The service ,food and atmosphere was immaculate but this is Maryland! What do you expect .

Crab corn bisque
Benjamin J.

Loved the restaurant and ambiance. We decided to sit downstairs as they have upstairs as well. There was some live music as well. The food was excellent and actually we ate too much. The cocktails especially the mojito was excellent. Paige our server was great even though at times the service was slow. Don't get me wrong she was sweet and personable but could have been more efficient. She actually forgot to put my orange crush drink in. They also have a kids menu which is a big plus for families with kids. During the off season their entrees are half off Tue - Thus which is a steal of a deal. Will definitely go back here the next time we are in OC.

First time but it will not be our last as Hooked is spectacular! We sat at the bar so we could watch football and Sean was amazing. We ordered the shrimp appetizer (sorry no picture) as well as fish tacos and fish and chips. Food was so fresh and delicious!! Definitely coming back!!

While passing through Ocean City for a day of sightseeing, I stumbled upon Hooked while searching for a non-chain dining option. I was immediately welcomed by warm, friendly service--our server was not only personable but also offered great recommendations. I started with the mussels, and my husband opted for the wings. The wings were so exceptional that I ended up ordering them as my entrée, accompanied by a side of fries. I was especially intrigued by the tomato jam--it was so delicious that I found myself wondering about the secret behind its flavor. The manager was even kind enough to give me a small container to take home with me. That small act of kindness really made my day. My husband got the hooked burger that he really enjoyed. Overall, Hooked exceeded my expectations. If I ever find myself back in Ocean City, I'll definitely return, particularly for those fantastic wings!

Great food! Everything had an Asian flair and we really enjoyed it. Service was great as well.

fish and chips

I get that menus and cooks change but I came here based upon the great looking photos of fish and chips here on Yelp. The fish itself was hot and fresh and... bland. Batter was good but fish needed a little salt... andddd tbere's no S&P on the table. And the fries are currently cold, mushy, clearly cooked in old oil and hoping against all hope that all the rosemary will save it. It doesn't and this plate is an embarassment at $29. Waittress was great. Not her fault the kitchen is sending out inedible fries.

Adult salmon, catered to a kid

Great beach place. Fish is cooked to perfection, kids meals are quality, and dessert was decadent. The bread basket was part raw, so my kids were beyond turned off. We went for an off season deal and got 50% off entrees. I'm not sure I would ever pay the actual prices for these meals, but with a deal or happy hour, you can't beat it!

Miss Chanel

Well I'm hooked! Not only on the sweet beans I was served but on the bean that took me back to her condo that night! I don't want to excite myself too much right now, but Miss Chanel showed me what it means to be truly appreciated and she worshipped my soul. She let me see her bean and in exchange I showed her mine... Let's back it up - I met Miss Chanel at Hooked this past weekend and we have been residing together for the past couple days. She is a dear treat to be around. This establishment has provided me with the resources I need to embrace my new role as a freelancer in this dark world. Please patronize this business and I promise you will not be disappointed by the fantastic women here! They will change your life for the better. WOW

Our waitress wasn't very attentive to our table and seemed more focused on joking around with other staff members
Rosetta H.

The food was great -- we really enjoyed the steak and potatoes, fish tacos, lobster roll, and wings. However, the service could have been better. Our waitress wasn't very attentive to our table and seemed more focused on joking around with other staff members, even hitting them with napkins. It took away from what could have been an excellent dining experience.

Orange Crush

My review was falling between a four star and five star, you will see why by the end. First of all, you walk into a bright and inviting bar area. We got there on the early side of happy hour and were able to be seated right away. Excellent prices for happy hour items as well. We started with the orange crush drinks and they were fantastic! Kung pao calamari was very tender and delicious. I would even say less sauce so the meat can shine more. My son loved the Mexican street corn, he was even talking about it the next day to someone at the beach. Caesar Salad was delightful! The Mahi Mahi was a little tough (overcooked) and not too much flavor, but my son had some leftover sauce from his corn that helped out. My wife enjoyed the lobster salad with the celery and onion being prominent ingredients inside. Being from CT it is hard for someone to say they enjoy a cold lobster roll. The service was also on point and we will definitely be returning at some point.

