Twenty minutes later, she's getting her nails done and I'm still waiting. I stand up and tell her that they haven't started on me yet and she'll have to wait on me. (Hoping someone gets the hint.) Nope. A woman walks in without an appointment, sits down next to me, and they start doing her nails. Five minutes later my daughter is done, no one has acknowledged me, so I pay for her nails and leave. They don't even notice to say anything! I'm just speechless, absolutely ridiculous. I didn't get the name of my technician, but I went in with acrylic on my nails and wanted them taken off and then get dip powder on my natural nails. This technician proceeds to take an artificial nail tip and rip off my acrylic nails (I've never seen this "technique" before) so while she's doing that it's ripping off my natural nails and causing me to bleed. She says "you wanted tips, right?" When I originally didn't, but at this point I have to because she's ripped off my natural nails. She puts the tips on and proceeds with the dip powder, when she finishes she buffs my nails and instead of just buffing the nail she is buffing over my skin, and is breaking down the skin around my nails causing me to bleed again. Her customer service skills need work, as well as her ability to be gentle with customers. She didn't apologize once, instead getting irritated with me that I was jerking my hands and saying ow. Overall my nails look decent, but it's still a one star rating due to the lack of caring from her and the other technicians around her who were well aware of my discomfort and frustration.

I was fairly certain that there was a nail salon in the mall, and I was thrilled to find Pro Nails. I was able to get a walk-in for a manicure, something I had been wanting to carve out time for and now had a great excuse. The tech was knowledgeable, gentle, and pleasantly conversant. I relaxed in the atmosphere that was surprisingly tranquil despite the mall location. All in all I got a perfect 10 manicure with great service. A hidden gem worth sharing for sure!

It's always a red flag for me when a shop showcases OPI nail polish, but doesn't actually offer it. I was in for a gel manicure and a toe polish change (I recently had a pedicure with my normal technician, who is currently out of the country--which is how I ended up here). Granted, the previous polish on my toes was dark (OPI shade Lincoln Park After Dark for my ladies who know); but the nail technician made VERY LITTLE effort to actually remove it. It's going to take a little more than 1 barely-moist cotton poof, so I was subjected to intense scrubbing with subpar results. I had to ask her to remove more of it, to little avail. I have included photos of the previous polish that can still be seen, despite me choosing a bright red that would typically mask any small imperfections. We then moved to the manicure. I was subjected to very uncomfortable pushing of my cuticles with THE NAIL TECHNICIAN'S OWN NAILS. She would eventually get a real tool, but I have never had a professional tech do this! Not even sure that is sanitary. On completion of the manicure, there was poor polish coverage & bubbles around the edges. I had asked for festive nail art (Valentine's Day is around the corner)--it was like pulling teeth to get a decent design. It doesn't look horrible from afar but up close it looks like a child's artwork. I won't be back and will not recommend.

Approximately 13 days following the service, I noticed two of my nails separating from my nail bed (this indicates the service was not done properly). After 15 days, I lost two nails. While I greatly appreciate the service, I think it is unlikely I will continue to go to 79 Nails due to this most recent experience. When I pay decent money for a service, I need to know that the nails will be durable. I do not engage in activities that would lead to my nails breaking, and I've never had this concern before.

I originally asked for a glitter ombré but it turned out nothing like I had planned. It was very clumpy, splotchy, and not what i was looking for so I asked him to redo it. I felt bad but I was not going to pay for something that looked like that. The final product was just super thick, uneven, and you could still see the glitter underneath the layers of nail polish. Not only that but the employee was very disrespectful and gave me attitude when I asked him to redo it. Since I am the one paying for the service, I feel as though the way he acted about the whole situation was unprofessional. Due to the poor job on his part and attitude, I will not be coming back to this salon.

I got a shellac mani at Signature nails and it peeled off several nails in 9 days. For the cost of it, I expect better quality than that. Cleanliness of the salon was great. I was rushed to pick out my colors before I had even looked through all the options. It was repeated to me 5x by two different employees--what color, what color, pick a color, have you chosen yet? There's hardly any massage in the mani or pedi. Like less than 45 seconds for each one. I'm sure of this before the girl massaged my hand/arm while the other hand was under the curing light for the shellac. If the shellac had stayed on for 14+ days, I would've went back but I won't pay that cost and only get 9 days worth.

My nails definitely missed Tammy while we were sheltered in place! They are doing a wonderful job at the shop to make us all feel safe in this uncertain time. There is hand sanitizer available at every station, everyone wore a mask, they are currently operating by appointment only, and they have plexiglass dividers between the customer and employee. All work stations are properly spaced so that we could all practice social distancing. This put my mind at ease! I got a pedicure and dip powder on my nails. I left feeling very relaxed. They are very reasonably priced and I highly recommend them to everyone. They have a lot of dip colors to choose from and Tammy is always adding new colors to their inventory.
