I have not been waxed in like two years! literally pre-baby, and he is 10 months old now. So you guys know what that means for a bikini full, it's like the first time all over again, OUCH. However from start to finish, EWC hooked me up. I specifically asked for someone more seasoned, and they booked me with Buffy. I've asked this before at different locations like in Co and Ca, and still it was whatever. So when you have someone newer, I feel like they forget to do the lip, and then they like have to pull at the hair & skin at the same time to get a good grip to rip it all out, and that mess is uncomfortable, but not Buffy, she did good lips which means she could just grab and pull out. She told me when to breathe and exhale, and told me the most engaging story about her son being in boot camp, I was barely thinking about the fact that I was exposed lol. I am the type to get nervous having my hoo-ha all out in the open on the table, then the added uncomfortableness makes me really clammy, which feels embarrassing, but she was so quick and efficient and always applied pressure after pulling to help with the pain, so I barely got clammy at all. It was done so quickly and efficiently I was pleasantly surprised. And now, I will actually go back and use my passes I bought. I'm telling you, I bought my pass in California in like 2017 maybe 2018, and barely used it, but this experience changed the game for me, I def won't mind going regularly again. Thanks Buffy! You were a pleasure. I def will be bringing more than $5 cash on me next time for a better tip, bcus just wow!

I found this Salon on Groupon for an offer on a facial. The facial itself was relaxing and the…read moreesthetician was nice. She didn't make small talk during the facial which I was ok with but I have no clue what she was doing or putting on my face which since it was my first time, I would have liked to know what was happening/going on my face. Still an enjoyable experience. The receptionist (blonde with glasses) however was the down fall. When I got there, the two ladies behind the counter seemed bored and were playing on their phones. When I gave my paperwork, she kept her back to me and said "all done? Ok, just a minute" because she was too busy scrolling through Facebook to turn and talk to me then took a few minutes to actually help me. After my appointment, I came out and she said "you're all done unless you want to leave a tip." Which of course I planned to do, I left a little over 25% of the regular price of the facial (not the Groupon price I paid). When I handed it to the receptionist she said "that's it?.." which really rubbed me the wrong way. I was not given any follow up treatments or suggestions. I won't be returning to this place solely based on how the receptionist made me feel. Edit: The manager has since called, apologized and offered for me to try them again which I appreciate.

The girl that did my facial was really nice and did a consultation before touching my skin. She mentioned that she didn't have the steam on because it takes 30mins to get it going (not sure what that meant) she used a warm towel instead. I'm not trying to bash them, but usually at other spas, especially at the Woodhouse, they massage shoulders, hand and feet while they are waiting for the mask to do it's thing. The first set of mask I just laid there for about 10mins, I had to actually asked how much longer I had to lay there with the towel. I could do that at home myself, do a mask, put a warm towel and lay in my bed for 10mins. The second time around, she put something that had aloe Vera that felt amazing!!! And then she did a brief shoulders massage. I'm not sure what every establishment does when they just have their customers lay there while the mask is doing its work. But I've seen other customers in other sites rave about the scalp, hand and foot massage they got during their facial. That's what I was expecting, because that's what the Woodhouse does and many other spas I've been too. Is it because I purchased a Groupon and didn't pay a full price??? Is the massage something I should not expected at this spa? Or just certain people have gotten lucky?
