Buying by the case gets the best price, they have a loyalty program as well (buy 12 cases, get one FREE!)

Over 100 years ago Hosmer Mountain was founded as a spring water delivery service in Willimantic. It went through a few changes of ownership until being purchased by Arthur Potvin in 1958 who started using the spring water to make his own sodas, all by trial and error. Since it's very close to where I grew up and live I have been here more times than I can count. Years and years ago there used to be a competitor, The Pop Shoppe, just up the street but when they closed (some time in the 1980s) Hosmer Mountain became the only game in town and even took some of the old plastic 'cases' that are still in use there today. The company is environmentally friendly and reuses or recycles all their glass bottles. Many of the soda flavors are unique and some even still use real cane sugar. There are over 30 different varieties and they even carry hard-to-find brands like Moxie and Cheerwine from time to time. This location is just the 'soda shack' and is the second location besides the bottling plant and spring in Willimantic. The family still runs the place and they supply a number of local restaurants and grocery stores. It's not uncommon to see their bottles in any number of local establishments because it is a quality, local brand. I'm not a big soda drinker but during the summer I'll stop in once a month or so just to keep some on hand. This is great stuff from a great company and you are sure to find something you like. Five stars!

After having Hosmer at several local restaurants I decided to check out their Manchester warehouse to find their iced tea. It was small and rustic and cute. We decided to go for a 24 case, which came out to $22 after the drinks, deposits (refundable) and the small refundable fee for the cute red plastic case we carried it home in. We tried a variety of soda and iced tea and lemonade (they also have seltzer which we haven't yet tried). The soda is great, so was the tea which is the reason I went. They have a great variety of flavors and I love soda in a glass jar. If I was ever having a party I would definitely go here to stock up on favorites for my friends. The guy who worked here was super nice and helpful. I would definitely go back and buy another case when I need it.

Great little place. The soda is made right in Willimantic, CT, but this is a distribution point only. Drinks: There's a whole bunch of flavors, and some of them are really good. My favorites are the orange dry, grape, sarsaparilla, root beer, birch beer, black cherry, strawberry and cream soda. I'd personally pass on the ginger ale, tea, pink lemonade and cherry cola. I haven't tried their blue cola and red cola (obviously attempts at recreating the two leading brands), as why not just get the original for that? The ginger beer is supposedly good, but I'd wager to say it's a love it or hate it kind of thing, so if you've never had a ginger beer, only get one at first. Most of the others are pretty good, I leave them somewhere in the middle. Price: Pricing is reasonable. If you pay attention you'll find COUPONS in the mail periodically (in that little flip-book that's shaped more or less like a checkbook, but opens left to right instead of top to bottom. See the pic I uploaded for an example). Insider Info: I recommend getting a whole case of mix-n-match flavors your first time, and then making a list, so you can keep record of how much you liked/disliked each flavor, and thereby maximize the tastiness next time! They offer "buy ten cases get one free" hole-punch cards. (or something like that). The calorie value on some of these is quite high (higher than other more traditional sodas even), so you may want to keep that in mind. Sarsaparilla, for those that don't know, is more or less root beer, but with sarsaparilla root flavor that adds a little "bite." I have a hunch that Barq's is a sarsaparilla enhanced root beer. So if your prefer a sweet root beer go for the standard root beer Hosmer offers, and if you want a little bite, go for the sarsaparilla. (Or just get both!) KEEP YOUR EMPTIES! - The used to have a deposit on the carrying cases, but I think it might be on the bottles now instead. Your first case will be more expensive than the rest as a result, but the next will be an even deposit swap. There's an option for DELIVERY, but I've never used it. www.hosmersoda.com

Great selection of locally made soda (the good stuff with real sugar). I like the Cream Soda the best. They often have new custom flavors too. The cost per case is pretty cheap especially when you come back and get bottle refunds (more than just 5 cents)

Old school pop-shop. The Birch Beer is the best I've ever had. Prices are good- look for coupons in the paper for an even better deal.

First time going to Trattoria Toscana an Italian restaurant tucked away in Manchester …read more I must say I had a fabulous time , our waitress was amazing she got us everything we needed and checked on us constantly and was very sweet ! The ambiance was nice and cozy , good music playing in the background , not to loud and easy to have a conversation . To start off we got the Italian meatballs which were amazing highly recommend. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks which I loved the cheese pull was perfection and nice crunch on the outside , highly recommend as well . For my entre I got the NY strip . Served with mashed potatoes and green beans and topped with mushrooms and gorgonzola ! The sides were good but I really enjoyed my steak ! It was cooked medium rare , and the gorgonzola cheese on top was perfection ! I highly enjoyed it ! For dessert I got the tiramisu which was fantastic ( small portion) but very good ! Highly recommend ! Overall 5/5 ! Good atmosphere , good service and great food ! Perfect for family gatherings , eating with friends or even a date night ! Can't wait to be back !

