, while we were talking, the woman doing my nails casually mentions she never even went to nail school--she learned from people around her. At that point I was already too far into the service to back out. Then I go to check out. The total? $120. I asked for a breakdown, and she said $5 for nail shape, $80 for the service, and $30 for toes. Mind you... I did not want gel polish. I checked their website afterward and realized they completely overcharged me. When I got home, I looked at my nails more closely and what do you know--the tips aren't even glued properly, and some have already fallen off. I'm sharing this because the whole experience was unprofessional, overpriced, and honestly just disappointing. read more

Got an orange pedicure, which was $55-$65, then a manicure with french nails using dip and gel for the design. Why was my bill $150??? I come here often and usually just get a solid color dip. Never in my life have I spent this much on nails. Even with French. There actually was one time, but it was for acrylic with rhinestones and all kind of cuteness. I didn't get any tips added on or nothing. I'm pissed! The service was great and the atmosphere was chill, but the pricing for what I received was ridiculous. Apparently they charge an additional $10-15 for curved tip, a massage w/the manicure and then the design. I guess moral of my story is to ask how much every little detail will cost beforehand. So I just went their 2 days ago and the one person that was doing my nails to cut them down or whatever, she was getting up to show her phone to another friend and talking in their accent and taking along time to just get the nails on me and cutting them was so long to her, Also, we got there and she told us to sit in number four and we had a number for Etna personals already there so we're waiting for her to get done and why the person was going over to her mom where she was other setting The girl did not clean up her station at all. She just put a new towel down and use the same cuticle bit on me and everything that is disgusting and you have to keep yourself clean if your nail tech hopefully she shows up she should know that by now, but she does not. read more

Yesterday was my first time at Hot Nails. I originally came for a pedicure for a little self care but ended up leaving with my nails done too. Walking into the salon it was very clean and didnt smell like pure acetone which I liked. As soon as I was greeted and prompted to sign in and seated in the pedicure chair. My technician was Kay and she was the best tech ive ever had getting my nails done. I got the Tropical Orange Pedicure with regular polish and it was amazing. She was nice and talked to me and it just felt like she was a friend. Shes been doing nails for awhile and I could tell when she was doing the pedicure and after. After my pedicure I got a Full Set with Gel Polish from another tech but didnt know her name. She didnt talk to me much but thats okay. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because my nails arent all even. Both of my thumb nails compaired to my other nails are extremely short with harldy any lenght. And when I was completed and directed to Wash my hands I noticed a spot of my nail that wasnt painted which I asked her to paint it and she did willingly but that nail is now thicker than the rest. Other than that it was a wonderful experience and I will be back for more services. read more

This was the first nail salon I went to since moving to New Albany and I will say I am definitely not disappointed. The staff was so nice, I didn't get the lady's name that did my nails but she made sure I liked them through the whole process. This is probably my favorite set i've ever gotten, she did so good. The salon was clean and decorated nicely. The only thing I will say is I don't recommend booking an appointment right when they open, you might end up waiting a little bit if you're in a rush. read more

Immediately upon entry the first thing I noticed was how beautifully the salon is decorated. Everything was visibly CLEAN which is a must for me when going to get my nails done. I was taken care of by Kim who offered me and my child free drinks and snacks, and even wine (for me only of course)! Personally I've never been to a nail place that gave me free anything lol so that was really nice. Kim did my nails beautifully and exactly what I asked for. She is super friendly and easy to talk to. She made me and my son feel extremely welcome and if not for the amazing service, free beverages, and cleanliness of the shop, she would be the sole reason I will be returning. 10/10 recommend this nail place. I showed her two different fall looks off of Pinterest and she said she could do them, no problem. This was a small family owned place and I loved that. She was super nice and so very talented. She nailed both of my looks( and I've done the same thing at other places but either got a no or they tried and I wished they wouldn't have). I went for a pedicure for my birthday. I didn't have enough cash to pay so I used my card. she usually spends time on you but this day she acted like she was in a hurry. Spent probably 30 minutes or less. I had cash for the tip but said I need cash back. the pedicure was 30.00 and she wanted a 10.00 tip. I gave her eight.
