The Mandeville location appeared to have no appointments available on the app, so I called and was able to get one for the upcoming weekend. Since it was my first time at this location, I had no preference in waxer. I was matched with Bryn and she was great. Waxing is never 100% pleasant, but she went above and beyond to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. I looked and felt great after the service, ready for the beach and my upcoming travel. From the phone call to check in/out, the process was a breeze.

I had lots of questions, to which the sales rep gave me the best answers that she could. I chose not to argue with her as she was doing what she was trained to do, but I am very aware tips are not taxable and that that's a scam that they're pulling on their customers .

Me and my fiancee did the couples massage and it was well worth it. After the massage was over we did not feel rushed to leave. We took our time to gather our things and relax after the experience. There were also showers available for those who wanted to. We were given complimentary soap after the experience as well.

Michael is thoroughly educated and it is obvious that he loves his work and takes great pride in it. He is caring, professional, thorough and has taught me something new each time I've been to see him. So far I've had multiple waxes done, including a Brazilian wax which was done better than any other I've had. I've had my eyelashes dyed and the experience was amazing. My boyfriend couldn't figure out what was different but kept complimenting me lol. If you don't like to wear makeup like me then this is the perfect supplemental beauty trick. I've bought essential oils and skincare products from him and his recommendations were spot on. No one has ever been able to deal with my super sensitive skin and know just the right products for it except Michael. Overall the atmosphere, professionalism and perfect results I get from Avalon have kept me coming back for more. 5 stars without a doubt. Thanks Michael! See you soon! :)

Michael is so knowledgeable about the biology of anatomy in general and skin specifically. *Then* I found out he's a self-confessed "brow snob" so I let him start doing my brows and I seriously GET COMPLIMENTS on them now. THEN, in a fit of back spasms, I called him for a massage and...I don't even know how to explain how different his massage is from all the others I've had. So often you can practically choreograph how a massage is going to go because they all learned the same and they all do it the same. Not Michael. Again, with his knowledge level. He is so in-tune with what your body needs and he really delivers that. I am so glad to have found him!