Enjoyed the happy hour specials at the outdoor bar. Orange crushed were delicious, and the food was great!

Fish and chips

Fantastic seafood menu! I was very happy with the overall experience. Our hostess and servers were welcoming and helpful. They offered recommendations and were patient while we pondered over our choices. We enjoyed the half price entrees (Tuesday evening) and even my teenagers found tasty options. We ordered the Classic Burger, Fish and chips, Crab bisque and a wedge salad. The restaurant was busy for off season in OC, but we enjoyed the atmosphere. If you enjoy seafood, the menu was fantastic. The flavors and combinations were spot on. Very thankful I splurged and went for the crab bisque. Nicely done. The bar staff were friendly and attentive, checking on our refills and drinks throughout the evening.

Rob and Rose greeted and welcomed us. We ordered the Medium steamed Crabs, Crab Cake Sandwich, Crab Bisque, corn on the cob and Hush Puppies. Wow! What a treat so early in the season. The Bisque was excellent. It's not too spicy but they give you extra seasoning and spice to add according to your personal taste. The Crab Cake was just as advertised. No filler, fresh Crab, Eastern Shore style and delicious. The medium crabs were very good. Some establishments would be seeking them as Large. They were seasoned and steamed perfectly. Heavy and sweet. The sides; Corn on the Cob, steamed in the Husk was very good and the Hush Puppies were a perfect pairing. My apologies for lack of pictures, we ate most everything before I started taking pictures. Rob and Rose were very attentive. They told us their story and shared a scrap book of their off season home in New Mexico. They were in the process of training and orienting their summer staff while we enjoyed our meal. The attention to detail, customer first, quality service and passion for excellent food was on full display. The dining is beach rustic and perfect. There's a good amount of parking and it's easy to find them right along coastal highway. What initially seemed like a disappointment today turned into a wonderful discovery of a new favorite. On The Bay Seafood is a must try if you're at the shore this year.

We usually come to the Berlin, MD area twice per year and typically go to all the same places. We decided to switch it up and try something new this time, and we were very happy with our visit. The bartender was very friendly. He gave a lot of advice and recommendations on the menu. He was attentive and constantly made rounds making sure everybody was taken care of. My dad and I stuck with light beer that night. My mom ordered an Orange Crush, and it was one of her favorites all trip. The happy hour also looks great although we were a little late for that. We also ordered an array of finger foods to split amongst the three of us. Clams Casino, Calamari, Fries, and Flounder Fingers (wasn't on the menu -- the bartender suggested going with fresh flounder instead of the rockfish -- great recommendation). The Clams Casino, differently than any other I've ever had, had classic ingredients but were uniquely topped with provolone cheese. The Fried Calamari wasn't bad but a little too breaded for my preference -- still nothing to complain about. We definitely enjoyed the first night of our trip in Maryland and that was largely thanks to some time spent at Crab Alley. Everything from the feel of the bar, to the service we received, the friendliness of staff and fellow patrons, and the views overlooking the canal, gives us reason to be adding this establishment to our rotation of bars/restaurants when we're back in the area.

The poppers came out hot, so definitely wait a little before taking your first bite. Rockfish was good and seasoned well - didn't need the sauce that accompanied the app. For my entree, I had the rockfish tacos, which were delicious. The two tacos came with a generous portion of rockfish that was topped with slaw, sauce, etc. I added some hotsauce (grab at the bar yourself) for that extra kick. I also tried some of the steamed shrimp, which was really good. Pretty simple as it just had Old Bay, but who doesn't like Old Bay?! Washed my meal down with hard seltzer (can grab yourself up front). They also have a few beers on tap. Overall a solid spot for seafood while in Ocean City.
