I came here to get a pedicure and manicure. When I arrived they asked me what service I was getting and I told them. The lady (I didn't get her name) said for me to sign in and she said can you wait about 30 minutes. I said no problem and she told me to sit in the first chair to wait. I'm waiting for close to 40 minutes but still no issues because 2 of the nail techs are about to finish. Then 4 people come in, they are all together, they are sitting in the waiting area. The lady who had told me 30 minutes finishes up and comes over to me and asks which pedicure I was getting, I tell her and she then walks over to the group of 4 and asks them what they are getting....pedicures and a set of nails. So then, lady seats them in the open spots and walks over to me and says, they all have appointments okay. She then proceeds to start on the set of nails and instructs the other newly freed up nail tech to start on the pedicures. So now I'm supposed to now wait on all of them. I got up and I said okay I'm gonna go ahead and leave( I as nice, even though it wasn't right how I was treated). Main lady says can you come back tommorow? I said no that's okay I'm going to go somewhere else because you didn't mention that you had an appointment of 4 people coming in soon when you told me 30 minutes. read more

It was my first time ever coming here and I waited for entirely too long... and still didn't even get serviced!! It was busy so I gave them grace (a little too much). After one hour they sat me in a chair for a pedicure, then I waited AGAIN for 30 minutes in the pedicure chair just getting massaged... I realized how long I was waiting and just left because I have never in my life had to wait that long no matter where I was walk in or not. I got a fill in and pedicure by Yuki and it was the best, most thorough job I have ever gotten done at a nail salon. I had an inspiration picture and she delivered even on my tiny nail. The environment as a whole was quiet and clean. Was slightly higher than I was used to paying but for the service I will happily pay. I think I've found my new routine nail salon! Everyone is so nice and friendly! What I love most is that I was actually able to relax and enjoy the services without the technician trying to up-sale or offer more charges. I read that someone said they pay close attention to the pedicures and they DO. Which is important because a lot of establishments do not do so. I brought a 9 year old with me and they were gentle with her pedicure and nail polishing too. I arrived with a party of three and we were all able to be seated at the time so everyone finished around the same time which was perfect. I will say that if you go bring cash with you to tip them as that's what they request AND DESERVE. Went in for a shellac manicure and pedicure Pros: the staff were nice Cons: I had called ahead to see how much a pedicure was. $33. That was fine. I arrived and she said "look over the description real fast to decide which pedicure you'd like" The $33 pedicure is only a "quick soak" and a polish The next option which is your normal pedicure, nails trimmed, cuticles, polish, was $43. That's a bit of a bait and switch but it was too late for me to go somewhere else, I had already hired a sitter to treat myself. Next was the shellac manicure. It was $38 which was about what I expected. What I did not expect was the manicure to last LESS a than a week. The staff is great- however the equipment/ product needs some work. I had gone in to get a shellac manicure, and had a swift and pleasant experience. Shortly after I left I noticed some bubbles forming between the color layers that caused chipping. I went back and they happily redid the nails with issues for free which I very much appreciate, but unfortunately even the redone nails had the same issue within a day. They said it was due to the UV light not curing the polish correctly, so maybe they should replace their lights to not have this happen in the future. While the staff was great, having a manicure that should have lasted two to three weeks only making a few hours I will not be returning- defeats the purpose if it doesn't work. read more

I have been to AX Nails three times now. The first time I had a gal and she was great. The last two times I have had a younger gentleman who is very gentle and does a fantastic job. I have anxiety and I take it out on the skin around my finger nails so they can be pretty tender at times. He is always very observant as to what he is doing with the drill and hand file. I've been to nail salons before where they don't seem to notice and then I end up bleeding. I appreciate how cautious he is with those problem areas (usually my thumbs.) I haven't gotten a pedicure there yet but plan to as I have observed their pedicure process and it seems longer than normal pedicures I've gotten which is always a plus. Check them out! read more

Went in for a mani/pedi and it was an older lady who did my feet and nails. Firstly she asked me did I want a cutdown on my toes, I said no, she did it anyway. Secondly she didnt paint my whole toe nail on some and overly painted on others. When it was time to do my dip the nail polish wasnt the same as my toe nail and my nails were all lumpy looking when I left. Definitely wouldnt recommend this place. read more

I came here because of sanitation/health reviews, they were quick and nice to attend. Hard to find via the directions it's next to the big UL/UK store, upon entering very clean and well kept, quiet and nice spa chairs. I came in with the exact color I wanted my nails done. She matched it with the same color she THOUGHT they had. Which "changed colors" I was not satisfied, and offered similar colors which would not match my outfit for the setting. I settled on acrylic nails French, "coffin" nails, my nails are naturally long she just clipped them way to short and didn't round them off and didn't round them off and therefore I'm having issues with them. Her version of "coffin" and round are completely different than mine. Plus, she was cutting them and didn't ask how long I wanted them and went to snipping them. And left an indentation, upon asking, she said "it won't come out", and she went to GRINDING them into a coffin shape.... The pinky finger came out CROOKED... None of them looked the same compared to the other hand. I paid $42 for my hands to come out looking all crooked. ON TOP OF EVERYTHING... My debit card was declined, when I had just used it not 10 minutes ago. So I had to get my credit card and it worked just fine. Overpriced and clearly don't care about quality. And later they ended up having some bubble spots show up. read more
