This is just an update to keep thing fresh in traveler's minds. I first wrote the following review back in August 2023. No one from their corporate offices has ever reached out to me. I just want to keep this review current and hopefully save some people the aggravation of spending their hard earned money at a substandard establishment like this. First, I ordered food online from this location. I was given a 45 minute wait time for my food. I arrived at the store an hour and a half later to get my food. I was told that it was not ready yet. I asked how long because I had my dog in the car who has separation anxiety. No time frame was given to me. I asked to speak with a manager. I was directed to a person who identified himself as 'Charles'. I explained my situation to him and his reply was; We're short handed and busy so there's nothing I can do about it. After being told that, I requested a refund. I was told to call the number on the digital receipt. I told him that I tried to do that and it was the store number and no one was answering. He just shrugged. I then asked for the corporate number and he proceeded to point it out in the front while yelling at me loudly that I could do whatever I wanted. I went back out to my car and tried to call the number repeatedly to no avail. I then went back into the store. I saw a bag of food unattended. I went over to look and it had my name on it. I looked inside and there was stuff missing and the order itself wasn't correct I finally sent an email to the customer service listed. Someone reached out to me but only to take the complaint. I was told that someone would reach out to me within a few days. (This was a few months back). I held the food in my refrigerator for about a month before tossing it. I travel a lot so, now I'm back and just passed it up today and realized that I needed to follow up. Well, here it goes. I called up the store today to get the corporate number. The girl who answered placed me on hold. The next person on the phone was Charles. I asked for the corporate number and he give me this number; (804) 420-5060. I repeated the number back to him and he confirmed. I also asked who the GM of the store was. I was given the name of 'Larell'. Ok so, I called the above number that 'Charles' gave me. Someone that sounded like he just woke up answered. I asked him his name and he replied 'John'. I asked if this was Hooter's corporate and he said yes. I then informed him that it didn't sound like a corporate greeting when he answered the phone. Next thing that happens is a dial tone. (He hung up on me). I tried calling back the number several times and goes straight to a generic voicemail. Is everyone following me so far? Now I try and google the owner of this site. I get a corporate number and when I try and call it gives me several options. I choose the option for customer service. Then it starts giving me more options except, this time they are for employees. I wait on the line anyway and I finally get someone on the phone. She identifies herself as 'Jennifer'. I explain the situation to her and tell her that I need to speak with someone in customer service. She tells me that there is no number for customer service (????????????????????????????????????REALLY). So there's my refrain. Don't waste your money on this place. I spent over $45 and got nothing but grief. I have GM experience and DM experience. I have never seen a store with a greatly recognized brand so poorly run. I'm not afraid to give my information out: Eugene Lopez 972-757-3337 read more

Easily the worst Hooters that I have ever been in. It took me 20 minutes to order and then when I got the wings not only did they get the wrong amount, but I have seen quail wings that were larger than these tiny ones. I asked for the manager and he didn't apologize, but made excuses that it was their supplier and the GM wouldn't change and every other excuse in the book. I left and didn't eat there. read more

My husband ordered food online last night, and I will never go back to this location again. I went to pick it up 30 minutes after ordering, and the order wasn't ready. Apparently, they thought 7:15 on a Monday was a good time to change oil in the fryer. Told order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. 3 different employees asked what the name on the order was! While I waited, I could see that the cleanliness of the restaurant is lacking. Received my food 30 minutes later. When I got home, the onion rings were not the large ones they used to have they are thin rings now. The photo on the website still shows nice fat onion rings. Spent $60 for 2 people and disappointed. Also, there are some undesirable people hanging outside. One man asked me if he could have some. I was alone at night and felt unsafe here. read more

The food was amazing the service was long but it always like that but overall everything was good and the girl are really pretty

Ordered and was told it would be ready at 4:42. Asked for a refund multiple times because i didn't want to wait. Kept saying manager was coming. Never came till food was brought out. Didn't want the food or trust it. He said he was putting the refund through, i highly doubt he did. Unkept place and rude workers. I'll never be back. read more

