My first intake was with Melanie and at first I seemed really happy with my consultation, even if it was not very thorough. I felt like she was adiment about getting me treatment and fixing me! thank god! finally!! I was wrong. A month later and I am still waiting on a PA for medicine to be covered by insurance because i cannot pay for the 700$ ones they kept prescribing. I even went as far as to email medicines that i KNEW my insurance covered. Still with no prevail or a PA from Melanie, I decided to reschedule with Tabor to see if he could help me. Finally after a month and a half, Thanks to Tabor, I am able to get antibiotics to help but still not topical gel or anything to help my acne from the outside. The ladies at the front gave me another sample: ONLY TO FIND OUT THIS COUNTED AS MY PRESCRIPTION. (the sample was the size of my pinky toe). With still no treatment or really any idea of what is going on I continued to call to see if there was anything I could do or what I was waiting on, because i was unfamiliar with the process. Madison and Mallory were extremely helpful and kind. 2 months later, my follow up appointment is SUPPOSED TO BE TODAY!!! But then i got a termination letter in the mail-still no treatment that is not 700$+ and both providers at Northshore Derm are refusing to treat me and did not provide an alternate list of providers or anything. I understand their perspective, as they are just an office that is complying with their providers, but I truly think it is patient abandonment and a form of malpractice. I have a worsening condition and was pleading and begging for help. Only to be turned away. Just wait the month or two waiting time for Hilton, or any other office- you will most likely have to wait regardless, so I would at least recommend waiting on a provider that will actually treat and be professional with their patients! I have never felt so abandoned or mistreated.

They offer services such as massages, facials, laser hair removal/skin treatments, Botox/Dysport, fillers, Cool Sculpting, etc. Although the Clearview location is inside the hospital complex, the vibes here are very spa-like and not at all clinical. It feels luxurious and elegant. I've had a few treatments with their BBL laser hair removal here. I can't speak for the effectiveness because I did not continue with the treatments (you really need A LOT of treatments to permanently get rid of your hair in the pubic region of your body because the hairs there tend to be stubborn. You can get rid of a good amount with about 5-6 treatments for your underarms though). However, I can say that the laser here does not hurt all (given your settings are adjusted accurately). I highly recommend asking for Betsy to be your laser technician. She's FANTASTIC! She accurately assesses the right settings for you after considering a variety of factors, and she's just a pleasant person from whom to receive care overall! Compared to other laser treatments I've had, the BBL Laser here doesn't hurt, produce skin redness, nor leave you with that "sunburned" feeling where you get treated. Keep in mind though, experiences with lasers are different for everyone and this was just my experience. I also get injected here a few times per year. The regular price per unit is $14 for Botox and $6 for Dysport, which is a bit pricier than other places, but they often have promotions where the prices drop (once a season maybe? Perhaps even more frequently?) and it becomes a better deal than even the cheaper places around. Plus, the injections are performed by actual doctors and not by estheticians. I recommend signing up for their emails to get notified about their specials. I also really like their facial skin analysis instrument, called the Visia. This is a complimentary service, and it takes a very detailed photo of your face and it analyzes your skin for you. You can take a baseline photo and compare it to another photo you take after your treatments. Your skin condition is compared to other people of similar demographics/age as you. It can assess sun damage and more too. It's a very cool instrument, and you should take advantage of the technology! BONUS: you get a discount on almost everything if you're an Ochsner employee as well!

I explained clearly that I had old color, new growth with some gray, and naturally dark hair that tends to lift brassy. Instead of blending, bleach was applied in solid lines and processed all the same. The result was completely uneven--white where I had gray, orange/brassy where I had old color, and yellow/gold at the regrowth. There was no transition or blending at all, just obvious streaks. I was told it was toned, but there was no visible improvement. It's now been two months, and after spending hundreds of dollars at another salon, I am still trying to correct the damage from this service. I would not trust this salon for any kind of color work.
