I explained clearly that I had old color, new growth with some gray, and naturally dark hair that tends to lift brassy. Instead of blending, bleach was applied in solid lines and processed all the same. The result was completely uneven--white where I had gray, orange/brassy where I had old color, and yellow/gold at the regrowth. There was no transition or blending at all, just obvious streaks. I was told it was toned, but there was no visible improvement. It's now been two months, and after spending hundreds of dollars at another salon, I am still trying to correct the damage from this service. I would not trust this salon for any kind of color work.

I have never been so disappointed with treatment, i did not even know it was possible to be so disregarded and mistreated. My first intake was with Melanie and at first I seemed really happy with my consultation, even if it was not very thorough. I felt like she was adiment about getting me treatment and fixing me! thank god! finally!! I was wrong. A month later and I am still waiting on a PA for medicine to be covered by insurance because i cannot pay for the 700$ ones they kept prescribing. I even went as far as to email medicines that i KNEW my insurance covered. Still with no prevail or a PA from Melanie, I decided to reschedule with Tabor to see if he could help me. Finally after a month and a half, Thanks to Tabor, I am able to get antibiotics to help but still not topical gel or anything to help my acne from the outside. The ladies at the front gave me another sample: ONLY TO FIND OUT THIS COUNTED AS MY PRESCRIPTION. (the sample was the size of my pinky toe). With still no treatment or really any idea of what is going on I continued to call to see if there was anything I could do or what I was waiting on, because i was unfamiliar with the process. Madison and Mallory were extremely helpful and kind. 2 months later, my follow up appointment is SUPPOSED TO BE TODAY!!! But then i got a termination letter in the mail-still no treatment that is not 700$+ and both providers at Northshore Derm are refusing to treat me and did not provide an alternate list of providers or anything. I understand their perspective, as they are just an office that is complying with their providers, but I truly think it is patient abandonment and a form of malpractice. I have a worsening condition and was pleading and begging for help. Only to be turned away. Just wait the month or two waiting time for Hilton, or any other office- you will most likely have to wait regardless, so I would at least recommend waiting on a provider that will actually treat and be professional with their patients! I have never felt so abandoned or mistreated.

She didn't make small talk during the facial which I was ok with but I have no clue what she was doing or putting on my face which since it was my first time, I would have liked to know what was happening/going on my face. Still an enjoyable experience. The receptionist (blonde with glasses) however was the down fall. When I got there, the two ladies behind the counter seemed bored and were playing on their phones. When I gave my paperwork, she kept her back to me and said "all done? Ok, just a minute" because she was too busy scrolling through Facebook to turn and talk to me then took a few minutes to actually help me. After my appointment, I came out and she said "you're all done unless you want to leave a tip." Which of course I planned to do, I left a little over 25% of the regular price of the facial (not the Groupon price I paid). When I handed it to the receptionist she said "that's it?.." which really rubbed me the wrong way. I was not given any follow up treatments or suggestions. I won't be returning to this place solely based on how the receptionist made me feel. Edit: The manager has since called, apologized and offered for me to try them again which I appreciate.

She mentioned that she didn't have the steam on because it takes 30mins to get it going (not sure what that meant) she used a warm towel instead. I'm not trying to bash them, but usually at other spas, especially at the Woodhouse, they massage shoulders, hand and feet while they are waiting for the mask to do it's thing. The first set of mask I just laid there for about 10mins, I had to actually asked how much longer I had to lay there with the towel. I could do that at home myself, do a mask, put a warm towel and lay in my bed for 10mins. The second time around, she put something that had aloe Vera that felt amazing!!! And then she did a brief shoulders massage. I'm not sure what every establishment does when they just have their customers lay there while the mask is doing its work. But I've seen other customers in other sites rave about the scalp, hand and foot massage they got during their facial. That's what I was expecting, because that's what the Woodhouse does and many other spas I've been too. Is it because I purchased a Groupon and didn't pay a full price??? Is the massage something I should not expected at this spa? Or just certain people have gotten lucky?
