While in town visiting my daughter, we stopped by Texas Roadhouse to grab a bite to eat. Even though it was pretty busy, we didn't have to wait very long at all. Once we were seated, our server came over right away and brought us rolls and honey cinnamon butter. I really want to like their rolls but they are very sweet to me. I even tried them with the regular, whipped butter and I still couldn't seem to enjoy them lol. I decided to order the Cactus Blossom to start and it was actually pretty good. For our entrees, my daughter ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Bone-In Ribeye. The Salmon was a bit dry and lacked some flavor but she enjoyed it. My Bone-In Ribeye was very good. It was cooked perfectly and the caramelized onions added great flavor. The Loaded Baked Potato was also great but I swear it was the biggest potato I've ever seen lol! Overall, we had a great experience. Our server was very nice and the food was good. As we were leaving, the floors were a bit slippery so I hope they fix that issue. It's been ages since I've visited a Texas Roadhouse. How come nobody told me they were still good?? Every single thing I ordered was absolutely delicious and even better as leftovers. The ribs fell off the bone, the ribeye was chargrilled and tender, the baked potato was well seasoned and hefty, and the green beans were flavorful and tasty. My mom's salmon tasted like I made it myself which is great because I'm always looking for dishes that taste like home when I don't feel like cooking. My only gripe: When did the rolls get so small?? They were mini rolls smaller than slider size. Still hot, buttery, and delicious, but so friggin' tiny. read more

Stopped by around 11:30 on a Friday and even though it was pretty crowded, we were seated pretty quickly. Our server was super friendly and helpful and very nice, which is always a plus in my book. I ordered a sirloin steak with baked potato and sweet potato (things I am generally too lazy to make at home, they take soooooo long to bake!) and the steak was done exactly how I wanted it, so the temp was perfect on mine. The sweet potato was great and my only complaint with the potato is that they apparently coat the skins with salt during the cooking process, so it is soooooo salty. I generally prefer to eat my potato skins and not only was it inedible, it also drops salt all into your potato so it gets way too salty too. I only wanted butter and sour cream on mine, but I could not imagine how much saltier it would be if I also opted for the cheese and bacon like my brother did. I'm not sure if you could even get the potato without the salt, so I would definitely just have to opt for something else next time. We split a cactus blossom between the three of us and it is huge and delicious. Four people could have comfortably shared it. Some of the petals closer to the interior can be a little underdone, with some of the batter still being wet, so I did eat around some of those parts, opting for the outer layers which crisp up much faster. I'd probably still order it again since it is still a pretty huge appetizer for the price, and it tastes pretty good. You can smell it cooking from the parking lot and it definitely made us want to order it. The decor is pretty classic patriotic and military inspired, which I obviously love since I am retired military myself. I do find it very comforting to be surrounded by murals of aircraft carriers and military bases and such. Might not be everybody's thing, but I much prefer it to taxidermy animals, which tends to be the other theme of steakhouses for some reason... Also, the rolls and butter are awesome. I want to say thank you to Kendall the bartender. I've come here many times and I've never had service like that. You ignored me when I sat down at your bar then it took you more than 10 mins to greet me and after greeting me it seemed as if I made you upset. The rest of the service was mid at best. I would say the food was good however the cooks always do a great job with my salmon. Overall if I come back I'll just sit in a booth instead of my usual bar area. read more

