Out of the companies that responded through Yelp, he came across as one of the most professional and serious about understanding the project rather than simply giving a quick estimate. He replied quickly to my questions through Yelp and was able to come out in a very reasonable timeframe to evaluate the work and discuss ideas in person. We hired Moe and the Optivest Build team for a decorative pergola/faux balcony repair and replacement project involving redwood, exterior trim work, stucco work, door jamb and casing repairs, sealing, and painting. The contract process was straightforward and I appreciated the flexibility and payment structure based on project milestones rather than everything being front-loaded. After Moe's initial site visit and evaluation, it became clear that a more comprehensive rebuild approach for most of the structure made more sense than piecemeal repairs. Moe explained the long-term benefit of rebuilding the deteriorated portions together rather than replacing isolated components now and potentially dealing with additional mobilization and repair costs again a few years later. I appreciated that he was not simply replacing wood, but also improving areas where the original design appeared to contribute to moisture issues. As the project progressed and portions were opened up, some additional weather and age-related deterioration was uncovered, which led to a few adjustments and additional repair steps along the way. Moe worked with me through options for addressing things as they were discovered and helped walk me through the process and next steps, which reduced some of the stress and uncertainty that can come with larger exterior repair projects. What stood out to me was that Moe stayed involved throughout the project, communicated with me consistently, personally came by to check on things, and had his project manager and crew return when touch-up or punch-list items needed attention. Even as the scope evolved, Moe stayed engaged throughout the project and continued working through follow-up, touch-up, and close-out items professionally. The crew was always polite and respectful of our property, worked hard throughout the project, and the project was fully cleaned up and closed out professionally at the end. No construction project is completely stress-free, but I appreciated that concerns were addressed and that the team worked to make things right when needed. In the end, the pergola turned out looking great, as did the additional trim, stucco, and repair work completed throughout the project. We are happy with the final result and would feel comfortable recommending Moe and Optivest Build to others looking for a responsive and professional contractor. Grateful to Moe and his crew for their job well done.

Easy to understand and appreciate. They expertly tackled a dry rot nightmare on the back of our house - a nightmare which we though had been remedied by another contractor years ago. Turns out that contractor made matter worse. Antone and crew were able to identify the sources of water intrusion - roof, gutter, a rotted window, wood siding, you name it. It took some time chasing down the dry rot, but the end result is that this side of the house looks as good as the time of original construction. The crew was punctual, neat and tidy, coordinated well with other trades, and they were fair in their pricing. All in all, a solid performance. I have referred NS Contractors to a work colleague, and will invites them back to address some fix-it items on the front of the house.

Then, out of nowhere, we came across Chris, and from the very first conversation, he showed compassion, honesty, and genuine care. He couldn't believe what had happened to us and made it his mission to help us get our home and our peace of mind back. Chris and his crew started immediately and went above and beyond in every possible way. Since we were living in the home during construction, he built us a makeshift kitchen, secured areas without windows, and made sure we were comfortable and safe while the remodel was underway. His workmanship and attention to detail were outstanding -- he not only fulfilled our plans but added thoughtful extras, like a beautiful half bath we hadn't even imagined could fit. We started this whole mess on July 6th and I honestly thought my marriage was going to survive about 3 days of no sink. Done Right Builders showed up at 7 AM sharp that first morning and I will be real with you I was bracing for the worst because our last contractor ghosted us after demo. But these guys? They actually communicated. Like daily texts with photos. There was one screw up around week two where they ordered the wrong backsplash tile and I panicked because I thought we would be delayed another month. They owned it by noon that same day and had the correct tile expedited and installed by July 22nd at 4 PM. My only tiny complaint is they play loud 90s rock music during tear-out but honestly I miss it now. They swept our floors every single night which my weirdly picky mother noticed and she never notices anything. Done Right Builders is expensive but worth every penny because we did not have to redo a single thing.