Arrived on a Friday night to a 1/3 full restaurant with plenty of staff, placed an appetizer/drink order...and began to wonder if my server might have died, nope, just busy flirting w/the dude at the front counter. Despite being seated in a high traffic area, not a single employee would walk by...reduced to "I'm drowning" arm gestures I cannot draw the attention of any employee to take my order or bring me the drinks I ordered! After a bit, miraculously the waitress appears with ALMOST all the drinks, then the appetizer, then a bit later, the last drink...awesome timing! Once the appetizer and drinks were exhausted I faced the near impossible task of attracting the attention of ANY worker in the place...I began to give up hope that I may never see my order (or another human) that is when the food shows up, no silverware, no napkins, no drink refills, just food hastily dropped off before running away to me yelling "ma'am, ma'am!" to no avail. Good news is that the food was great, bad news is that the remaining service was absolute garbage and our waitress was blissfully unaware she might be the worst waitress on earth!! I only wish I could have left a negative tip...this is why restaurants go out of business!! Get ur act together Hooters read more

I came here to hang out with friends for Valentine's Day and we understood that it would be pretty busy. When we came in we waited 20 mins to be seated, although there were booths and tables available. The waitress took another 10 minutes to take our drink order. When the waitress finally sauntered back to our table with our lukewarm sweet teas, she took our order. We waited and watched the Winter Olympics. ONE HOUR AND 12 minutes later, our food came to the table. We quickly ate our food and took another 35 minutes to get our check to pay. This was an experience that I don't want to experience any time soon. read more

Wow, I am so disappointed with the service, food quality, and cleanliness of this restaurant. First issue was the bathroom and floors. Walking to the bathroom was a struggle because the floors were so slippery and nasty. It reminded me of walking in the kitchen at a restaurant it was definitely not safe! Oh and the bathrooms were disgusting. (I've attached pictures) Moving on to the food. We ordered 15 wings, an order of nachos, and two kids meals. First problem was the food took over an hour to come out. When the food did arrive we got the two kids meals and the wings but no nachos. Our waitress informed us that she had rang them in but the kitchen didn't see them on the bill so they would be right out they were making them which is fine I understand things happen but The wings we received did not even have the right sauce on them and the kids meals fries were cold. We didn't even complain about the fries but we did say something about the sauce on the wings because it clearly wasn't our order. She took the wings and got us new ones which was nice But I'm assuming they just took those wings that they made put them back in the fryer and then took them out and sauced them with the correct sauce. They were super dry. We waited another 30 minutes and never received the nachos so I just got up and found our waitress and asked for the bill at that point. I'm so disappointed because I used to love coming here and now I don't think I'll ever be back. We left still hungry and stopped for fast food. read more

We came by at 9:45 pm on Friday and stood at the reception area for 5 mins and did not receive an acknowledgment or a chance to be seated. We had two groups behind us as well. We visited the Hooters in Chester on West Hundred Rd tonight 3/12, we sat down about 7:25, we sat for several minutes before anyone approached our table to take our drink order. our food order was taken at 7:45 and thirty min later we were still waiting on boneless wings As we sat with empty drink cups while our waitress sat at a bar top table next to us on her laptop talking to 2 guys.... she walked past us several times and never asked if we needed anything so we got up and left. read more

My husband and I were in Chester Va for a family reunion, our hotel was down the street from Hooters so we decided to get some wings. We waited 30 minutes b4 someone came to seat us. The restaurant was not busy at all. Our wings were raw inside. Our waitress called the manager over. He was very nice. He apologized and took the bill from us. We had been there so long, even before they brought our wings out, by this time, we were just ready to go back to the hotel. He told us the cook was new and he was learning, but I already hit figure that much. We told him it was no problem we understood and maybe we'll try again another time. The service was really bad as far as how long we waited. The workers were very nice. The manager was very nice. I think once they get people to work and stay on the job long enough to learn the job things will be better. I've been to Hooters before and other places and it was really good so I think this was because the cook had only been there one or two days. read more

