While at work one day, someone mentioned going to Hooters for lunch. I will say, I have not been to a Hooters in a few years, so the Daytona wings, Smoked wings, bacon wrapped wings, Mile High burgers were all new to me. We were greeted at the door by two very nice young ladies who promptly sat us down near the bar. Next to the table was a support beam with a thermostat on it. I mention this because this particular day was rainy and cold outside and the thermostat was set to 67 degrees. Everyone at our table was cold! At one point the waitress put her hand on my arm because we mentioned how cold it was, this poor girl was COLD! Aside from the temperature, this Hooters location is nice and clean. I ordered three different items from the menu because everything looked so good! I ordered Fried Pickles, Original Naked Wings, and Tots. Not a single complaint about the food. The wings were good even though I forgot to get all flats and have them cooked extra crispy. I will certainly go back, with a jacket. read more

We walked in here at 9pm at half capacity an was told that it would be an HOUR AND A HALF wait. There were numerous open tables and wasn't very busy. The manager came over to me and said we are overrun with a party and couldn't possibly accommodate us. I told him I'll give you our order now-all he had to do was turn around and press three buttons but insisted that it would take an hour to complete that process. I immediately informed him that I could step in as an additional manager and get this place rolling on all cylinders-they need to get a meeting going tomorrow morning to get back on track and devise a plan to deal with more than 40 customers at a time. It took me 20 minutes to order and then when I got the wings not only did they get the wrong amount, but I have seen quail wings that were larger than these tiny ones. When we came in we waited 20 mins to be seated, although there were booths and tables available. The waitress took another 10 minutes to take our drink order. When the waitress finally sauntered back to our table with our lukewarm sweet teas, she took our order. We waited and watched the Winter Olympics. ONE HOUR AND 12 minutes later, our food came to the table. We quickly ate our food and took another 35 minutes to get our check to pay. Wow, I am so disappointed with the service, food quality, and cleanliness of this restaurant. First issue was the bathroom and floors. Walking to the bathroom was a struggle because the floors were so slippery and nasty. It reminded me of walking in the kitchen at a restaurant it was definitely not safe! Oh and the bathrooms were disgusting. (I've attached pictures) Moving on to the food. We ordered 15 wings, an order of nachos, and two kids meals. First problem was the food took over an hour to come out. When the food did arrive we got the two kids meals and the wings but no nachos. Our waitress informed us that she had rang them in but the kitchen didn't see them on the bill so they would be right out they were making them which is fine I understand things happen but The wings we received did not even have the right sauce on them and the kids meals fries were cold. We didn't even complain about the fries but we did say something about the sauce on the wings because it clearly wasn't our order. She took the wings and got us new ones which was nice But I'm assuming they just took those wings that they made put them back in the fryer and then took them out and sauced them with the correct sauce. They were super dry. We waited another 30 minutes and never received the nachos so I just got up and found our waitress and asked for the bill at that point. My husband and I were in Chester Va for a family reunion, our hotel was down the street from Hooters so we decided to get some wings. We waited 30 minutes b4 someone came to seat us. The restaurant was not busy at all. Our wings were raw inside. Our waitress called the manager over. He was very nice. He apologized and took the bill from us. We had been there so long, even before they brought our wings out, by this time, we were just ready to go back to the hotel. He told us the cook was new and he was learning, but I already hit figure that much. We told him it was no problem we understood and maybe we'll try again another time. The service was really bad as far as how long we waited. The workers were very nice. The manager was very nice. I think once they get people to work and stay on the job long enough to learn the job things will be better. I've been to Hooters before and other places and it was really good so I think this was because the cook had only been there one or two days. read more

