I like the neighborhood vibe of this cute little pub. There is an indoor and outdoor section. I had a sandwich and soup- soup was great, sandwich had too much bread for my taste but the contents were tasty. Service is where I dropped a star. We were served something that definitely wasn't a Pilsner but they insisted it was a Pilsner. Service was slow leading to a line to order.

If a Reuben costs $17, it better change my life. It better grab me by the collar of my shirt and slap me around. It better make me consider opening my own delicatessen so that, one day, if I work tirelessly, I might produce something that merely apes its godly existence. Alas, the Hopvine's Reuben is just pretty good, much like the rest of this cozy watering hole's standard, if a bit pricey, bar food fare. In addition to the Reuben, my mistress and I tried the pizza and the pizza knots--both existed on the upper end of the serviceable spectrum. But I assume many Hopvine patrons aren't visiting this establishment for the food. Rather, they'd like to drink and catch up with an old friend. In this realm, the Hopvine earns top marks. It's approachable, not too loud or rowdy, and provides a pleasant respite during a chilly, wet Seattle evening. I'll be returning again for the cozy vibes and to quench my thirst. Dinner, though, will likely come first. Four stars.

Cozy dog-friendly neighborhood pub with slightly elevated bar food - great home made soups, wings, and decent pizza with fresh ingredients. The current manager does an amazing job creating a sense of community with lots of fun and inclusive events.

The garlic knots were quite good. The chips and salsa were fine. We liked the selection of beers and had two blondes and an amber. They had a hockey game on which was interesting. Just a chill neighborhood bar feel. The bartender was polite and greeted us when we came in, but only IDed me, not my husband, which we found a little odd. Overall it was a nice spot to stop for a pint and their bathrooms were quirkily decorated.

It's a cool place with a laid back PNW vibe. Had a Pfreim Blond IPA and some nachos. The nachos were OK, something you could make at home, the IPA was great. It's a great place for a beer.

Pretty shitty service. Be warned that they have an open mic night. But they have the best soup I've ever had.

As a cider fan, I was especially happy to see a solid variety of options. Although I had a frustrating experience with the kitchen, but I'd still come back. It was an especially hectic day with multiple events and a soccer game, so it seemed like everyone arrived at once. I ended up waiting about an hour for my food, which was disappointing. That said, the staff handled the situation really well, there was consistent communication, and they took the time to engage with us, which I appreciated. Still, the kitchen delays and order issues shouldn't be overlooked. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of games, which I'm looking forward to trying next time. The location is another plus, just a few minutes' walk from the T-Link, making it very convenient.

Still decent, just not something I'd rave about. The mini golf is definitely the highlight. It's really cute how the course spells out "SEATTLE," and I loved the little Space Needle to end the last of the mini golf holes. That said, there are only 9 holes and they're pretty small, so it goes by quickly. Drinks are all on tap and feature local/Washington breweries, which I really appreciated. I love supporting local! We came during their February deal and it was such a great value -- $45 for a pizza, two pint glasses to take home, two drinks, and unlimited games. Honestly, that made the experience feel totally worth it. Duffleboard was fun, though it looked a little outdated. They also had cornhole and a ping pong table, which made it feel like like there variety of things to do. Loved the vibes/ambiance (fun art and murals) and music. Overall, a fun spot for a casual hangout -- especially if you catch one of their deals!

All the…read moreoutdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

I didn't find the pours I got to be particularly memorable. I had a Circuit breaker which was probably the best. Pomegranate sour was passable as was the Citra streaker, but none of them slapped. The place was swamped with people and while I understand the setting. for the number of staff running around here, the place was dirty. I'd think they'd have a couple of the servers come thought and sweep up and clean the tables. So my impressions of Old Stove is that it's a huge restaurant/brewery that tourists can come to as it's close to Pike Place and the pier, but as a result is slammed so bad that it looks a bit worse for the wear, or at least it was on my visit on a weekday evening.