I had read the reviews (both good and bad) on this location and decided to give it a try. I am VERY glad I did. I had an adorable young lady named Alexis wait on me. Very attentive. Very smart. Checked on me on a regular basis. Very impressed with her. The food was very good. I had the fried pickles and buffalo chicken sandwich. Well prepared and NOT greasy. Two of the Hooters in Charlotte, NC have really gotten bad with their very greasy good. This was definitely NOT the case at this location. I called over the manager to brag on Alexis and how hard she and the other girls were working. She told me they have been working hard to turn around this location and improve it. It definitely shows!!!! So, please give this location a try as it appears it is much improved over what some of the older reviews have pointed out. read more

After ordering our food and sitting down for at least 30 min we were then told it would take longer then usual because the grease was old and needed to be changed. Ordered a salad and that never came out either. Waitress was okay in the middle of talking to us she received a phone call went out outside with other coworkers and didn't come back for 15 min. This is the review my wife wrote. However, my whole family was there: my wife, kids, and myself: I would like to share my concerns about this location. When we arrived, we noticed that this location was not busy for it being Memorial Day weekend. My daughter and I went to the bathroom. The regular stall was filthy dirty and there was toilet paper all over the floor. So, we had to use the handicap stall, which had toilet paper on the floor but it was cleaner than the regular stall. In addition, there was no toilet paper in either stall. We had to use paper towels to wipe ourselves. My son went to the men's bathroom. There was no soap in the dispenser and no paper towels in the bathroom. So, when we got out, we alerted the staff to these issues and nothing was done. My son went back to the bathroom several times and informed us that there were no soap and paper towels still in the men's restroom. Our waitress seemed friendly until I asked to taste the Daytona Beach sauce. She then developed an attitude like she didn't want to bring out a sample of the sauce stating that, "It's really hot!" I just wanted to ensure that the sauce was the same sauce we had at a different Hooters location. We made our order and when the food arrived, we ran into several issues. My Daytona Beach wings were burnt to the point where a majority of them were black as coal on one side. I asked the waitress that was assisting, our waitress, "Would you eat this?" I showed her the wings, and her response was, "No!" So, I asked for them to be re-made. At this pointed, our curly fries came to the table. They were barely warm like they were sitting in the window waiting for our wings to be cooked. At this point, we asked to speak to a manager. It took the manager almost 10 minutes to come to our table. She offered an apology and to take my wings and the curly fries off our bill. She had them remake the curly fries. When the wings came back to the table they were a little burnt but I wasn't going to send them back again. Our curly fries was hot this time. However, when my husband was eating his General Tso wings, the meat was dry and overcooked. We had no more issues until our check came to the table. We had ordered 20 Daytona Beach wings but was charged for 35. When we asked about it, our waitress said she had to put in each individual wings into the P.O.S system. We understood that, but we were still being overcharged even though we already ran into issues with our service thus far. The response from the waitress was that the manager just removed the charge from the bill because "We are about to close!" We didn't mind the extra upcharge for the Daytona wings, but we weren't going to pay for extra wings we didn't order and/or that was taken off our bill. We don't go to Hooters every week but we do like your wings. We feel this location needs training at all levels. They are definitely lacking something at this location. I had a taste for wings that night and chose your establishment. My husband and I came home that night very unsatisfied even after spending over $70. What will you do to remedy this? read more

Saw the low reviews, but we had a great experience. Food (wings of course!) was good, beer was cold and our waitress was fantastic!

We had a wonderful dinner thanks to her and the cooks. Did everything in a great time frame. read more

