Called to ask a few questions about their services. The lady on the phone was super helpful, so I scheduled an appointment to get two moles checked out. Went in early to fill out paperwork, spoke to the doctor, the nurse prepped me with some numbing injection around the mole. Doctor came in a few minutes later, spoke me through the procedure, made me feel relaxed and very comfortable, and in 5 minutes the procedure was over. They bill your insurance company and call you with the results in 7-10 business days. They were very professional as well as going the extra mile to make you feel comfortable about your procedure. Answered all my questions, the facility was very clean, looked brand new, and very relaxing. Didn't seen like a doctors office at all. Felt more like an upscale spa! Would def. If I could give this place a negative 5 I would. The doctor was only in the room for a half a second when he told me a lesion I had on my side was just a staph infection. Come to find out it is something a little more than that. He just didn't care. Now let's get to the best part when I was going to leave I had forgotten my wallet at home and there was a $20 copay. These women at the desk honestly tried to tell me I was not free to leave and that I was going to have to stay there until someone could come up there and bring them money. I laughed. I said you try to stop me from leaving they didn't and I left. I was going to bring them their money back but after thinking about the whole situation screw them and their money. Worst experience EVER! Not being dramatic, I actually would not recommend this office to my worst enemy. I have never been so disappointed with treatment, i did not even know it was possible to be so disregarded and mistreated. My first intake was with Melanie and at first I seemed really happy with my consultation, even if it was not very thorough. I felt like she was adiment about getting me treatment and fixing me! thank god! finally!! I was wrong. A month later and I am still waiting on a PA for medicine to be covered by insurance because i cannot pay for the 700$ ones they kept prescribing. I even went as far as to email medicines that i KNEW my insurance covered. Still with no prevail or a PA from Melanie, I decided to reschedule with Tabor to see if he could help me. Finally after a month and a half, Thanks to Tabor, I am able to get antibiotics to help but still not topical gel or anything to help my acne from the outside. The ladies at the front gave me another sample: ONLY TO FIND OUT THIS COUNTED AS MY PRESCRIPTION. (the sample was the size of my pinky toe). With still no treatment or really any idea of what is going on I continued to call to see if there was anything I could do or what I was waiting on, because i was unfamiliar with the process. Madison and Mallory were extremely helpful and kind. 2 months later, my follow up appointment is SUPPOSED TO BE TODAY!!! But then i got a termination letter in the mail-still no treatment that is not 700$+ and both providers at Northshore Derm are refusing to treat me and did not provide an alternate list of providers or anything. I understand their perspective, as they are just an office that is complying with their providers, but I truly think it is patient abandonment and a form of malpractice. I have a worsening condition and was pleading and begging for help. Only to be turned away. Just wait the month or two waiting time for Hilton, or any other office- you will most likely have to wait regardless, so I would at least recommend waiting on a provider that will actually treat and be professional with their patients! I had my first ever cleansing facial from the aesthetician, Miss Devonna. The entire experience was very professional as well as comfortable. She explained each of the procedures she was doing, and at the end gave me a bag of morning and evening cleansing cream. I would recommend her to anyone considering having this procedure read more

My kids & I have been going to Northshore Dermatology for years in Madisonville. I referred my mom there & she sees Dr. Pate in Slidell. She had 3rd stage melanoma years ago. We both get full body skin checks & moles removed. My son had an ingrown toenail removed. I have been going to doctor tabor for 7 years for Fillers and Botox. We started out slow with facial improvements and gradually reached our goal. I continue to go to Dr Tabor and am very pleased. As with all fillers, caution is best. I am very pleased with my results and when a correction is necessary, he listens carefully and will work to understanding ur needs. Provider (D Pate) was good however their billing practices are definitely suspect....... I was told that they were in Network with Multiplan but they charged me the full amount because evidently multiplan has different offshoots or something and Pate was not listed......even though my insurance adjudicated the claim as "Above Reasonable & Customary" at only $67.59, Northshore Dermatology still sent me a bill for the FULL Charges of $202.00 stating that the claim was non-covered - that is incorrect but the staff there would not do anything differently and told me that the bill stands. I will never go back to that place. double and triple check your insurance plan coverage with them and your carrier before you there! Very disappointed in the staff there.. read more

