We always see this place inside the plaza where we go grocery shopping at Albertsons. Decided to check it out. We got their 2 combo plate. Half chow mein and half fried rice. Protein we got their teriyaki chicken and string beans chicken. On the other plate, the proteins we got were orange chicken and bbq pork. Portions were HUGE! Much more than what Panda Express would give. Overall the food were meh. Too greasy and the meats were fatty. The orange chicken- had no crispiness and it was ALL breading. Out of all things, I think I might have liked the fried rice more than panda. Another thing to note- do not go in their restrooms. It is not clean AT ALL.

Won Ton Soup, Shrimp Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef, Fried Chicken Wings

Ordered dinner here for three and overall the food was okay. The chicken wings were good, though each serving only came with four pieces. The dumpling soup was also tasty, and the house fried rice had great flavor. The Mongolian beef, however, had more onions than beef. Overall, a decent meal, but nothing particularly extraordinary.

I had a good experience with their Hawthorne location and it's been forever since I've been here so I thought I'd give them a run. Came through and knew exactly what I wanted: that fried chicken and mushroom with chicken. It wasn't busy, so I was helped rather quickly. Went for my grub paired with steamed rice and noodles. Like the Hawthorne location, they are pretty generous here! NOODLES: Nothing out of the ordinary. Comparable to Panda Express' version but this was a bit under seasoned - but nothing a bit of soy sauce couldn't fix. Great chew and flavor overall. FRIED CHICKEN: Some Yelpers say it's garlic infused/flavored. Not really sure if that's the case here as I barely got a hint of garlic flavor. They were delicious, though, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I feel it's been in the warmer for a minute, though, but that's to be expected. MUSHROOM CHICKEN: Also as expected but good flavor. More mushroom than chicken (like... 80% mushroom, 20% chicken kinda thing.) Still delish, though! FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 3. VALUE: 4. You get a lot for what you pay for. Plenty to share or for a second meal. PARKING: Huge shared private lot. Not an issue. OVERALL: 3.5. It's mostly a take-out kinda place but they have a few tables should one decide to dine in. SIDE NOTE: There's a really friendly down-on-his-luck guy, Casey, who hangs out nearby. If you're feeling generous, he'd appreciate a meal. Would return, absolutely.

Two 2 Item Combo with half fried rice, half chow mein, orange chicken and beef broccoli!

I've been eating from Hongkong Express since a kid when my mom used to get Chinese takeout from their location on Redondo Beach Blvd. I come to this location because it's closer to where I live now. The food has been consistent. I usually get half chow mein, half fried rice with orange chicken and beef broccoli. Their orange chicken is on point! I don't expect too much from Chinese takeout. It is what it is and if you know you know. All I know is the staff here is friendly and quick, and they pack your takeout box pass the brim.

A classic Chinese take out spot but a good one. The portions are VERY generous and decently priced. The food is all good and very flavorful, I would recommend the garlic green bean chicken. Even when it's packed the line tends to move pretty quickly and the service is good. Would definitely recommend for a quick but filling bite. Maybe just dont get the Thai tea though

Pork ribs in black beans sauce, orange chicken, chow main and steamed vegetables.

Generous portions that won't break the bank! Enjoy a 1 entree combo with 2 sides for just $7.99, a 2 entree combo with 2 sides for $9.29, or a 3 entree combo with 2 sides for $11.99. I chose the 2 entree combo with orange chicken, pork ribs in black bean sauce, chow mein, and steamed vegetables. The food was pretty good and exceeded my expectations! I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Oily egg flower soup with a burnt taste.

Have not been here for a while and it looked the same inside but it is apparent that the restaurant is under new ownership. Food was not very fresh and my portion of orange chicken was mostly fried batter crumbs with a couple of pieces of chicken! Sorry to say, I would not waste my money here as it turned out to be a not-so-healthy meal. The servers were very nice, but the quality of food was poor and obvious they cut corners. Here is a picture of the egg flower soup which was very oily and not exactly sure what the soup base is made of...oil?

Two 2 Item Combo Fried Chicken Wings, green beans with chicken
    Ty D.

I was in the mood for quick take out Chinese. Got the two item combo with half n half fried rice and chow mein. For the entree I got the chicken wings and the green beans with chicken. The chow mein and fried rice was standard quality for fast food Chinese. Nothing to write home about. You only get two chicken wings and both were the flats. Not the best choice if you want a lot of food. I was expecting at least 3 wings and one being the drumette. The wings were nicely crisp but was lacking garlic flavor. The string beans were solid. But there was only 2 small pieces of chicken. This place is a step above Panda Express and may be a little less in price. Mediocre fast food Chinese take out. Better than the Panda.

The one with all the steam dishes was so pushy but she had the Hao Goa (Shrimp dumpling) and chicken feet which we usually get. Food was not piping hot to begin with. Wrapping for Shrimp dumpling was mushy and a bit on the thicker side. All the other dishes were not memorable and nothing to write home about. But overall just not up to PAR. We asked the pushy cart lady if she had beef tripe and she said they could put in an order to get it steamed. The tripe never came but it was on our bill. So be sure to check your bill.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. I had looked at the menu ahead of time and convinced my friend that we should order "meal for two A". We each picked our own entree (almond chicken and sweet&sour pork) and added the fried dumpling appetizer too. The A meal comes with wonton soup, pork fried rice, and fried wontons & egg rolls. All this and we received some kimchi banchan! We were not expecting a feast! The wonton soup was warm and flavorful with plump wontons and bamboo shoots, and peas...just so good! What I so appreciated about the food was that nothing was coated in a heavy sauce for the sake of coating things in a sauce. At Little China the food is the main character and that's what you're going to enjoy. The almond chicken was didn't skimp on the almonds. The sweet & sour pork was so crispy and the batter didn't get soggy in the sauce, just so perfectly balanced. The pork fried rice, HEAVEN!!! Yelp had this place on its list of recos, but there was something about this place that drew me in... ... and it turns out, I have actually been here before. But it has been about 30+yrs since, waaaaayyy before my Yelp years! (SIDE STORY: My GodMom and grandparents used to live a couple of blocks away from here and we often ordered food here back in the day.) They are incredibly popular. All their tables were occupied (granted, there were only three or four) but patrons coming through were non-stop. Staff were efficient as well because given the line (there were three people ahead of me) they got us outta there pretty quickly. I went for half white rice, half noods, black pepper chicken and fried chicken/wings. (NOTE: they packaged the wings separately so it doesn't get soggy from the black pepper sauce - love this!) They were good at providing disposable utensils as well as sauce packets. It didn't take long before I was on my way back to work. Noods had nice flavorful chew. Rice was fluffy. Fried chicken/wings was crispy and savory with a slight hint of sweet. But the black pepper chicken was AM.A.ZING!!! There was so much flavor packed in every bite and couldn't get enough of it! There wasn't a lot of fillers either, so that's a plus. Highly recommending this! FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 5. They give you enough for a second meal. PARKING: Lots of space shared with others. Not an issue. OVERALL: 4.5. I couldn't stop thinking about the black pepper chicken that I just had to come back the next day to have it again. Paired it with orange chicken on that second run. Not as great, but it is one of their more popular items. (Most people ahead of me ordered it and the pan got refilled during both visits.) So it was a delight coming through here again as it brought back tons of memories. I even remember making many stops at the laundromat next door. Also drove by my auntie's old house. Ahhhh, good times! I shall return! If only for the delicious black pepper chicken!
