I went in here with expectations that this place had more of a variety than Chipotle. I left a bit disappointed. The flavors just weren't there. I ordered exactly what I would at Chipotle in bowl form and it just did not have a great taste. Even adding more salsa didn't really help. Trust me, I'm not a huge fan of Chipotle. I find Qdoba to be the best but it's too far away for me to go often. So there you have it. This location also felt a bit dirty at the time. I would try it again but it's not going to be my first choice. read more

With my family and I went up here to Newport over the summer we stopped in at Harden burritos because they had a bunch of signs for them everywhere and I never heard of them. I went in and it was a really good meal set up like your Qdoba or moles or something but they offer spicy salsa so course I got the spicy because of how I like my burritos hot it was a big giant burrito I liked it my kids like it my wife liked it it's really good and I will be trying to get a next time we are in Newport read more

I recently visited this location and everything was great!! When I arrived, the cook had just added fresh fajita veggies to the pan. My bowl was fresh and delicious. The manager JoJo was very pleasant, friendly and personable. The speed of checkout was top tier as well. I will return. read more

Hot Head is (literally) the red-headed stepchild of the corporate burrito game. I love that they're cheaper than Chipotle and offer an alternative when you need to mix things up. I don't love, however, that they always seem to be out of ingredients and the service is spotty. Another concern: allergen listings online vs. in-store had discrepancies. They really should fix this; exposing people to allergens is dangerous and errors like this are just plain lazy. Double check the allergens and ask in person if you have severe food allergies. The board in-store is not accurate. Despite that Hot Head is a semi-local brand (Dayton) I still think usually I do prefer Chipotle. The service is more consistent and I'm more certain of the ingredients that I'm eating. read more

I love visiting Newport Hot Head. Usually when I've been, there's a really sweet girl named Shantell, working the counter. And to me, friendly customer service makes the visit so much better. I love the steak burrito bowl. The steak bits are usually very moist and juicy. I load it up with all the good toppings. Especially the guacamole and queso. Which, btw, Hot Head's queso is a thousand times better than Chipotle! There quesadillas are good too. They're super cheesy. read more

I saw a Facebook Ad for 2 burritos or burrito bowls for $12 I had never had it so decided to give it a try. Ordered 2 chicken burrito bowls online, I do Keto so my bowl had no beans and no rice, well we get home and my bowl also has no chicken just toppings! So I called and the girl tells me no the lady that picked it up said no chicken my daughter picked it up and was ask when she went in if the one with no beans or rice should be on bed of lettuce she said yes not knowing that meant no chicken too! I guess that's what I get for trying something new because the price was good. Not such a good deal when really only got one bowl with double toppings. Won't return. read more

Overall, I would like to rate this place like a 3.5. The food is pretty solid, and they usually get you in and out pretty quick. I'm a big fan of Chipotle, and I have to say that Hot Heads definitely seems to give you less food for the money. I don't think the chips, rice, or chicken are as good and sometimes the service is kinda slow like they don't really prioritize you. All that being said, I generally enjoy eating here and take advantage of their 2 for 1 coupon often. read more

Best Hothead location I've been to! I've been to almost all of the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati locations. Very nice décor, food tastes fresh, friendly staff! Hoping that it isn't just that "new location excitement" that happens. Some other locations started just as good, but have since not been remotely as good as they once were. No stars. I ordered a carry out veggie burrito-brown rice, pico de gallo, guac on the side. Was so salty it was inedible. The vegetables were floating in brine. I called and explained the problem, they were very nice, said they just brought out a fresh batch, come back and they would make a new one. He said it probably wouldn't be better, as they use a 'fair amount' of salt. I came back-inedible again. Tossed it out. Not going back. Mouth still burning. We're not picky eaters. This place has way better fast mex than Chipotle across the street. The reason is because of the great selection of sauces, such as sweet habanero sauce, spicy bbq, taco, buffalo, etc. Additionally, they have amazing queso and two other types of cheese. I really used to like Hotheads, but now, their execution is so poor, I will have to start going back to Chipotle. They never have onions and peppers- their employees always seem like trainees, if you order chips and salsa, you get a bag of crumbs and broken chip pieces- really hard to dip crumbs in salsa. Their loyalty program might as well be nonexistent- if you buy 24 burritos the 25 is free. I expect they will be out of business soon. And that is too bad because they used to be good. read more

Hot Head seemed to get a lot of good buzz a couple of years ago. This was my first time trying it and I wasn't that impressed. This location wasn't busy at all but in spite of three employees at the counter, our orders were prepared at a snail's pace. My husband's burrito was drenched in sour cream and sauce, to the point where the last fifth of the burrito was goopy and inedible. Soda machine was broken and I got a mouthful of unflavored soda water for my trouble. The food was just okay and the employees were decidedly uninspired.