First time to this Hooters in Chester, VA. Holli the host had a great smile, was friendly and had a bubbly personality. This location is a newer corporate design that concentrates more on TV'S (from my seat I could count 25), then the old style of pictures of Hooters girls and signs adorning the walls. (My favorite sign was "We even carded George Burns!) All of those are gone. Now they have a newer contemporary style of the few signs that are up. Probably to move in a more social and politically correct direction. (My new favorite sign is "Keep your Friends Close and your Beers Closer!) For dinner, a Club Sandwich with curly fries. Sandwich was great. Bread was lightly toasted to perfection. Ordered meat cold. Overall it was a great item. One of the best clubs sandwiches in the chain! (Contemplated getting on to go to have for breakfast but the bread would become too soggy my morning) For desert, Chocolate Mousse cake. I should have looked this up before I ordered it. I was sure this would come in under the 874 calorie Caramel Fudge Cheesecake. I was wrong. This slice comes in at a whopping 1015 calories. I checked my vitals and provided emergency call back numbers to the staff before digging in. In true fashion I only made it half way through before raising the white flag of surrender! The staff is friendly when they come around. Matt the manager on duty was interested in customer experience. Nice guy. Holli and Crystal were standouts and gets 5 stars. Against all other Hooters that I have been to this one is above average and gets 4 stars. read more

I would give a zero if I could! Worst service I have ever had. After two hours of waiting for our order all we got was the appetizer. I asked Amber to get a update on our food and she never came back. Finally I request the check and a order cancel from another employee and she notified Amber. Amber then comes over to our table and tells us they are plating our food now. I tell her to just bring the check and she disappears for another 15 minutes. Finally when she does come I pay in cash and she shorts me five dollars in change. Absolutely the worst service I have ever had! read more

I like this Hooters. I have been to several all over the southeast. This is one of the better ones. I went with my teenage son. Lunchtime on friday. Girls running around everywhere. They were busy. We waited about a minute to get seated. Girl was cute. Most all of them were. Big Plus. I got the the Philly Cheese Steak. It was good. Came with steak fries. Hot and they had a big groove cut into them for scooping up ketchup. I put alot of ketchup on my fries.Sandwich was steaming hot. Cheese everywhere. Could of used a little more meat. I like the meat overflowing the sides and ends of the bread. But thats just me. My kid got the samurai teriyaki wings. They looked good. I didn't try any. He didn't offer. Ate there Saturday at lunch. The place has not been cleaned in a really long time. Broken glass all over the parking lot. Most disgusting, filthiest restaurant I've ever eaten in. Left Hungry. How do you leave a restaurant still hungry? This place was the slowest I've ever been to. Our appetizer came out last & they packed it to go. That's how fed up we were. Our wings came out first but we waited for about 20-30 mins. Than my side came out 10-15 mins later. Than we waited forever for my appetizer which like I said we took to go. The portions were small & honestly it seemed like the waiter didn't even care to do anything about all of this. We still got charged ... let's not mention that when they did give us the nachos it was WRONG! We asked for chili they gave us chicken! Never again! read more

Now I am a hooters lover!!!! But this has got to be the worst one I have ever been to. I tried to call my order in, but they refused to answer the phone, I decided to go in and order and the lady first told me she had to see if they could because he wait time might be long. I looked around and it was literally 5 other people there and most were at the bar with there food already. She comes back and says ok, she can take my order. I then sit at the bar and wait for my food. Since I was there I figured I would order a drink. The lady stated she couldn't make that drink because she didn't have the materials. Which was a lie and I pointed out that she did ( I could see them all). She then says acts like she didn't see the materials and goes to make the drink. I could then see that she didn't know how to make the drink. Instead of saying she didn't know how she just kept lying.. for what... I would have explained it to her or asked what could she make, and moved on.. she then charged me for a double shot, on a drink that she didn't even make right.. and to put the icing on the top, the place was dirty. It was super dead with many waitresses and they were all on there phone.. no one cleaning... even the cook was in the front, just talking and playing with his phone.. after waiting for a while my food finally came out and I couldn't wait to leave.. one thing good.. they got my order right... read more

Relocating to Richmond Virginia from Chicago and was here for the weekend to look for apartments. Was in the mood for wings, so I stopped at Hooters tonight. I ordered 6 wings and beef sliders, plus a To-Go order of baja shrimp tacos. My server was Madison. Nice girl but not very attentive and didn't really check on me at all during my visit. First issue, my to-go order came before my dine-in order, which means it just sat here the entire time I was eating. Who puts the to-go order in first? Anyway, my order finally comes and the sliders are dry. They forgot my mayo & mustard, which is no biggie but if no one ever checks on you, your food gets cold waiting on condiments. I decided to get up and go find someone and all of a sudden Madison appears and wants to help. She went and got me some condiments for the sliders. My wings and burgers were pretty good but I'm thoroughly irritated tho because my to-go food is gonna be cold and nasty but I don't have the energy to fight the issue. I just won't return to this location anytime soon once I make my final transition to my new home in a few weeks. read more

