I really loved the idea and figured it would be a fun change of pace as this year has been such a crazy one anyways! One of the most important and valuable questions that I asked her in follow up was, "where do you get your shaved steak from?" The answer leads me here to Bogner's. What a cool find in Manchester. There were so many people picking up holiday orders when I walked in and I know why now. Because they are awesome! Not one, not two, but three people helped me with my purchases and finding the 10 pounds of shaved steak that i needed for a really great price at that. I walked out of there with all sorts of fun things too- like onion rings, french fries, chicken tenders, pickles, sauces---they have so many things you might need and again- all for great prices! What a find! Everyone was as friendly as can be and the end result- the cooked Philly Cheesesteaks--so delicious! I will certainly keep this tradition going not only for Christmas, but also for other friend and family gatherings in the future. It's just really fun and we can all use a little more fun in our lives, right?! Cheers and Happy New Year! Can't wait to visit Bogner's again! Definitely check them out!

On our first visit we ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Wild Turkey. The service was so good, all of the guys behind the deli made sure everyone was promptly assisted. When I lifted the bag of our 2 sandwiches, it was as heavy as a brick!! The sandwiches were so big we split one for lunch and one for dinner. The winner was the pulled pork, but we loved the turkey too. We returned a couple of days later for another pulled pork sandwich and I also ordered a giant dill pickle I saw on the counter. This place also has a huge selection of raw meats and prepared foods and a bunch of random local goodies and sauces to try. Again, I wish I took a picture of my sandwich, but I forgot about the existence of my phone while I was enjoying it :)

Overall, I found this restaurant to be okay. I had tried another location a few years ago in MA, and have not really been impressed by this chain. Last time I got the empanada tacos and that was delicious. However, today was a fail. The carnita felt like a dry pernil that didn't have flavor but salt. Eating it with rice and lettuce didn't hit the spot. I added hot sauce and I felt like it wasn't worth the money. The empanada filling was actually good, but it wasn't super greasy coming out the fryer prob needs to drain the oil a bit more. It was just a fail for me today. I'll still come back for their empanada tacos.

World Market is such a beautiful store. There are isles of international cookies, chocolate and other goods. There's also beautiful furniture, pillows and kitchen items. I personally wouldn't invest in a couch from World Market because it's typically very expensive, and you can find similar items at other retailers. But they have unique accent chairs and small attractive furniture items. My favorite thing to get here, in addition to the chocolate, are the Christmas ornaments. They are so, so beautiful, and so unique. There is so much detail in each one. Now that it's after Christmas, they are all 50% off, making each one around $2.50 - $4.00. If you have a World Market in your area, I'd encourage you go and check them out. While some items are more expensive, the unique items, hard to find items and the nostalgic items are what it's worth stopping for.

I bought my food, took it home for pics, then dug in. Flavor-wise, it was okay. The fish Kati was good. Lots of fresh veggies and the fish was properly cooked. Good amount of sauce and a grilled pita. The chicken in the Kati and the korma were a little dry, but seasoned well. The rice was lightly seasoned and the salad was fresh. Not bad as a bite, but lacking punch. The samosa chaat was missing spice. Too heavy on the tomato sauce, needed more spice. The veggie samosas were really good though. When ringing me up, they messed up on the register and overcharged me a dollar. Even with that mess up, it still was relatively cheap. For everything, was about 30 bucks for everything. They also forgot to pack sauces that I asked for, but once again they are new. As a grocery store, it's good prices and fresh products. As a street food locale, it's good for quick bites but there are growing pains. Go in with an open mind and patience, and you'll get some good cheap eats.