Visiting the Battlefield- dropped in for some eats. This is a casual roadhouse that serves everything from steaks to burgers. The menu is quite large. I see it has a steakhouse as they offer a great selection of hand cut steaks. Burgers are huge !! They also offer seafood, chicken, and pork chops. Decor is mostly booths with very bright lights - the atmosphere is roadhouse - music playing and above average loudness. In the center is a bar area and there are some televisions. They offer complimentary roasted peanuts at the door if you have to wait. We were seated quickly. They give you a basket of fresh baked rolls and a house butter with sugar and cinnamon when seated. Service was very quick - above average overall. We ordered a basket of boneless wings for starters and a couple beverages- they always have great drink specials. The boneless wing basket was filled - nicely cooked and covered with a mild hot wing sauce - which I thought was a little spicy. They have Hot for those that want the extra kick. Fir the main course we order sirloin steak- which comes with 2 sides- we opted for baked potato and salad. They brought the salad first - it was nice sized and they have great choice of dressings. The steaks arrived with huge baked potato's. The steaks are seasoned so you probably do not need sauces but they do offer for those who like. One of our steaks was super good very tender - cooked to a perfect medium- the other not so much- was very chewy and little under cooked. I tried a few different slices but to no avail. I mentioned to the waitress- she quickly offered to have another prepared. I guess that happens - I think they handled it very well. We also had one of their Long Island Ice Teas - very good. All in all the food was very tasty - less the tough steak which they offered to replace and the service excellent. This place was casual and fun - the food and drinks are great. We will return. I know a lot of people enjoy going to Texas Roadhouse. Our friend normally goes to a different location closer to his home. We recently went to the one in Colonial Heights. He went to pay his bill and asked about his military discount. They told him the owner did away with it. We were shocked especially with so many veterans in the area. We joined the waitlist-received a text to gather & come inside, only to be addressed by a rude hostess, wait another 15 minutes, watch others who came in after us with larger parties be seated before us and finally be placed at a filthy table with food in the seating. To add injury to insult, the "manager" wasn't apologetic and basically doubled down on the unprofessionalism. My husband and I went to Texas Roadhouse. Seating was fast, waitress was friendly, took the order. My husband had steak and I only wanted a loaded potato. Well got my potato was loop warm, skin was burnt. When the waitress came back to check on us i told her the potato was cold. The waitress just looked at me smiled and left! In the middle of February, they had the air conditioning on! We had to change or leave. It was that cold. We changed tables, and it was tolerable. I still didn't feel warm enough to remove my coat until I was done eating. It is a loud restaurant. It is difficult to have a conversation with those you are dining with. A lot of yelling. The dining room was dirty. Service was good. The kitchen was fast. The food was okay, just okay. One of the things Texas Roadhouse boasts about is their fresh, hand cut steak. Based upon taste and texture, I would disagree. My steak had previously been frozen, not fresh. It's no better than a cheap steak at Applebee's. This is several times and multiple locations where I have low quality meals from Texas Roadhouse. Dining room cleanliness was an issue too. I am done with this chain. read more