I had read the reviews (both good and bad) on this location and decided to give it a try. I am VERY glad I did. I had an adorable young lady named Alexis wait on me. Very attentive. Very smart. Checked on me on a regular basis. Very impressed with her. The food was very good. I had the fried pickles and buffalo chicken sandwich. Well prepared and NOT greasy. Two of the Hooters in Charlotte, NC have really gotten bad with their very greasy good. This was definitely NOT the case at this location. I called over the manager to brag on Alexis and how hard she and the other girls were working. She told me they have been working hard to turn around this location and improve it. This is the review my wife wrote. However, my whole family was there: my wife, kids, and myself: I would like to share my concerns about this location. When we arrived, we noticed that this location was not busy for it being Memorial Day weekend. My daughter and I went to the bathroom. The regular stall was filthy dirty and there was toilet paper all over the floor. So, we had to use the handicap stall, which had toilet paper on the floor but it was cleaner than the regular stall. In addition, there was no toilet paper in either stall. We had to use paper towels to wipe ourselves. My son went to the men's bathroom. There was no soap in the dispenser and no paper towels in the bathroom. So, when we got out, we alerted the staff to these issues and nothing was done. My son went back to the bathroom several times and informed us that there were no soap and paper towels still in the men's restroom. Our waitress seemed friendly until I asked to taste the Daytona Beach sauce. She then developed an attitude like she didn't want to bring out a sample of the sauce stating that, "It's really hot!" I just wanted to ensure that the sauce was the same sauce we had at a different Hooters location. We made our order and when the food arrived, we ran into several issues. My Daytona Beach wings were burnt to the point where a majority of them were black as coal on one side. I asked the waitress that was assisting, our waitress, "Would you eat this?" I showed her the wings, and her response was, "No!" So, I asked for them to be re-made. At this pointed, our curly fries came to the table. They were barely warm like they were sitting in the window waiting for our wings to be cooked. At this point, we asked to speak to a manager. It took the manager almost 10 minutes to come to our table. She offered an apology and to take my wings and the curly fries off our bill. She had them remake the curly fries. When the wings came back to the table they were a little burnt but I wasn't going to send them back again. Our curly fries was hot this time. However, when my husband was eating his General Tso wings, the meat was dry and overcooked. We had no more issues until our check came to the table. We had ordered 20 Daytona Beach wings but was charged for 35. When we asked about it, our waitress said she had to put in each individual wings into the P.O.S system. We understood that, but we were still being overcharged even though we already ran into issues with our service thus far. The response from the waitress was that the manager just removed the charge from the bill because "We are about to close!" We didn't mind the extra upcharge for the Daytona wings, but we weren't going to pay for extra wings we didn't order and/or that was taken off our bill. We don't go to Hooters every week but we do like your wings. We feel this location needs training at all levels. They are definitely lacking something at this location. My boyfriend and I came in tonight for dinner. We had a young lady named Tiffany as our waitress. She was great! We got the endless wings. First time to this Hooters in Chester, VA. Holli the host had a great smile, was friendly and had a bubbly personality. This location is a newer corporate design that concentrates more on TV'S (from my seat I could count 25), then the old style of pictures of Hooters girls and signs adorning the walls. (My favorite sign was "We even carded George Burns!) All of those are gone. Now they have a newer contemporary style of the few signs that are up. Probably to move in a more social and politically correct direction. (My new favorite sign is "Keep your Friends Close and your Beers Closer!) For dinner, a Club Sandwich with curly fries. Sandwich was great. Bread was lightly toasted to perfection. Ordered meat cold. Overall it was a great item. One of the best clubs sandwiches in the chain! (Contemplated getting on to go to have for breakfast but the bread would become too soggy my morning) For desert, Chocolate Mousse cake. I should have looked this up before I ordered it. I was sure this would come in under the 874 calorie Caramel Fudge Cheesecake. I was wrong. This slice comes in at a whopping 1015 calories. I checked my vitals and provided emergency call back numbers to the staff before digging in. In true fashion I only made it half way through before raising the white flag of surrender! The staff is friendly when they come around. Matt the manager on duty was interested in customer experience. Nice guy. Holli and Crystal were standouts and gets 5 stars. Relocating to Richmond Virginia from Chicago and was here for the weekend to look for apartments. Was in the mood for wings, so I stopped at Hooters tonight. I ordered 6 wings and beef sliders, plus a To-Go order of baja shrimp tacos. My server was Madison. Nice girl but not very attentive and didn't really check on me at all during my visit. First issue, my to-go order came before my dine-in order, which means it just sat here the entire time I was eating. Who puts the to-go order in first? Anyway, my order finally comes and the sliders are dry. They forgot my mayo & mustard, which is no biggie but if no one ever checks on you, your food gets cold waiting on condiments. I decided to get up and go find someone and all of a sudden Madison appears and wants to help. She went and got me some condiments for the sliders. My wings and burgers were pretty good but I'm thoroughly irritated tho because my to-go food is gonna be cold and nasty but I don't have the energy to fight the issue. 03/12/21 We arrived at 10:30 and it took nearly 10 minutes for us to be approached and sat. After that it took 10 minutes before we got service, our server Jaimie, told us that the food would take an hour to come out so we ordered drinks. After 30 minutes some of our members got up and went to the bar to find out where our drinks were. Jaimi eventually came by and told us that the bartender was having a mental breakdown so drinks were taking longer. Some of our food came out an hour later, as the server stated it would and we tried to order more drinks at 11:30 and was told she couldn't put anymore into the computer system. She then started arguing with one of the members of our group and told us that we were being rude, snickering, and that she didn't HAVE to take us. That she had 6 tables before we came in and kept talking about it being slammed when only half the restaurant was filled. We were still waiting on the rest of our food, that now came out in to go boxes, when she told us that we could just leave and didn't have to pay for anything. She said that she was going to get out of there by 12 regardless and that she didn't need our money because she had enough already. When asked if the food had been tampered with, she said "no, not by the kitchen, but if it had been, it would've been by me" then came back around to tell us we had to pay for drinks and it took her another 15-20 minutes to drop off the checks. We never saw a manager and was never apologized to for the service we received. I've worked in customer service and in restaurants for a long time and you never go off on a customers like she did tonight. Shameful. read more

This is the second week in a row I've come here. I enjoy going out for wings and beer on Fridays after work. It's my thing. Alright, this Hooters was the only one I went to because....well, Richmond was too far. If you like: 1. Rednecks. Lots of them. 2. Saggy breasts held up by plenty of underwire and VS padding. 3. Noise. 4. Junk-food style wings. Then this is your place. Honestly, I don't remember why I used to go to Hooters so much when I was in the Army - perhaps it was the 20 year old young blondes with three kids who would flirt incessantly to raise tips. Who knows. But I just know that this last trip reminded me that I outgrew a slice of life that I used to embrace so readily.