Alright, this Hooters was the only one I went to because....well, Richmond was too far. If you like: 1. Rednecks. Lots of them. 2. Saggy breasts held up by plenty of underwire and VS padding. 3. Noise. 4. Junk-food style wings. Then this is your place. Honestly, I don't remember why I used to go to Hooters so much when I was in the Army - perhaps it was the 20 year old young blondes with three kids who would flirt incessantly to raise tips. Who knows. But I just know that this last trip reminded me that I outgrew a slice of life that I used to embrace so readily. Not to mention the fact that their food now gives my 30+ year old stomach the runs. read more

03/12/21 We arrived at 10:30 and it took nearly 10 minutes for us to be approached and sat. After that it took 10 minutes before we got service, our server Jaimie, told us that the food would take an hour to come out so we ordered drinks. After 30 minutes some of our members got up and went to the bar to find out where our drinks were. Jaimi eventually came by and told us that the bartender was having a mental breakdown so drinks were taking longer. Some of our food came out an hour later, as the server stated it would and we tried to order more drinks at 11:30 and was told she couldn't put anymore into the computer system. She then started arguing with one of the members of our group and told us that we were being rude, snickering, and that she didn't HAVE to take us. That she had 6 tables before we came in and kept talking about it being slammed when only half the restaurant was filled. We were still waiting on the rest of our food, that now came out in to go boxes, when she told us that we could just leave and didn't have to pay for anything. She said that she was going to get out of there by 12 regardless and that she didn't need our money because she had enough already. When asked if the food had been tampered with, she said "no, not by the kitchen, but if it had been, it would've been by me" then came back around to tell us we had to pay for drinks and it took her another 15-20 minutes to drop off the checks. We never saw a manager and was never apologized to for the service we received. I travel for a living...not that it makes my comments anymore valid than anyone else's I just think it is important that I base my opinions on a wealth of travel and dining experiences. So many people come here to just complain out loud, but would never think of being polite enough to let management know of their issues at the time it happens and giving the establishment the opportunity to make it right with them....remember no one is perfect, mistakes happen. I am in the hospitality business and know what great service looks like and how a positive experience makes me feel. I sat down at the bar to see if I could catch the baseball game in progress. After traveling many hours by car and my work day not quite finished, I was exhausted, I needed a cheerful smile, a friendly conversation, some food & Beverageand let's face it a beautiful woman to make me feel important and appreciated. I was greeted by Jess. Jess was just what the doctor ordered....friendly, personable, a smile so beautiful and radiant it made the lights go dim in the restaurant. the service was fantastic, the Daytona wings were cooked perfect, and the Captain and diets just right. I had to leave to make a confernece call and when I came back to finish watching the game, Jess greeted me with the same level of hospitality all over again. Thank you Jess. Good food, good drinks and atmosphere can only do so much for an experience. Service and attitude is the key difference between one establishment and the other. I will always make it a point to go see Jess when I am traveling through the Richmond, Virgina area. Consumers have choices, and I will always chose to spend my hard earned money in an establishment that embraces the value of employing great people. read more

Stopped in for a quick afternoon snack. There were a few people at the bar, and 3 tables with people at them. 2 girls working, plus 1 at the bar. I waited 3 minutes standing there, before I finally just sat myself. I girl was actually working (getting drinks), the other was sitting with a guy in the back corner. Even though she was facing the door, she was oblivious to me standing there. I only wanted fried pickles and a coke. Guess what, no fried pickles. So, I substitute cheese sticks. I get my coke, and she goes right back to the table with the guy who at this point, I'm thinking he is her boyfriend, pimp, or both. The other girl brought out my order and then joined them at the table. I ate everything without being checked on, until I was finished.
