This place asks for 5 dollar cover charge to just walk in the door. I would avoid it at all costs.

It is spacious with lots of natural light (if you eat during the day). We ended up being one of two tables because we came at an odd time. There was only one person working front of house, Melissa, and it looked like she was bartender, hostess and server while we were there. Despite that she did a great job. She was gracious, attentive and even pulled out my chair for me. She knew about the building's history and seemed to take genuine pride. So if that is an indication of what the service is like all the time then A++. Food was decent, not mind-blowing. But I thought the quality was there. Ingredients were fresh. Prices were high end for the area but reasonable for the preparation and presentation. Food was well prepared. My only real complaint is my fried okra kept sliding out of its batter. See photos for more food info.

The lunch me menu was limited, so we all ordered the their Burger. Let me tell you it was delicious. I can't recall the name of it or everything it had on it, but one item was the "Onion gravy". That was the highlight. This was not an inexpensive burger either. I believe it was $23 for burger and fries. I also had an interesting Caesar salad that was $12. It was a pretty pricey lunch for a Sunday. However we left very satisfied. I would say given the opportunity we would come again. Check them out!

My potato smell smells burnt. The inside is so hard. I couldn't chunk it up to eat it plus, it was a very small potato compared to the last one I had from there the steak was good. The mushrooms, which were amazing the first time this time somebody added it to the seasoning and it was so hot I couldn't eat them. I don't know what it is about colonial Heights, but most of the places I have been in this town adds such a spice to their food that you can't even eat it! We're not in some foreign country where they eat nothing but spicy food!

It tasted more like a sirloin or cheaper meat. Sent it back and the second steak was no better clearly they have changed. We have been bragging to some friends about this place for some time now and they wanted to give it a try. For me and the wifey I think this might have been our 4th here. Each of our meals were plentiful for the money. Each of us left full. As for service: our young lady was very attentive to us. She must have checked in on us 3-4 times. I highly recommend this place for breakfast. So if you're a local or someone traveling I95 - stop on in a get a great meal.

Because Keystone Grill sits inside the Truck and Tractor museum there is plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is just inside the museum on the left. Go straight to the Bob's Big Boy, then turn left. :) The vibes inside are great and you can look right into the museum from the restaurant. It's a great set-up. Booths line the windows and there is a long counter/bar for seating as well. When I put Keystone Grill into my GPS it said "Closing Soon" and that I'd arrive about 10 minutes before they closed (3:00pm). So I called ahead and got my hot dog and a side salad to go. I arrived at 2:47pm and was glad I had called. My order was hot and ready to go. I took it back outside to enjoy in the car. The hot dog was BIG and definitely loaded up with chili and cheese. Chili had really good flavor too. The side salad was a nice size and had fresh ingredients. This is a fun stop and I'd recommend it to others.
