Stopped in with my son for a late lunch. We never ate here so we thought to try it. We were greeted when we walked in and brought to a table. Drink order was taken quickly and we ordered when our drinks were brought. Food arrived quickly. I had the chicken tenders and fries. My son had the chicken sandwich. The chicken in both meals was so tender and juicy. Both were top notch delicious. Everything tasted so fresh. Friendly and efficient service. We will be back. read more

Hops N Drops is a nice looking restaurant with a classic sports bar, pub ambiance. We love restaurants with outdoor seating, and we took advantage of this since it was a beautiful day. The view (street) is not that great, but we prefer being outdoors. We started out with the Caprese appetizer, and it was excellent. My girlfriend had the Gummy Bear cocktail, and it was awesome! It is a creative, unique creation which used ice as the drinking glass. Very cool! I think the restaurant even won an award for this cocktail. Unfortunately for me, there were only 3 choices of IPA on tap, and I did not prefer 2 of them. We took advantage of their Happy Hour deals, and we appreciated that their portions were quite generous. The Street Tacos and :Buffalo Wings were very good. The Garlic Fries were average and tasted like they were cooked in Chinese food oil. The Rib Tips were chewy and tasted bland without sauce. The sauce, fortunately, was good. The Rib Tips from Famous Dave's are better. Customer service was average. The restaurant and bathroom were clean. Parking was plentiful. read more

These employees are amazing! I went in tonight and mentioned I was craving Italian food but didn't want to travel out of Keizer and my kid just wanted a burger; so we compromised. I was kinda joking around with the waiter about it while looking at the menu. She said to hold on while she talked to the manager. She came back and said they could make a custom order with penne pasta including a marina and Alfredo with chicken. I was blown away and said go for it! It was really good! There was several people that came over to ask if I liked it including the cook. They really go above and beyond to make their customers happy. My kids also enjoy the burgers/sandwiches with tots and the wide variety of drinks! We will return over and over. read more

YUM... In love with their drops here !! The iced cup concept is so clever and paired with a mini shaker is . Atmosphere is causal, clean and spacious. Sports bar vibe. Service was excellent. Today we shared the guac burger with tots, happy hour pork rib ends, mozzarella sticks and a couple cocktail drops. Everything was very tasty! Some of the meat could be more tender with the pork ends, tots and mozzarella sticks were nice and crispy, pretty good burger . Nice serving sizes, big happy hour serving sizes as well. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. From the moment we sat down until the moment we talked out the door, we were treated like family. Our server Livia was excellent. We asked to split the hamburger platter. They actually brought it to us already split!! I had NEVER had this happen in any restaurant. They always come with an extra plate and let you do it yourself. Not here! It was so thoughtful and showed great consideration for the customer. We spoke with the manager to praise our server and she couldn't have been nicer. We returned the next day and found the same wonderful experience. Eddie was the manner on duty. We spoke with him at length as well. The place is a favorite to bring guests visiting my family. The entrees are delicious but most in my household navigate to the burgers. Beer, cider and mixed cocktails are all great to. The food is very good. This is a great place to eat with the family or have happy hour with friends. The menu has some really good options. I have always had great timely service when eating here. I last visited on a Sunday with my Parents for lunch. They had a variety of options to choose from and they make some solid drinks. You have to try the DROPS. read more

I really like this place and visit regularly, but I have a little trouble putting a finger on 'why'. I think it's a matter of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts; it all works together even if some of the pieces are a little off. I like the atmosphere, I like the decor, I like the staff, and I like the presentation of the food. Yes, the prices are above what might be expected if you only consider the food, but the place has charms that make up the difference. I often drop in after 9:00 pm during their late happy-hour when the appetizers are well discounted and the drinks (good beer list) come less dearly. Well worth a try. read more

We just went to Hops n Drops for my husband's 40th birthday, and we had a great time. The staff is so friendly, the restaurant is clean and comfortable. It has music, but is quiet enough that we could have a great conversation. It was a really pleasant place, so much so that we sat and I had another drink after our food was gone because we were having such a nice time, just enjoying our time there. The drinks are yummy. The food is fantastic. We tried a couple of apps, burgers, and some mac-n-cheese. It was all delicious. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor. Definitely the best burgers we've had in the area. So at first I seriously thought that Hop Jack's was going to be another Applebee's, but my wife wanted to try the restaurant so I gave it a try. I was completely blown away, as soon as we walked in, within seconds an employee asked how we were doing and if we wanted to sit inside or outside. We choose to sit outside, not only where the tables and chairs comfortable, but the service was top notch. I usually will look at the menu online and decide on what I want before I go to a restaurant, which I did. But our waitress Darcie, truly amazing! She highly recommended any of the Burgers, because all the meat patties are made, then cooked not frozen. So I tried the Bacon Burger with no cheese and my wife got a shrimp sandwich. Both where amazing, and cooked perfectly! To drink we both got a flavored lemonades. In the future, we will be dinning here again, and enjoying some cocktails. Thank you! Hop Jacks! read more

4.5 stars My boyfriend and I were running errands nearby so we decided to try Hop Jack's again. The food was definitely an improvement from our previous visit. We sat in the bar area and was quickly helped by Amber (I think that was her name, I can't remember now). We ordered the Southwestern taquitos as an appetizer. They were large pieces with great flavor in each bite. They also provided a lot of salsa, sour cream and guacamole for dipping. I tried their summer bbq chicken wrap with a side of fries. The wrap was filling and would have been the perfect amount, but I was so full after eating the appetizer and having a beer. My boyfriend had the spicy shrimp po'boy. He thought it was really good with large pieces of fried shrimp. The only downside was that it wasn't spicy at all. That's mostly the issue we had our first visit - anything marked spicy wasn't spicy at all. For 1 appetizer, 2 pints, 2 entrees - our total was ~$51. read more

