Every time we're in the area we can't wait to stop in to have a tasty meal, a few drinks and watch a variety of sports on dozens of screens. Big stage inside and live bands on weekends. (Don't know how often...but this is what I was told) Had fun Halloween decor which is always a fun little plus. A ton of this to do here!! Foozball, pool, basketball, video games. HUGE TV to catch the game, in addition to all the other regular TVs in the place. Super friendly and sweet bartender! I continued my "Quest for the Best Dos Equis" here. They had Dos Equis on draft but it wasn't super cold..although you wouldn't know that considering how many I drank. They have tajin. HUGE PLUS!! We had reserved a high-top table, but there was no table service, so we had to stand in line at the bar to order our drinks. We later returned to the bar to order food, then waited over an hour and a half for it to arrive. Our order consisted of only five meatballs with sauce and one breadstick, despite the menu listing breadsticks. That wait was completely unreasonable, especially for such a simple bar-food order. The bathroom also had no paper towels in the dispenser. Jack's Tavern clearly needs more staff. We understand that a busy Saturday night with a live band can be challenging, but the service and wait times were unacceptable. Unfortunately, this experience was enough for us to decide that we will not be returning.

You never know what kind of night it will be here as the live entertainment on the patio varies daily. They've got Open Mic night on Mondays, you might get comedy or awesome local musicians on the stage. As for the weekend sometimes there'll be solo country acts, sometimes more alternative acts, sometimes full bands, and they've got a pretty good set of DJ's that play Weds & Thurs weekly! Definitely a party vibe always. Inside there are 4 pool tables of which are the best you'll find on Fry. On Sundays and Tuesdays they have 8-Ball and 9-Ball tournaments wherein you can come try your luck against some steep billiards competition. The inside and patio sort of keep separate vibes going where the inside is dominated by the jukebox and the outside is up to the performer. The patio bar is nicely done compared to how it was only a year ago since they remodeled it in March. They have a 100 shot bar that has a bit of everything on it, it's fun to experiment but dangerous to stand at for too much experimentation! Be warned haha! All in all this my go to bar, happy hour has $6 pitchers of Miller Lite, not my favorite but for the price? And the nightly drink specials are usually pretty awesome. Wednesdays get wild as double wells are $1 but it's always a good time! There's a great following here and if you take the time to get to know the staff they're all great guys in their own right, treat them well and they will reciprocate accordingly! The only bad thing I'd say about the place is it can get a bit smokey at times but it's not usually intolerable, no better or worse than Cool Beans or Riprocks. Thumbs up Garage, keep doing what you're doing Fry St. Bar at its best.

We ordered some Fried Pickles, which is ALWAYS a hit, especially with that Jalapeño Ranch dipping sauce... Hot Damn that was good! We also ordered the Potato Skins that were filled with mashed potato (like a twice baked potato) and queso cheese. That too, was a perfect start to our experience. My wife and I shared The Flo aka a Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt, with some house fries. I also had dessert, which was an American Pie Old Fashioned. All of it... all so good. My son ordered The Jaky, which was a pork schnitzel topped with gravy. He also had some Mac n Cheese to go with it. He seemed pretty impressed by it. Overall, great service and an excellent experience. We will definitely be back again! As always, Enjoy & Happy Eating!

LSA Burgers had pretty good reviews on Yelp and a beer and a burger sounded great to my crew. The restaurant is right on the square in downtown Denton. It just so happened to October and Denton goes ALL OUT for Halloween (we had no idea, but it was AWESOME!!!). This place has rooftop bar and seating so we posted-up up there, but not until I took in all the cool music related decor downstairs. Finally, the food. First, the most of the menu items had a Texas Music Twist, which was fun! While I have pics of everyone's food, I cannot comment on the names (I don't remember) and I didn't eat them, so not comments on those other than they were very happy with their selections. For me, I got the Stevie burger (Stevie Ray Vaughn namesake) and it was absolutely delicious. The burger had bacon, blue cheese, and a buffalo (wing) sauce and it was SO YUMMY! It hit all the right notes, I savored every bite, chewing slowly. The bun was absolutely incredible and "made" the burger! Soft and pillowy, yet had a subtle crisp so it held up well, even with the buffalo sauce could have made it soggy. After we ate, we did a round of shots of tequila in time for their "sunset toast"- which was a fun little community activity to share with all of the patrons on the roof. Just a fun vibe!!! We left and explored all of the Halloween coolness on the downtown square with happy, full bellies! Great food, great friends, great spot!!!