ok. so, I have been to Northshore Dermatology over the past 5 years or so. intermittently because other places had specials or lower prices. I have not done any cosmetic injectable in 2 years. I returned to Dr Tabor and I am now 100% loyal to him. I returned a few days later bc there was something I felt was not addressed.. he was so kind and took time to make sure I was happy. he is well known as the best clinician but his personality is just so caring. read more

Do not go here to get your lips filled !!! I have been getting my lips done with juvederm for a while because my top lip is practically nonexistent. And I do have to say I'm sooooo disappointed in this place ! The staff was super nice and that's the only reason I'm leaving 2 Stars. My lips are terrible! The dr wasn't very attentive to what I wanted or how my lips where naturally shaped , because of that they are very lop sided . When I said something he said it was the anatomy of my body, well isn't that why I'm getting strategically placed Filler ? It plumped up more of the area above my lip instead of increasing my actual lip size . If I had wrinkles I was trying to correct this wouldn't be a problem but that was not my concern when going in. The worst thing is the 2 pokes he put in my bottom lip (that I didn't even want, because my bottom lip is big enough) look ridiculous !! I have a blister looking thing on the inside of my lip that has been there since the day I got the injections on one side , and on the other I have a huge lump right below my lip . I thought it was weird from the second he poked me because most drs will do multiple pokes around the lip to fill , and he only did one poke on each side of my top lip (and the 2 little pokes on the bottom) and just kinda brought the needle all around the lip . I paid $125 less at the place I use to go to at home in California , to pay $600 for such a terrible job at this place is sad . I definitely won't be returning . I will however add that I wouldn't doubt that they might be good at other things , like I said the staff is nice and the dr was nice as well. I'm usually not the type of person to write a review in less I've had a terrible experience but not today. I had an apt. with Dr. Tabor for some moles that I had as a child that got darker as I got older. He informed me that they looked abnormal and suggested they be sent off for testing. It was a very quick and mostly pain free experience.The nurse was very friendly and helped ease my fear. I also had some questions about wrinkles and overall skin care. He was very upfront and didn't suggest all kinds of procedures and products, just want I needed. I didn't feel pressured to buy or get anything today. I was given some brochures and prices. I will absolutely come back to Northshore Dermatology and recommend friends and family as well. read more

I definitely get the feeling they make their money from cosmetic procedures, and they could care less about actual medical issues. I went there with a terrible total-body rash, and after weeks of them trying out different expensive lotions that did nothing, they finally admitted they didn't know what was causing the rash and referred me to an allergist in Mandeville. The allergist grimaced when I told her where I'd been seen previously, she'd seen them give others horrible treatments because they simply don't have a strong medical basis. The waiting room is nothing but adds for expensive cosmetic procedures; that's all they really want to do. Even the tiny biopsy they took on my shoulder has turned into a fairly large bump/scar! You'd think they would at least know how to not leave scars with a small needle incision. read more

I love Northshore Dermatology! The last time I had to go in was for an Excision on my back. The staff there are so friendly and have so much patience even with their more difficult patients. :) me included. I was so nervous the night before that I couldn't sleep. When I got their they were super busy but once I got into the room they treated me like I was the only one there. They took all the time I needed to make me comfortable and answer all my questions. After the procedure, which went very well, I had other questions so I called and left a message on the nurses voicemail. They got back to me the same day! I love the staff, and the offices are beautifully decorated. My mom see's Dr. Tabor for her botox injections and she always looks fabulous. He is a very honest provider. My mom wanted lip enhancement injections and he told her he wouldn't recommend it because most of her facial features are small and it wouldn't match her other features. I thought that was so amazing because most people would say yes whatever you want to do just to make money but he was honest. I would recommend Northshore Dermatology for both medical and cosmetics.