I wasn't sure how the food would be here but once I saw fried pickles I knew I had to go here. The pickles are nothing short of amazing! The batter was so light and the pickles were mild in flavor. They give you enough pickles for about 4 people, bring your appetite. I ordered the margarita and it was made well. I ordered the veggie burger with tots. The burger was mediocre, I can't say it was worth $13. I asked for the sauce on the side however something on the bun that made it soggy. The tots were awesome, of course. I wanted to make buffalo tots but the buffalo sauce was dangerously hot. I actually started sweating a bit. I would stop by here for the pickles and drinks any day of the week. Wanted to try the food. Still do. Ok so here's what happened today. Me and my wife are in that part of town. Looks like a good place to eat at. Still don't know if it is.... I'll get to that in a second. We get there and the hostess is holding the door and greets us. Very nice and lovely person. Really everyone we felt with was nice. Busy but nice. We sat down at a table that was dirty. To be fair we sat down at that table and the hostess cleaned it right then and there. She then said our server would be there shortly. We see half a dozen people go by us for 20 min. Our sever finally shows up and gets our beer and food order. And then we don't see her for another 20 mins when she asked if I need another beer. Then around 1250 I ask for the check and out food Togo because we needed to be somewhere at one. She said ok and then went off and did something else. Not sure what. We waited for a few more min and just said we can't wait and I put some money on the table for the beers and left. The place is nice and the people are nice, but there was a break down in communication somewhere where we didn't know our whole order would take a hour. If we had known ticket times where that long we would have tried it a different time. Don't get me wrk g I still want to try this place. Everything looked good and the house beer was good. But if you don't have a spare 90 min for your food, two beers, and your check then I'd check somewhere else out. But if you have nothing to do all day check it out. read more

First time here was a success. We had the BBQ Mac & Cheese and a spicy sandwich -- I totally forgot what the exact name was. We also enjoyed margaritas and garlic fries. ALL of that was incredibly delicious AND the service was on top of it too. We really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and staff. The design of the dinning areas is relaxed and comfortable while still being clean and well executed. While I rated Hop Jacks for be stars and I'm planning on going back within the same week as the first visit I would recommend staying away from the chocolate cake. My only hesitation with it is that you could clearly taste "refrigerator" -- meaning the cake wasn't fresh and/or stored in an air tight container (assumably) As long as you get he other desserts I'm sure you can't go wrong. Okay don't get this confused at all I love hop jacks food,drinks are amazing. This is the fourth time I've come here and two out of the four times I have seen a "manager" named heather be extremely rude. Not to just the customer but the employees. Today was my birthday and I went in to have good time with some friends I haven't seen in a while.(I recommended this place) our server Brent was super nice! made us all laugh made jokes with us and helped with picking drinks. Heather on the other hand was so rude when she came by to drop off our drinks. She kept making rude facial expressions towards us . Put down my girlfriends drink first as my friend tried to grab her lemon drop to pour it herself heather pulled it back and poured it for her. Was very noticeable and awkward how she pulled back . Our other friend had ordered two drinks one for me and one for him. When heather asked who got which drink he was trying to explain he got a Huckle berry lemon drop and a strawberry lemon drop for me she put down the strawberry and said you can't have both just one . When my friend was trying to explain she wouldn't listen and just said she would lose her liquor license and walked away and yelled at Brent for telling us it was okay. I understand there are rules and regulations but she should have let us explain. And told Brent nicely but we could hear her from BEHIND the bar telling him off. I can sum up this place in one word: pedestrian. Sure, cold beer! Who doesn't like that? But seriously the food is super forgettable. But hey, that's ok! Sometimes the food can just take a back seat for some people, as in, "oh, they serve food too!" It's just not why you come here. We stopped by for happy hour. We tried the edamame, boneless buffalo wings and their caprese flatbread. The edamame were just salted steamed pods. Nothing spectacular about them. The boneless wings were super tough, frozen breaded chicken like you get at the supermarket. Totally nothing special about them. The flatbread? Ehh...it was that cracker crust sort of flatbread with no personality or anything. Again, just nothing special about it. Will we be back? No. We can get cold beer elsewhere and better food. Like even Applebee's has better food and I really don't like Applebee's. Whoever is giving this place 4 stars either doesn't get out that much or is just plain being disingenuous. read more

Went here yesterday and was fairly impressed . I was kinda surprised how tiny the restaurant is, but I was able to sit in the bar area and served super fast. I ordered the jalapeño burger and it was very tasty! I also tried a huckleberry Moscow mule type drink and it was so cool on that ice cone they serve, but was overpriced for such a drink. Loved the beer selection being mostly local beers! Food was great, service was excellent ( Jessica the bartender) was fun. I'd definitely come back and try new food items. Large portions, great appetizers and delicious and original cocktails. I had the homemade potato chip nachos and cream cheese jalapeno burger and they were both really tasty. I was fortunate as one of the Carpenters to finish building this fine family gathering place. On the final day of March 23 2018, the finishing touches was over and all HopJack's trainees were there for orientation. Kitchen was bustling with cooks and servers and also at the bar. The aroma of food was inviting while I was doing paint touch up in the bathrooms. Later on the day the GM ask us to drop the tools and sit down," lunch is on the house" he said. Never heard of HopJack's before and boy oh boy the Guacamole Angus beef burger was really good, it's the bun I must say.
