New Japanese/Korean fusion in Keller - Enjoying the new diverse options in the area and Hoshi definitely nails it. The decor was nice, open, and designed very well. The service was quick and we got the food out pretty quickly which helped because we were in a time crunch. Our favorite part was the food! Enjoyed everything we ordered. Korokke was crispy savory and sweet. The spicy karaage wasn't to spicy but had a semi-sweet flavor similar to Korean fried chicken. I enjoyed my entree which was the tonkatsu. It was super flaky and tender - was juicy more towards the center where it was thicker. The curry udon was great too, if anything I'm just used to it being a little thicker. This could definitely become one of my regular spots because how close it is to me. Also not confirmed yet but I saw BYOB on the menu! I am not a ramen fan, so I ordered the B6, Tonkastu, and an A8, the steam bun. The Tonkastu was delicious and I would order it again, but the steam bun was not my favorite. I loved the way the restaurant was laid out. It made the restaurant feel open and relaxing. read more

Husband had the hoshi ramen with miso broth and it was also bland. Took a peek in the kitchen on my way to the bathroom and all employees seemed to be 22 and under. Really good Japanese fusion! They have classic Japanese cuisine including good sushi, and also some pleasantly surprising spicy dishes as well. Good selection of apps- we really liked the Chashu Bun, Ebi Fry. I've had their Bulgogi Bowl and the Spicy Pork Bowl - both very good, and the latter IS spicy! My family and I went here for lunch. It is a very nice and clean restaurant with wonderful service!! My husband and I got the kimchi ramen with tonkatsu broth, which was basically the Hoshi ramen, but with Kim chi. It was delicious! The broth was "clean" and flavorful. The pork chashu was not as tender as I would like, but I do appreciate the more lean cut for today's batch. The noodles were the perfect texture! Our kids had the kids bulgogi, which was delicious with quality cuts of beef. I'd like to come back for dinner to sample the soju menu! I hate to do this, but this was the worst ramen I've ever had. Very very underwhelming, the broth was super plain, almost no flavor, the chasu pork was disrespectfully thin and a bit overcooked, and you could tell the corn came straight from a can. And for that you're paying nearly $20 for a bowl, I'd have had a better time and experience with more flavor from a package of top ramen for substantially less. This new Korean-Japanese fusion place is worth trying! I love the authentic dishes that they have here. Definitely get the spicy chicken karaage! It has that korean fried chicken flavor I've been looking for in Keller. Korokke was a hit also, it's different because it was made out of pumpkin with potatoes. It wasn't starchy, but more of a sweet flavor. Tonkatsu had a soft crunchy texture, which I loved and the meat was actually moist! The curry udon was a little more diluted than I liked. Amazing place for ramen!! The service was spectacular and the food was beyond my expectation. Serving sizes were pretty big in comparison with other ramen establishments. We were offered extra broth since we ordered extra noodles. My favorite was the Texan ramen. The broth was Smokey and the meat was so tender. Ladies and gentlemen, the secret is about to be out. First, let me tell you what brought me here. I was taking a friend to another ramen spot in Southlake when I learned it was closed so we immediately recalibrated the ole GPS and, what do you know, we found heaven. But you are not here to read about ambiance or even robots (as cool as they are), you want to now about the food. My buddy wound up with a Bento box of Chicken Karaage and various other pickled and fresh elements. He RAVED about the chicken so I can happily report that it is delicious. Now for the ramen. I'm admittedly a bit of a ramen snob, so if you say you make great Tonkotsu you better back it up. When the robot brought me my ramen for a second I was transported back to Japan. First off, the broth and tare were unreal. The depth of flavor truly showed the skills of the chef. There is no telling how long it takes to get a broth that velvety smooth. Went for a late lunch to satisfy a ramen craving. Simple and minimal design / decor but just enough to give it a nice ambiance. I was surprised how busy they were at an odd time on a Sunday but happy to see it! Friendly welcome from the staff and seated quickly. I ordered the Texas Ramen and liked that it had the different proteins in it. I got it with the Tonkotsu broth which was light and tasty. If I were to nitpick, I'd say it could use a tad more flavor but I am by no means a ramen expert. He forgot to request no mushrooms but was able to pick most of them out and transferred to my bowl. Hoshi Ramen opened recently and I didn't want to wait for others to review the restaurant. Unfortunately we couldn't find a time to go to the restaurant so we ordered takeout. First problem was Hoshi Ramen was so new they didn't have a phone number on any of the sites I checked. The phone number is 682-593-0743. I went to the restaurant and ordered lunch for two. Started with the Potato Shrimp as an appetizer, main courses were Bulgogi Bowl and Yakisoba Noodles with Shrimp. Potato Shrimp was very good and highly recommended. Jane had the Bulgogi Bowl and her comment was "we need to go back soon". The Yakisoba was very good but not as good as the Bulgogi in my opinion. While waiting for our takeout, I had the opportunity to watch the waitstaff helping other customers. Everyone seemed happy with their food and service. Mi took my togo order and was quick and efficient. I believe this is the first use of this space in the shopping center and the deco was very nice with a Tokyo vibe. Overall impression, food was very good, service was excellent especially for a recently opened restaurant, deco was on point. The food at this establishment is your typical hibachi style food. i do not recommend ordering to go or delivery. somehow the time difference between the restaurant and home changes the quality of the food. best to eat it fresh if at all possible. the service is pretty much fast food style if you're ordering to go.
