First time in a hookha bar in Reno. It was pretty cool. It was the first time my two friends tried hookha and they LOVED it. First off this place is in a weird spot, its totally hidden. Its underneath a hotel/apartment place called the Riveria (I think). You have to go down an alley to find it. People and service was super friendly. It was reasonably priced. They didn't have much on their drink menu, but it was cool, we were there more to smoke anyway. Chairs and tables kinda looked dirty and dingy, lighting to me was a bit bright, felt like you really couldn't chill.We tried the blueberry and it was pretty good. I heard it's not easy to find this place but my friends had already located it the night before so I just followed them. First impression - very mellow and it's a good place to hang out with small or big group of friends. My friends ordered blueberry, and the night before they had something else which was a special on the board. It looks like there's a lot to choose from. I didn't smoke but I definitely enjoyed the smell of blueberry. The place was getting busy when we left around 10pm. The worst hookah session I've ever experienced. They only put one hose on each hookah and they burn the shisha. Their setups suck. They came over 5 times to fix how harsh it was and it never was smooth. The employees were nice, otherwise I would had given it one star. It's also a horribly dirty establishment. The staff is friendly but the location is hard to find. My biggest issue with the place was how dirty it was when I went. There was ash dust every where. Hookava is the best hookah lounge in Reno by far. The hookah is always phenomenal, it's packed with flavor and puts out great clouds. The customer service is wonderful, they tend to your hookah whenever you need it and do perfect coal management. You can play your own music on the jukebox and watch world star videos on the tv. Went here for the first time on Friday and I enjoyed myself. The prices were good and the staff was friendly. I consider myself a very adaptable person so even though the scene wasn't diverse the music was and I enjoyed that. The only thing I didn't like was there were no alcoholic beverages. If you are one who enjoys thick clouds and is familiar with what a good hookah should hit like, this is NOT the place for you. They used the most basic, small bowls that would hit well for 1 round, if that, and then become very harsh. There was no cloud, very little smoke. I went last night with some of my roommates around 9 PM and they had one person handling over 10 hookahs. Which shouldn't be a problem if managed well, but service was very slow. It was pretty loud I couldn't hear my friend speaking who was 3 feet away. Overall, it was not a very good experience. I'm giving it 2 star just because they were friendly and the environment was relaxed, but the hookah experience was very poor. read more

So, this is our first time at this hookah spot.... Yea, definitely would never come here should we visit again. Our server wasn't the nicest. They sat us at these Ottomans that were very uncomfortable. My friend told our server that her back was hurting and if a booth opened up could we be seated at one. She said it was busy but if one did she would sit as at one. We sat there until two became available. Long behold two other parties who arrived after us and were actually Sat next to us totally not respecting the social distancing, got the two newly available boths. One both was open when we got there. We thought because of the social distancing it wasn't available to sit in. Yet the to new arrivals were seated there maybe 10 mins after being seated next to us. We did inform our server who could of cared less and said they had reservations. Upon us leaving we spoke with the gentleman/cashier who told us we should have asked him personally. Guess requesting that from our server wasn't personal enough, being that the other two parties did the same as us when they were seated. Too bad "no stars" aren't available on here. That's a no go for us. Just come to LA, way better service, seats and hookah. read more

Visited Reno and found a hookah lounge to hit up. Love the fact that even the cabbies can't find this place. Decor was nice, then it went down hill from there. All the shisha was Hookah Hookah, the trailer trash of shishas. If that wasn't bad enough the house music was nice the 2 seconds i heard it. A table full of bros were blasting music from their phones one rock, one rap... it was awful they refused to stop. Asked the workers, they did nothing because they were friends. The were using some of the crappiest bulk coals I have ever smoked. Then the waitress in her infinite, must have been trained yesterday, wisdom says oh it's time for new coals. No it wasn't she scraped them off all the way across the bowl pushing ash through the foil and into the bowl, making Hookah Hookah taste worse. At this point I ask for a new bowl since she obviously ruined it. They refused. Saying I don't know what I am talking about. Your right I have only been smoking hookah for 10 years and have had brands you never have even heard of. I have never been to a worse lounge in my life. We came to Reno for memorial weekend for a little getaway. My husband loves hookah so of course I came on Yelp to find one near us. That's how I found this place. I put the address on our phone maps and it kept saying arrived when we came to a greyhound station. We were confused and we started looking around and there was only a hotel across the street. It was a quiet area and we thought forget it maybe it's a shady place lol somehow I called the number listed on Yelp. A girl picked up and told me they're located directly underneath the hotel and she was super polite and friendly so it took my doubts to good feelings again. When we walked inside the place was packed and had a very casual, fun atmosphere with dim lights & loud music playing. Just what I wanted. We were greeted right away by an energetic girl and she seated us. Sorry I didn't get any names but then a guy came to take our order. We told him what we liked and he was very attentive & patient. Then he gave his opinion on what we would like even better that was similar to the one we chose. We told him he's the pro and he would know better. I'm glad we took his suggestion bc we loved it! It was a house special that had a grapefruit head (looked more like an orange) and coconut milk base. Amazing! This is my favorite bar in town! The ambience is wonderful and the drinks are very good. This is a great place to go on all days of the week. The staff is also wonderful and very accommodating! You can choose to sit downstairs with a Hookah and cocktail or you can choose to sit up at the bar and enjoy the view of downtown! Here is the scoop on this place... atmosphere has a great vibe for a hookah bar. Staff is inattentive, worried more about socializing with friends than attending customers. The hookah is TERRIBLE, last 15 minutes till it is burnt so bad it is not smoke-able... Beer prices are fair and it allows for 18 years and up.
