We were on a travel vacation and we stopped at the Chester VA Buffalo Wild Wings. Since we love the BWW food this was a no-brainer. We arrived at the Chester VA location and went inside. The first thing we experienced was the ambient temperature. It was freezing. It was freekin cold in there. The reason we go to BWWs is the wings are always perfect and the beer is always cold, however, the temp in this place was extremely cold, cold to the point of uncomfortable. Our barmaid Kenisha was dressed in a sweatshirt and tee shirt. She was freezing too. I ordered my usual 10 wings, wedges, and a tall beer. My wings came out and again were perfect, my wife ordered the pretzel nuggets and 6 wings and they were also perfect. However, the celery that I received was not crunchy, but chewy. OLD. Old enough that the ends were brown. This is not acceptable at any establishment. We could not stand the cold any longer and got a box for takeout. What a shame. read more

I had two different experiences at this location. A few weeks back I went in person (take out) and the wings were good. They didn't give me any of the carrots, celery or ranch I asked for so that was disappointing- but I thought maybe I should have checked the bag before I left or they were just having an off day. I noticed last week that they're on DoorDash so I was excited to order but when I went through the app, there were no wings available. They only have those chicken nuggets that they call boneless wings which are awful. I called and asked if they could swap the nugget/boneless wings for regular wings. The lady on the phone said no because they're priced differently. I asked if they ran out of wings but she said that they have them and didn't know why they're not on the DoorDash site and that it has something to do with the manager or corporate. She didn't know and wasn't very helpful. I ended up with the boneless wings which are seasoned differently than traditional wings and are just not good (to me). They did not send me my carrots, celery or ranch AGAIN. I'm not sure if this place has a shortage on items or if they just ignore the attention to detail that it takes to run a business successfully. I always love the nachos and the thai curry sauce is something I dream about...that being said, we live close to this one and choose it over the one in Colonial Heights when we can. On a football/NFL playoff Saturday I expect it to be busy. I get it. But when I order mini corn dogs for my son and they are out? C'mon. My husband and I were going to order a meal but our server seemed hassled and busy so we got the kids meal (chicken tenders) and nachos then asked for the check. I took my buddy to the BDUBS in Chester Virginia on 2/9/23 at approx. 3:30pm for his first time visit. Waitress was nice and then switched us up to a different waiter after we sat down at table. We ordered beers and chips and salsa then ordered a 20pc and 15 pc boneless wings. The chips and salsa hit the table about 3 minutes before the wings and the wings were brought out but they were bone in wings and the waiter said he did not hear us when we said boneless when we ordered. We bantered back and forth and we finally said we would accept the bone in wings. he left saying he was going to talk to his manager. We both get to eat one wing from the plates and then the waiter came to the table and pulled the plates from right in front of us while we were eating saying the manager told him to retrieve them as they prepared the boneless ones. We told the waiter we already decided to eat them and why are you taking them off the table?? A couple minutes later the boneless wings came out. We really didn't even get to enjoy the appetizer due to this weird serving situation. We both will agree that the wings were good. When the waiter brought the check he said it was wrong and then came back with a higher dollar total check. I then said we want a discount on the meal as you served it wrong and then snatched the plates from us as we were eating and that was not our fault and want a discount for the inconvenience of this visit and delay in food serving and the rudeness of pulling our dinner plates while eating. I then said just let us speak with the manager. The manager came out with an attitude and was explaining that we had to pay for the four plates of food and I said that is not right, your server messed the order up and we will not pay for 4 dinners. It became heated very quick and the whole restaurant crew, cooks, servers, bartenders all huddled around to either watch or defend this guy. Our waiter tried to interject information into the conversation and the manager told him to be quite and go back to the kitchen. My buddy kept telling me to be quite and then the manager told my buddy that he needed to be quite and that is the way that they charge for food. I stated to the manager that I cannot believe you are telling a customer to shut up when your employee made the mistake and as customers, we are not responsible for your employees messing up orders. Needless to say, my buddy paid the bill after I advised him no to do so because the meal and the attitude from the manager didn't even warrant a bill to be paid. I still cannot get over how rude your manager was to my friend and myself. My guess is that he has his whole crew on edge because of his attitude. I could image how he is with them, they must live in fear whenever they punch the clock to work.. GOD SAVE THEM!! We have two other witnesses who observed the whole exchange and even they said it was totally rude and inappropriate of that manager to treat us the way he did. The WORST. Rhonda the bar tender is awesome, everything else was down hill. I placed an order on the web for pick up and included a tip. Knowing they had been going downhill for a while (I do NOT blame COVID), I was late for the 8:40 pick-up. I got there at 8:52 and had to wait behind four other people who had web orders. None of our orders were ready, and we still had to pay the total price. When it got to my order, three things were missing from the order that was 30 minutes late and counting. The only answer was I can make it now (and have you wait longer), or I can give you a store credit. When I explained I wanted my tip back, he said he could not do that because it was a web order, and you cannot refund one amount that is not on the menu. I asked to be refunded the entire order and keep everything, and he stated he could not do that without the card that I placed the order on. Since I had left it at home, I was forced to wait for the food to be made (which meant the rest was stone-cold), AND they got a tip for piss poor service. The woman running the register blamed our wait on the kitchen, and Michael, the Manager, blamed the lack of refund on the online system. There is no unity or advocacy for the company as a whole. Where do I begin. I used to love coming to this location years ago so we decided to give it a try so my husband, daughter whom is 2 all went. They had trouble with getting us seated which made no since because they only had no more than 5 tables being served. I get short staffed and rotations but they made it work. Our waitress was nice but was running around and seemed she had a lot on her mind which I get. We waited for our food which took 30 minutes for a kids meal to come out and she was happy. Then ours came out 45 minutes later. I got boneless with fries and it was so cold the sauce was dried out. My husbands had traditional wings and they were raw on some but his were cold also. It took forever for our waitress to even bring a apple juice and come to the table to the point I sent my food back and to take it off my tab. Prices sure did go up but the quality is horrible.
