I have been wanting to try this place for 2 years. I don't typically come up to this area- but occasionally work brings me this way. So for the past 2- I was always coming up on the ONE weekday they were closed. I finally saw that it was open today and went out of my way to try it! It was absolutely worth the wait. I got a strawberry watermelon smoothie and you could tell it was all fresh fruit used and it was so delicious! Definitely top 5 best smoothies I've ever had!!! This reminded me of a smoothie I got in the Dominican Republic- so FRESH & so delicious. The place is small- but ADORABLE! It was IMMACULATE in terms of cleanliness. I didn't see a speck of dust anywhere and the toppings for ice cream- appeared out of a magazine- it looked that picture perfect. They have a little swing against a wall- with a neon sign that says the name of the establishment. It appeared functional- but I didn't want to break it- if it wasn't so I didn't try it. Lol. Service was great! Friendly and personable staff and my smoothie came right out. It took under 4 minutes for me to get this delicious smoothie!! I love their Mangonada - it's a frozen drink that's wonderfully cold on a hot day, it has a little kick of Tajin which makes it better than any other Mango frozen drink! Algerete was my favorite thing here. Ferrero Rocher, Kit kat and Nutella - what else you need. Guanabana juice was excellent as well. I could taste the fresh guanabana in it. Owner knew exactly what the food is, and is very passionate about it. There were 3 food items in the menu - nachos, bocadillo and hot dog. But I would recommend going here for the dessert/drink. Chicken bocadillo was good. Hot dog was ok. There were 3 or 4 tables inside, and some outdoor seats as well. read more

Limberia Tropical Algarete is a total hidden gem! This is my new favorite spot in Willimantic. The owner puts so much detail into the presentation of the frappes, and they taste amazing! Whether you're craving something sweet, or something refreshing like the fruit frappes, I promise you'll be so glad you walked in the door. I already want to come back in the summer for another passionfruit limber! Forget Italian ice, the limbers from here are where it's at! The ham bocadillo and nachos were tasty too, and next time I'll have to try a hot dog - there was one with potato sticks that looked really good.