Busy place for a Wednesday evening. Our server, Autumn, was efficient, pleasant, and attentive. My friend and I split rollatinis, which were very good. She also had the veal parm (her go-to meal at TT). I went for Grandma Lena's Sunday Sauce. Don't tell my doctor, but we also had four Aperol Spritzes. My first time; very refreshing. Rolls arrived w a saucer of EVOO mixed w spices. Her VP covered the plate...a very generous portion. Side of penne. My dish reminded me of my sister's best friend, Honey's Sunday sauce. A smorgasbord of different meats and other ingredients slow-cooked all afternoon. There was sausage, braised short ribs, a meatball, etc over spaghetti in a marinara sauce w a dollop of ricotta on top. Both of us took leftovers home. A couple of other things to mention. On Wednesday evening, TT features live music. On this day, it was a singer / guitar player. While she was very good, it can get loud, especially if you're seated in close proximity. Also, entrees took a bit longer to arrive. Maybe because of the crowd? Anyway, food was awesome, drinks potent. A relaxing way to spend an evening. 5 stars

I've been to Elicit Brewing Company in Manchester multiple times -- probably around six times at…read morethis point -- and every single visit has been such a fun experience. This place is HUGE and has so many different vibes all in one building, which I absolutely love. The drink selection is one of my favorite parts. They have so many beers on tap, plus cider flights, sour flights, beer flights -- all different types of flights if you're like me and enjoy trying a little bit of everything. And if beer isn't your thing, they have cocktails too, so everyone in your group can find something they like. The food is just as impressive. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls are AMAZING -- crispy, flavorful, and honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The burgers are delicious, and the desserts? Oh my goodness. The deep-fried Oreos are next-level. Atmosphere is where Elicit really stands out. There's the big open beer hall feel inside, but also different sections depending on what kind of night you're looking for. It can be chill and casual earlier in the evening, then turn into more of a going-out/club vibe later on. There's a cocktail bar upstairs, and as the night goes on the energy really shifts. In the summer they have bands (sometimes outside), a full outdoor bar, a fireplace, two inside bars, a little quieter lounge area with couches, and even a small game room. Bathrooms upstairs and downstairs make it convenient, and you can rent rooms for private parties too. I also like how the food ordering works -- they give you a pager and you pick up your food when it's ready. Tables are first come, first serve though, so definitely save your spot because you can lose your seat if you're not careful, especially on busy nights. It does get packed on weekends, so I recommend getting there early if you want a good table for your group. But overall, it's one of my go-to spots in Manchester when I want good drinks, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a place I'll keep going back to -- and those Philly cheesesteak egg rolls will always bring me back.

So I was super excited when I saw they were hosting a galentines day drag brunch !! The drag show was amazing !!! But I was disappointed that there was no BRUNCH food . You can't have a brunch show and no brunch . They did offer a regular menu to order from . The other problem is that there were no servers so we had to order food and go downstairs pick up our own food and. Then bring it back upstairs... which is very annoying if you are going there for a show and have to leave to get food ! Not to mention there was an issue doors were suppose to open at 10 am so we got there early to get seats settle in and order food . However the doors open well after 10:30 . And possibly an issue with the bartenders ( not being available) but they were able to figure that out thankfully by the 11 am show . So a lot of issues .. the show itself was amazing . The food was okay . I did end up getting the grilled chicken sandwich which was good ( nothing amazing ) and the fries were plain no seasoning . 3/5 for the food . The drinks were good ! I ordered the strawberrry Hugo spritz that had elderflower in it which I really enjoyed all flavours were balanced equally (4/5 ) and then I tried the peach hard palmer which I was not a fan off (3/5 ) Drag show 10/10 ! ( highly recommend ) I wish they advertised it a just a drag show and not a brunch + show ( since there was no brunch options ) ! And also a very limited Valentine's Day cocktails ( only one option of a red velvet martini) Overall fun event but need to plan events better if they do plan on hosting and consider adding food specific for the event ( or not advertise as brunch .. if you don't plan on offering brunch food ) !