We were traveling through Richmond and were looking for a place to eat since I had to stop for gasoline. Texas Roadhouse popped up and my passenger said let's go! So, we did. It was lively environment inside. The noise level was atrocious with banging of plates and people raising their voices to compensate. I had to get some ear protection because it was giving me a headache. (Tissue in the ears could also be used.) The family diagonally from us had a cute little girl smacking her ears in an attempt to deafen the sound. As for the food it came within a short amount of time even though they were busy. Our server was Damiyana and although she said she was still in training, was outstanding. Good job on your training program Texas Roadhouse! The food was very good. Will never be returning to this place again . My son took me here for late birthday dinner the waitress seemed overwhelmed and lost . I ordered an appetizer that never made it to us which we finally asked to be canceled. Then had a salad with my meal which had a bug in it ! When the manager came up all she could say was she was sorry and " I know that's not really what you wanted to find in your food huh" but she put a discount on our food and give us a free dessert. Update: Regrettably gave this location another shot after not going back for over two years. The service was horrible. We barely saw our waitress. Well not entirely accurate. She would come out and check on one table then walk off not checking on others and not noticing people trying to get her attention. The chili was cold and the baked potatoes were cold. Aside from a horrible service I was floored by the service the next table over got. After waiting on their waitress (same as ours) they flagged a random one down and complained about their ribs being cold. She left and 15 mins later the manager showed up with a rack of ribs. As soon as we checked in we were escorted to a table and we were immediately waited on. We ordered the fried pickles. They were ok, just a bit salty, but then I am not a lover of fried pickles. My son in law ordered the steak and ribs. The steak was cooked perfect at medium; the loaded baked potato was excellent. My daughter ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs, Mac & cheese and potatoes and I ordered the salmon, corn and loaded sweet potato with a peach tea. All of our meals were de-lish! The rolls of course are the best rolls ever! Our server Mykaela was friendly and very attentive. Relaxed atmosphere (we were there at 6 pm). The only downfall to our visit...we were seated in the back with a lot of small kids, who were loud and rowdy. Let me start off by saying how much we LOVE Texas Roadhouse. We travel a lot all over the U.S. and often look up a Texas Roadhouse to eat at. Tonight was no expection. We're driving from NY to FL and looked up your location for dinner tonight. A few problems with dinner - mine being the biggest issue. I ordered the Grilled Salmon 5oz with NO SEASONING. When my dinner arrived it had seasoning on it. I told the woman who brought it (Not our server). I told her NOT to remake it because it would take too long and my family of four would be finished eating. I started eating it anyhow. Our waitress (Bre) was amazing. She put the order in correctly, but the kitchen paid no attention. Bre insisted to NOT eat the wrong salmon that she was having another one made and it would be out in a quick minute. So I sat and waited for my dinner while everyone else ate. The NEW Salmon took at least 25 minutes to arrive to the table. When it came it was salmon on a plate, nothing else. (Typically I would imagine fresh veggies and some lemon) I asked the manager who delivered it if I could please have some lemons. It took her so long to bring them that I had nearly finished the entire piece of salmon before they arrived. The manager's name was Mindy and she had a total attitude problem - she gave ZERO apologies for the mess up - she handed me the salmon and said nothing. My mother ordered the Grilled Shrimp Dinner - I had a few of her shrimp and they were barely warm. She wasn't going to wait while they remade them so she ate them. Three of us had salads, they were also WARM - we expressed concern over this since my husband's salad had egg on it. Bre assured us the salads were fine (but may have "been sitting out for a minute so warmed up") My husband ordered the Grilled Pork Chop - it is suppose to come with some sort of pepper sauce on it - it was dry - Bre was nice enough to bring him the sauce. Again, Bre was an excellent server. However, dinner was NOTHING like we are use to. I was SHOCKED after waiting an additonal 25 minutes for my new salmon to arrive that the manager didn't remove it from our bill. Absolutely SHOCKED. If I knew I had to wait that long I would have told her to remove it from the bill and ate nothing. Thankfully this isn't our "home" Texas Roadhouse, because it's really really lacking in the customer service, and friendlyness we're use to! The setting is good it's nice and clean love the neon signs it took about 30-40 minutes to get the food I got a "all American burger" with NO onions or tomatoes I got the food and there was no onions but there was TOMATOES and the burger was the most salty burger I've ever had same goes for the fries 3 stars read more

So I've been here a number of times (dine in and Togo). I learn early on that if I get Togo to check the bag because something is always off. Let's start with dine in: the wait times are pretty accurate when they give them but the hosts at times are very disinterested in the customers upon entry. Most of the servers I've had are good others not so much. Whenever I'm eating in, the food has been correct, no issues there. The environment itself, is a bit dirty and messy, the bathrooms seem rarely attended too. I can say I've never had an over cooked steak, which is a plus. Now for Togo/take out... the quality of Togo service is just not there. Every time I've ordered Togo, they're leaving something out- dressing for salad, chicken for salad, utensils, bread, I mean each time I go it's something different. I usually use the "text when you get here" feature but that always takes an extended amount of time (10-15mins) so I've just been going in now (but that defeats the purpose of curbside). Tonight I ordered 2 salads and they didn't have the dressing or extra dressing I asked for and the portion size was extremely small. I did go back in and spoke with a a manger who promptly attended to concerns. She did bring back out the correct portion sizes and the dressing (that was originally missing from the order). I seriously don't understand why the Togo service is so bad. The restaurant selection around here is slim especially more when you want a good salad but this place has a really good chicken critter salad but a continued lack of attention will cost them more customers. read more

They forgot my cheese on my chicken but it it had already taken a long time to get butter so I just dig in. My chicken breast was so juicy (avoiding the trigger happy "M" word). My bae got the porterhouse steak, loaded baked potato and broccoli. Their steaks are always good but I still had to sneak a piece. Our waitress was extremely attentive and sweet; maybe overly attentive and sweet. She checked on us about 30 times during our meal. Our drink was never empty and we got so many complimentary bread rolls. There are free peanuts you can eat as appetizers. You chuck the shells on the floor. (Don't come if you have a peanut allergy!!) They also give out the best complimentary sweet bread rolls. My boyfriend and I were almost too full to actually enjoy our entree/ order because we kept on ordering the sweet bread rolls.
