I went in asking for a blended color and left with harsh, multi-colored stripes. Because I was facing away from the mirror, I couldn't see what was being done to the back and sides. I explained clearly that I had old color, new growth with some gray, and naturally dark hair that tends to lift brassy. Instead of blending, bleach was applied in solid lines and processed all the same. The result was completely uneven--white where I had gray, orange/brassy where I had old color, and yellow/gold at the regrowth. There was no transition or blending at all, just obvious streaks. I was told it was toned, but there was no visible improvement. It's now been two months, and after spending hundreds of dollars at another salon, I am still trying to correct the damage from this service. I asked to have 2" trimmed, side bangs trimmed, and to give me a little more movement. I often wear my hair up in a ponytail and I like it to be thicker at the top and taper to a V. I loathe when the bottom is blunt and I let my stylist know that. She took 5" off the length, my side bangs are uneven as if I tried to trim them myself and my ponytail is the definition of blunt. Aside from the bangs, this may be a haircut that someone wanted but not me. I paid more than $100 (due to her being one of the top stylists there) to get exactly what I didn't want. I get my hair cut twice per year. It's a luxury for me due to lack of time. I have very long and thick hair. My split ends are minimal so it's not as if I came in with a disaster of hair, though a bit tangled....but I did leave with it. I'm so upset. I need to get it fixed and I'm sure I can call and let them know my disappointment but then I'm left with having to decide if I just let it be or possibly get it fixed and it being even worse. It's going to take me 2 years to grow it out and start over. Aside from that, the salon is clean and the staff are friendly. I want to make note that this was my 3rd time getting my haircut here and the first 2 times were fine (one time being with the same person that cut my hair this time), so maybe she was having an off day?.. read more

I went a few times and refuse to go there now because of one main reason: I was ALWAYS pestered/bombarded/pressured to make an appointment 3 months later while sitting in the chair having my hair done. I consider the salon to be a peaceful place, and not one where I have to feel pressured into coming back by a staff member holding an ipad close by, politely making me make an appointment. Also, I really don't want to make a reservation that I will likely end up canceling because, I have no idea what I will be doing in 3 months. I even told the staff woman/receptionist that I did not like participating in this, and the woman brushed it off by saying how I could just cancel it if need be. Why could I just NOT make one in the 1st place! I get it, they want to optimize the chance of having me come back on a consistent basis, but I didn't want to make an appointment. It always made me feel a little awkward, but they just seemed to see it as part of the salon experience. Rinse, cut, blow-dry, schedule another appointment, and style. They gave me no choice. Even when I didn't really corporate with a possible day, they would just pick one for me so I could be "reminded" later on in 3 months to come in. I didn't want to be reminded! It is really a disappointment because, besides these 2 issues I really enjoyed the salon. The staff is super friendly. I enjoyed the neck/scalp massage. Loved all the Aveda products. And most importantly, I always had a great trim done to my long hair. read more

I'd give them 6 stars if I could. I came here on the recommendation of a coworker after talking about how I wanted to go from brunette (with the remnants of a tragic box dye job to boot) to red. Sooooo glad I did. My hair was a MESS before. I can't get over how amazing it is now. It's healthier and I love my hair again. Everyone who works there is nothing but nice and helpful, and you can tell they genuinely care about each other and each of their clients. Noelani is a magician, and I hate that I have to leave because she seriously worked some magic. The salon itself is really relaxed, it's clean and I'm going to miss it when I move. I had my haircut here, and it was veryyy nice! The staff is very friendly and the studio is beautiful!! I wanted my hair cut short and my stylist, Kayli, did a fantastic job! She was very kind and really took her time(not too long because she had a lot of appointments) but long enough where I could tell she was very focus on my hair cut. My sister recommended me to come, and I am very happy that I did! I will stated though, my color was done by a person named Shira Tran located in Metairie if you are interested about my color haha. This place is the best hair salon I've ever been too! Everyone there is so nice and the place is just peaceful. A week before I came here I went and got my hair cut from another place the other place completely messed up my hair and I had no hope for my hair walking into Bella Style Salon. I honestly thought I'd have to cut all my hair off but Lauren saved my hair. She cleaned it up and made it look outstanding. Lauren is a great hair stylist and I will recommend her to any one I know. If you come here make sure you bring some cash. Although you can pay with card you can't tip with it. I wish I had cash to leave some gratitude because these ladies were just amazing. Loved the salon, and went there for years. But once I was 12 minutes late (I was very busy and misread the time) and they said they could not do my processes. I only get a color and cut and it was 5:27pm. I was the last customer and they closed at 7. I was bewildered as the stylist and lady who greets customers stared at me, as an hour and a half seemed plenty of time. I felt I was treated rudely and felt that for the price I pay (it is an expensive salon) plus tip, they should have been more accommodating. I have not been back. It is a good salon, but pricey and you are pressured to schedule appointments or to buy products. Don't be late! read more

I got married this past Saturday and had an appointment with Bella Style Salon for hair and makeup along with my maid of honor. Our hair was fantastic thanks to Noelani, but our makeup was very much less. I was extremely disappointed with our service from the girl doing our makeup. I believe her name was Megan, but I could be wrong. She barely spoke to us the entire 3 hours that we were there. It was an uncomfortable atmosphere nevertheless. This isn't the only mishap. My makeup was nothing like I had asked for and neither was my maid of honors. I had to re do my own makeup before the wedding took place which just added to my stress. But luckily I was able to because my makeup had mostly already worn off by the time I got to the venue. A waste of money and time. I will not be using their makeup services anymore after this experience. I just wanted to feel like a beautiful, radiant bride but I looked like I had just ran 10 miles and sweat all of my makeup off. read more

I made an appointment based on a referral from a girl I work with, I'm new to the area. Lauren greeted me and all the ladies were exceptionally nice. They consulted with me and together on my hair. I wanted an allover color with highlights to cover my gray. I've been coloring for years. It looked nice when I left, it was slightly dim in the room and the color seemed darker but it was nice, I paid $183 plus tip for a total of $205. I wash it the next day and HOLY HELL....I end up with a double fist full of hair. My hair is like corn silk now. It looks like it is fried. I have naturally wavy curly hair, it is now so limp and frizzy on the ends it just breaks off every time I put a wide tooth comb through it. I didn't think about them rising my hair in very warm water until I left and reflected it was odd, normally after each color it is rinsed in barely warm if not cool water .I'm not saying that was the cause, but also I wanted red hair with blond highlights.....I am now a brunette with white highlights. I'm trying to let my hair grow out , so I got just barely a trim. All I can do is CRY. Its that bad. read more

They have great service, give you VIP attention, they are not all on their cell phones, they ask me every time what I want and don't just assume it is the same thing (although it always is, because they do it so well!).
