Upon dropping off the car they told me that due to the age they would charge hourly vs the flat rate, which is reasonable since they haven't made parts for this thing in 4 or 5 decades. It still drives like an old car, but the jerkiness and involuntary lane changes are gone. :) He got the best possible result out of my 72 year old steering parts and gave some great advice to boot.

Regarding security measures, we make every reasonable effort to ensure all doors and compartments on every vehicle left outside are locked at night. Keys are locked inside, and the alarm is set. We're installing an exterior camera system, but it won't deter crime or identify anyone. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in now. I understand your frustration, and feeling of violation. I'm sorry, but what happens when we are not here is out of our control. This is the same as if the vehicle were parked in a Walmart parking lot and items were stolen, parked on the street at home, or if a meteorite hit it at night. Comprehensive vehicle insurance covers that. If it were damaged while we were operating the vehicle, that is a different story. Our insurance covers that. I would suggest filing a police report, we are happy to help with any investigation. Hopefully, more patrol cars may be dispatched to the immediate area. I agree, communication needs to be better, and we take the security of customer vehicles seriously. Thank you for your time, Ryan Syring Owner Ron's Auto & RV / Orchards Muffler Phone: 360.256.7035 ronsautorv.com" After posting my original review, the owner finally responded. Unfortunately, his response was more disappointing than reassuring. While he acknowledged that our calls should have been returned, most of his response focused on why Ron's Auto & RV is not responsible for property stolen from customer vehicles left on their lot. Our RV was broken into while in their possession, and items including camping equipment and our registration decal were stolen. Comparing an RV left at a repair facility for weeks to a vehicle parked at Walmart misses the point entirely. Customers leave their vehicles with a repair shop expecting a reasonable level of security and accountability. What concerns me most is not the theft itself, but the apparent lack of concern afterward. The focus seemed to be on avoiding liability rather than addressing why a long-time customer's property was stolen while on their property. The mechanics may do good work, but based on our experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value security, communication, and accountability.

My wife punched a hole in the sidewall of one of her tires and I went to have it replaced on a Friday afternoon. However, it turned out they didn't happen to have the tire I needed in stock but did have it in Portland and could have it there on Monday. This wasn't a problem for me. However, when Monday came, it turned out my wife and had had a miscommunication and she wanted to have both the front tires replaced rather than just the one. So, at around noon, I called Hazel Dell Tire Pros and let them know about the situation. Although they had only gotten the one tire from Portland as we originally had discussed, they kindly sent somebody over to Portland again and picked up the second tire and had me out the door before 3 o'clock. Staff is helpful and friendly, and the prices seem reasonable.

Nearly $3,000 bought us failed brakes, unauthorized work, and a gag agreement. When we refused to…read morebe silenced, My Auto Works told us to call the police in order to get our truck back. I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience with My Auto Works was too concerning not to share. This place is dishonest, untrustworthy, and will try to force your silence when their work has been challenged. They lack in communication and are extremely overpriced (as a plethora of reviews below confirm). A more detailed account of our situation is included below with an attachment of the agreement they tried to force us to sign to stay quiet: We originally paid approximately almost $3,000 for brake repairs. When the truck developed brake problems again while that repair was still under warranty, we expected the issue to be addressed. Instead, we were quoted another $2,300 for what they claimed were entirely new problems, with little explanation as to why the original repair had failed. We paid their diagnostic fee and sought a second opinion. Then a third. Both independent shops concluded the issue appeared to be the same warranty-covered repair, not the new repair My Auto Works was recommending. After asking us to bring the truck back so they could "make it right," the communication was terrible. We constantly had to call for updates, despite repeated promises that they would do better. The biggest issue was that they performed work we never authorized. We had made it clear we were waiting on pricing before deciding how to proceed, yet after days without any communication, we called and were told the work had already been done and the cost was even higher than the original quote. We never approved this work. When we declined the additional repair and asked for our truck back, they initially tried to charge us another diagnostic fee. After reviewing their own recorded phone calls, they admitted we had never been told that fee would apply and agreed to waive it. Then came the most unbelievable part. When my husband went to pick up our truck, he was handed a "Mutual Release and Non-Disparagement Agreement." They wanted us to agree not to post reviews, discuss our experience publicly, or have anyone else do so before they would release our vehicle. We refused because we believe customers have every right to truthfully share their experiences. They initially refused to give us our truck back unless we signed and told us we needed to call law enforcement to make that happen. Only after another employee admitted, "Roland f***ed up. He was supposed to have you sign the non-disparagement agreement first, but you signed your invoice first. So you're getting the truck back. Take the win and leave," were we allowed to leave with our vehicle. Mistakes happen in the automotive industry. What matters is honesty, communication, and accountability. Unfortunately, our experience was marked by poor communication, conflicting diagnoses, work performed without our authorization, and an attempt to condition the return of our truck on signing away our right to speak about what happened. Poor communication, unauthorized work, conflicting diagnoses, and an attempt to prevent us from sharing our honest experience is not how customers should be treated. Based on our experience, we will never return. Head to "My Mechanic" for honest and reasonably priced work.

I wasn't sure how extensive the damage was because my car sits so low, but it looked pretty bad from a distance. I thought maybe it would be much more severe than it was. I opted to take it to Fast specialties because if it had anything to do with my transmission or exhaust or my fuel lines or anything mechanical underneath, they could take care of me, and a body shop would probably have me send it somewhere else anyway. I made a phone call to Fast specialties after talking with my insurance and Trevor communicated with my insurance company and got the ball rolling. Trevor kept in constant contact with me sending me pictures of the damage after he got it on a lift and then told me what was damaged and then communicated with my insurance. They ordered the parts which took a while so I opted to have some Performance mods added to My Gt. They put on all the equipment made it look better than new and then they put it on the DYNO Made a video of the run and gave me the performance numbers. Throughout this whole process, I felt like I was there with all the pictures and detailed explanations about what they were doing and I have two boys and they love the video of the mustang on the DYNO. if you're looking to get your Mustang or Corvette or Performance vehicle worked on, I would go there. The first time I went there they were actually working on a Ford GT and I don't think the owner would trust a vehicle that's so expensive with fly-by-night mechanics. There is too much money at stake. I later found out it was an actual GT not a replica. That makes it even more impressive. I am happy with the service they gave me and the excellent customer service, and I will go there again for any modifications or upgrades for My mustang.
