Yee Haw! Farm country fun with delicious beer, a lively band and a great food truck. Friendly ladies pouring the beer this visit. We also spoke with the young farmer that grows the veggies and fruits for sale in the barn. There's more. It's a working farm so you can explore the pens with the goats, sheep and sleepy pot belly pig. The pasture by the parking area has longhorns and a CAMEL. Yes, a CAMEL, and he will come to greet you, too. FYI for city slickers. Wear closed shoes because it's a FARM! The grounds is open air and mostly dirt. No farm animals wandering around aside from the patron's own leashed dogs. Lots of tables surrounding the backyard area. They have swag for sale, too. A must see, eat and drink experience!

Just a short country road drive away from my home in Davis and the weather was good, so we took the roadster out to check out Hooby's Farm. A great decision. They have eight beers on tap and plenty of areas to sit and enjoy your beer spread out among the fruit trees and grape arbor and inside the barn. There are board games available in the barn. This is definitely a family friendly location with goats, sheep, chickens and a pig. One of the goats kept insisting that I scratch her head, so cute. The farmer spoke to us about his farming methods. The chickens were a hoot. I started talking to one and soon almost all of them ran over and started talking back while they pecked at the ground. They had recorded music playing but they told us most weekends they try to have live music and food trucks. We had a fun afternoon and plan to return. The farm is located right across from the Yolo County airport so you can watch small planes landing and taking off. A word of advice, don't wash your car before you come as the parking area is down a rutted dirt road.

We had heard about the farm while at Hooby's in Winters and happen to be in the area so thought we would check it out. Took a little time to find it. There is plenty of parking. It was a hot day so wanted to find some shade. They had some shade tents set up and there is a barn you can sit in. Inside the barn was a very large pig and there are sheep and goats. (It is a farm.) We we're greeted as we walked in and ordered a beer and then visited with the pig. (First time our dog has seen a pig.) It was pretty hot so only stayed for one beer but will go back on a cooler day.

Hooby's Farm is fantastic! Great dog friendly location. Ideal for parties of all sizes, there is plenty of room to spread out. Food trucks and live music on the weekend - all the great beer from the Winters location is on tap here - it almost seems better drinking it on the farm. Staff is super friendly and personable, happy to give a recommendation for any of the beers on tap. Farmer Mike has a fresh veggie stand setup in the barn, and he's happy to grab you fresh veggies from the the farm!

Would be an awesome spot to hold an event as the barn is big & pretty as well as many other places to roam around.

This was actually my 2nd stop of the trip. The first stop was in Fairfield at Lowes. Another solid stop. As I was driving to Pedrick I made a mental note to myself of what I could get that was useful. I wrote on my list onions as they are only 89 cents for the yellow ones and a great deal. Also on the list were their pork tamales for a quick lunch when I got back. As it turns out when I got home my husband thought the same thing and stopped at McDonalds and got me a fish sandwich so I wan't wanting for food when I got home. Good thing we now have tamales ($2.89 each) for dinner. That's one less meal I have to plan. Lastly the most tasty and pricy purchase was going to be fresh strawberries. I got 3 baskets for $9.99 or close to that. I had some when I got home and they are more tasty than the ones in the grocery store. Though they aren't as good as the ones at the woodland Strawberry festival. Maybe I'm buying them off season. I was here July 15, 2026 around 12:30pm. On my way out I noticed the half price items on the cart out front. Lots of items were 99 cents or half off. You're not sure of the regular price so I wasn't sure if it would still be a good deal or not as could we actually eat that much. I picked up a bag of 2 heads/stalks of broccoli and a bag of zucchini, maybe 7 in the bag. I first took my haul to the car before checking out again. As it turns out the Broccoli and Zucchini were under $2 together. What a deal. The Tamales have gotten better. They have a new supplier and now there is less masa and more filling. They started off good, then they went really went down hill fast. They were all masa and little filling. It was really bad and we stopped buying them. We I saw they were packaged differently I inquired if they had a new supplier and the said yes, someone more local, I forgot exactly where they said they were from. We gave these new tamales a try and were happily surprised. The price over the years has really gone up in price too. The bathrooms are a great relief. This is a perfect stop for us on our way to and from the bay. They have 2 plumbed bathrooms and 2 outhouses. I had to use the outhouse last time as we got there before they opened and they were still cleaning the bathrooms after they opened. It wasn't that bad. The cleaning truck was just pulling away when I used the port o potty so I wasn't the first user after they cleaned it. I am just thankful that they have bathrooms and you don't have to make a purchase to use them. Tortillas are the best here. They are locally made and we love them. So much better than ones they sell at Raley's. Even though they are homemade they still last a while without going moldy. We've never had them mold on us. With the great deals on produce, great tortillas, and the bathroom situation we will continue to make this our stop. Between the two of us we are here nearly every week so we are always well stocked in produce and tortillas.

Grocery store strawberries are always a little gamble of is this sweet or will it be sour, and I'm generally okay with that as I love strawberries. But these? 100% guarantee to be the best strawberries you'll ever eat! We go early in the morning before it gets hot. It's pretty nice strolling down the lanes of strawberries and finding ripe ones. We got 10 lbs last trip and froze them so we can have them as long as possible. I feel like every time I go down to Sacramento, I'll be trying to figure out how to come down here. I really do love supporting this farm, it's run by a family that came from Thailand and they're really sweet! It's a true family own business, like you'll see the parents or daughter running the stand.

Although, it was a bit of a drive for us coming from Sacramento/Elk Grove we were able to maximize our time there. The strawberry farm is family owned and located not too far from other businesses in the area if you wanted to find something to eat or find somewhere else to hang out afterwards. There was a food truck, Laopino, that had delicious lumpias, music, a bubble machine, plus a few games and activities to keep the little ones occupied, and shaded tables to enjoy your fresh harvests. :) Tickets are only available online. Weekend tickets are released on Thursdays at 7 pm. When choosing our date and time it shows we only had an hour to pick but really we got to take our time and enjoy our morning. I feel they show you have a one hour slot to help stagger guests in. I love how they had a little gift shop set up, another tent with fresh flowers, drinks, and beautiful cookies at the register to purchase. The strawberry fields had plenty to choose from. We saw lots of bright red ones varying from all sizes. The staff also informed us there were 6 types of strawberries being grown! My kids enjoyed only for a short while and mainly wanted to stay in the kid area. There are also plenty of photo ops on the farm too! We would absolutely return in the future. Highly recommend!

Being able to include her in picking the strawberries then taking them home to eat fresh off the vine was everything and more. On the day we went (reservation on a Saturday from 10-11am) the cost for adults was $12 per person. This includes a small basket per person. They offer 6 different varieties of strawberries, yup you read that right. I had no idea there were more than one variety, so this educational part was cool. The farm can get crowded and with this Sac heat, I highly recommend scheduling your reservation early and on a weekday. The farm is family owned and everyone is so nice. Would absolutely recommend this idea to families with your kiddos.
