The hubby wanted to try this pho place, because there is a bar. They have specific items on the drink menu and if you order something that isn't on the menu like a Long Island, it is an ordeal to make sure they can accommodate. They did make the Long Island and it was pretty good. I ordered a Thai ice tea and it was fresh and delicious, not too sweet. I ordered a fresh roll with tofu and pork, but there was no pork. I didn't want to wait to remake, so I ate it anyways. It was good. The hubby had a fried roll and the dipping sauce was sweet chili sauce, the fried roll tasted different than any fried roll I've ever had, the inside was mushy. The hubby didn't finish the roll. The pho was delicious! I had tofu and veggie pho with beef broth and it was so good. Broth was flavorful and there was a ton of tofu and veggies. read more

I LOVE Pho. As a vegetarian it's hard to find a good Vietnamese with veggie based broth but this place does! The Pho was DELICIOUS and everything was reasonably priced. The interior was spacious, clean and cute and themed like most Vietnamese restaurants - plus a huge fish tank. I was in the area playing golf and we decided to come here after our round. We showed up at around 7pm on Memorial day and the restaurant was empty. The atmosphere was pretty modern and clean, definitely doesn't feel like some other pho places that I've been to. The menu has all your traditional Vietnamese options: pho, vermicelli and rice bowls, bahn mi sandwiches. It even has some teriyaki options! All of their items are around $10, so it's pretty fair. Their pho tastes pretty average. The brisket was pretty good, but the meatballs just felt off -- just didn't really taste like beef like some of the other places. There also were only like 2 meatballs in my "Brisket and Meatball" pho. Their basil leaves were super limp and I can't imagine they tasted very good -- I had to skip those. Service was very hands off, but they were right behind the counter for us to flag them down. They didn't give us napkins to start with, so we had to ask for those. They came quickly, but it just felt weird that they weren't included at the start of the meal. In general, they have a lot of options and it seems that they do them well. Decor is definitely good enough to attract younger folks, and the price point is definitely affordable! read more

Who would know this strip mall held such a gem. I have to admit I am addicted to their vegetable fried tofu pho. Just writing this review makes my mouth water. Something about the broth is tasty. Ironically the broth is beef-based, but no complaints from me. Recently, they offered a vegetable broth, but I turned it down for the beef broth. The take-out is enough for two meals. Oh, the teriyaki place next door makes the best teriyaki, so we order pho from Hot Ginger for me and Teriyaki from Seasons for my friend. Let me start my saying I'm from the 408, otherwise known as one of the two Pho / Viet food capitols of this side of the world. As we were driving down from Seattle back to Portland we thought we'd stop for some light fare as we were nomming heavy cream laden foods up north. Found this gem and decided to try it out. The Pho broth was good, the portions healthy, and the prices reasonable. On top of this, the server stopped by twice to check on us and asked specifically if we needed anything else. Nice touch because you don't get that in the 408. So as I drive back to Portlandia, I will be sure to bookmark this stop and make sure to pay a visit next time we pass through! SKETCHY* I really wish I had read some of the reviews before coming here, but when you're hungry on a Sunday afternoon, there aren't many places open. 2nd sign to walk away should've been that there were maybe 3 people in there @3pm in the afternoon. But i ended up orderibg chicken teriyaki, as well as yakisoba with beef. So far so good...until I got my receipt, good thing I double check...they not only over charged my order, they also gave me incorrect change on top of that. So I corrected them and paid the correct amount and got my correct change back. I should have walked away and grabbed a refund. But still gave them a chance. Got home, looked at my food, nothing but over sauced traditional teriyaki food you'd find anywhere with bland flavor and a noodle dish that was 80% vegetables with little protein found. I love this place, but since they stopped serving Alaska Amber Beer, I gave them four stars. I asked them if they were going to be getting Alaska Beer and they said no. Oh well. I like thier Pho, and my wife eats the Teriyaki Meals, and Ramen"since she is japanese I'm not surprised". I usually eat their Cold noodles with Hot Pork with a spring Roll. Its hugh so I usually take out half of it home. Otherwise the service is pretty good. and I even tried their take out service which meant I could order the food to be picked up. I dont think they do deliveries, but I'm not sure about that. Their Bubble tea is pretty good, and they have a wide assortment of Banh Mi sandwiches. I think their Banh Mi sandwiches are only 6 inches so anything bigger you would have to order two sandwiches. Prices arent too bad, Have fun eating here. read more

It was five on a Wednesday night. A downpour. Perfect night for a steaming hot bowl of pho! We walked in and were pleasantly surprised by the clean, sleek design of the space. There was only one other table, fantastic! We're going to get some very personalized service... We ordered... Pho, pho combination and bubble teas. No water arrived. The fried roll arrived. Pho arrived. After multiple times asking we got water and bubble tea. My tea went back. It was more like a bubble slushee. My other half was more thirsty. I ordered the vegetarian pho with beef broth. It was good, but I've had more flavorful broth at other pho houses. It could have used a different taste profile to soup up the flavor. But for a local pho joint, it wasn't bad. I would visit again, after they have some time to work out the kinks. Be warned. They've only been open a month and I believe the staff to be very inexperienced. I saw multiple tables have to repeat requests in order to get what they wanted. read more

A friend suggested I try this place because she knows I like real Asian food. And by real, I mean not Americanized like some popular Chinese restaurants in Lacey. This place is freaking AWESOME. Reminiscent of the places in Seattle that I used to frequent. It's not Vietnam, it's more modernized. The place is fairly well decorated for being a brand new business. I just wish they were open till midnight. We've been to Hot Ginger twice so far and both times have been great. Love how the place is clean and well decorated - definitely one of the more "upscale" pho places in Lacey. So far, we've tried the spring rolls, various phos, chicken rice noodle bowls, chicken banh mi, and bubble tea. Everything has been excellent. Spring rolls all have plenty of shrimp, lettuce, and noodles. They taste fresh and just made, and the peanut sauce is yummy. The small pho is a decent size for most ppl, so I would order that unless you have a huge appetite. They definitely give you plenty of meat, and the broth is well flavored and not too salty. The noodle salad bowls are crisp and flavorful and loaded with both veggies and meat. I had the chicken banh mi for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how huge it was. I think it was $5 and i was stuffed after it. The bread was toasted and It had a ton of meat and jalapeños - so good. Only flaw was maybe too much sauce so the bread started to get soggy in the middle. All in all, a great, clean new pho place and definitely worth checking out! read more
