I'm so upset at myself for not having come here sooner! As a life-long Gardena resident it's only now that I've missed out on so many great places so I'm doing my part to visit local food places every Friday. This Friday (September 19, 2025) my friend and I came here. There are two rooms for sitting and we were sat in the 2nd dining room with the AC going (thank you Little China) nothing fancy but just a homey atmosphere. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. I had looked at the menu ahead of time and convinced my friend that we should order "meal for two A". We each picked our own entree (almond chicken and sweet&sour pork) and added the fried dumpling appetizer too. The A meal comes with wonton soup, pork fried rice, and fried wontons & egg rolls. All this and we received some kimchi banchan! We were not expecting a feast! The wonton soup was warm and flavorful with plump wontons and bamboo shoots, and peas...just so good! What I so appreciated about the food was that nothing was coated in a heavy sauce for the sake of coating things in a sauce. At Little China the food is the main character and that's what you're going to enjoy. The almond chicken was didn't skimp on the almonds. The sweet & sour pork was so crispy and the batter didn't get soggy in the sauce, just so perfectly balanced. The pork fried rice, HEAVEN!!! Normally this is my go-to jjajaangmeon place but lately it hasn't been hitting... The sauce was watery and quite bland. There also was not much beef. I absolutely love the service however. The staff is so kind and it feels like a homey back alley restaurant since the servers smell a little bit like cigarettes. But in a good way. :) read more

A restaurant I've known since I was a child. These days, many Chinese places serve food that is overly sweet or salty, but coming back here reminded me of what authentic Chinese-Korean food should taste like. The Kanpung Shrimp and Tangsuyuk are served in that classic 'old-school' style--not too sweet, and packed with fresh meat and shrimp. Get the tangsuyuk, kkanpung saeu, jajangmyeon, and jjamppong. Tangsuyuk, fried chicken, is a staple for any Korean Chinese restaurant. Crispy and juicy with some of that amazing sweet and sour sauce to go along with it. You just can't go wrong with it. Kkanpung saeu, fried shrimp, is equally amazing. Crispy and juicy and bursting with flavor, I had to restrain myself lest my future father in law gets mad at me for eating it all. Oops. Jajangmyeon is the classic. This black bean noodle is more korean but it's got the essentials. Plenty of black bean sauce, bits of meat, and noodles for days. It's hard to mess jajangmyeon up. My favorite would probably be jjamppong though. This seafood noodle was not too spicy but just jammed pack full of seafood and what not. Each bite left me sniffly but wanting more and more. I had stains all over my shirt and pants afterward if that's any indication of how much I liked it. So there you go, this hole in the wall restaurant is fantastic, eat here on many occasions if you can. Great service! Workers know multiple different languages and are very efficient. They are also very friendly with children. Food comes out fast, hot, and delicious every time. Their menu is huge so there will always be something to enjoy regardless of differing tastes. Id recommend getting a few dishes and splitting with everyone, its served family style anyways. SO GOOD. here's what i've tried: sizzling rice soup omg... i was not expecting this to be so good. my mom ordered this and i ended up eating more of it then her. it's an interesting porridge dish; the rice comes fried and the worker puts it in the soup, where it makes a sizzling noise (hence the name). it had various seafood in it and it was so scrumptious... jajangmyeon (noodle with bean sauce) wow. i usually don't like jajangmyeon but this had me scraping every bit on the bowl. the noodles were cooked to perfection. the portion is big so if you ask them to divide into half, they'll do it for you!! kkanpung saeu (fried shrimp with garlic sauce) scrumptious. great sauce, the shrimp is crispy and overall, it's just flavorful. this place is amazing; will def come back next time and try other dishes as well!! read more

Spicy version is also delicious with hearty noodles and spice level perfection for soup broth. Crunchy sweet & sour pork 탕수육 - you have an option to pour the sauce or sip it yourself. If you're in the mood for Korean-Chinese fusion food in Gardena, this is a great place to try. This place has always been our default to feed a large group. Parking can get crazy during rush hour, but you can do street parking if available. Most of their dishes can be shared family style. Also, a great place to celebrate for special occasions and holidays. This is one of the few places that opens during major holidays. I'd call just to make sure as things can change. The Food: Again portions are meant for family style. Our usual go-tos are 1. giang-jang mein (black bean noodle), 2. giang-pong (spicy seafood-pork noodle soup), 3. sweet-sour pork (tang soo yook) or shrimp (gaong-poong tang soo yook), 4. Mongolian beef, and 5. steamed buns. The top 3 ranked as mentioned above are a must for us on every visit. It's pretty filling. The rest for pure gluttony. 1. Giang-jang mein (black bean noodle) - this is a popular must-try for a Korean-Chinese fusion. The black bean sauce includes sautéed diced pork and veggies. It's very savory. Fave for all ages especially my kids. Portions are huge. You can request to have them split the portion in half for 2 ppl if one is much. 2. Giang-pong (spicy seafood-pork noodle soup) - if you're craving something spicy, seafoody and soupy, this one's perfect. This spicy noodle soup has chopped veggies, squid, and pork. Portion is huge so it's def. shareable. You can split this in half with someone else in exchange for their other half bowl of giang-jang mein. Best of both worlds. 3. Sweet and sour pork or fried shrimp - both are great side dishes to pair with your main dish. It's savory and sweet. FYI, the sweet and sour pork is more on the sweeter side with chunks of pineapple. My kids love it. The fried shrimp version is slightly sweet but a bit of spiciness from the red chili peppers in it. Sharing is caring on these ones as well. 4. Mongolian beef - my wife's fave. The sautéed meat with green onion is cooked to perfection. Eating it by itself may be on the salty side, so balance it out with a bed of white rice (upon request). 5. Steamed buns - oh... can't leave without trying their freshly steamed buns. It's soft with a slight hint of sweetness. You can sometimes catch yourself unknowingly dipping the bun into the sweet and sour pork sauce and bopping your head uncontrollably while biting into it. I won't judge you if you do. The Service: Service is quick. Food comes out quick. Don't expect them to bring you hot towels or salt bae your Mongolian beef. This is NOT that place. Just come here to eat. The Ambiance: The inside may feel like your typical Asian hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Foods usually taste the best in such places. If you're expecting a 5-star uppity restaurant, I'd advise you to keep Yelping to find one. Otherwise, come here to gorge yourself with some good ol' Korean-Chinese comfort food. All in all, if you're looking for a good Korean-Chinese fusion restaurant in Gardena, def. try out this place. Portions are huge enough to feed a large group. This feels like it has more Korean influence than a Chinese restaurant that's more pure Chinese, has, albeit, it's advertised as such. I kind of feel like I separate my Korean cuisine and Chinese cravings as isolated experiences that I prefer or desire. Ok I feel really bad for calling them at 8:53pm to place an order (thinking they closed late) but was told they close at 9:00pm. I apologized but she was able to accommodate and accept my order!! I ordered the hot and sour soup, sweet and sour chicken (Chinese style), and the jjajangmyun. And honestly.....BOY THIS FOOD SLAPS I had no expectations what so ever but the food was 100% tasty!! The sauce for the jjajangmyun was on point and it was very well balanced with the noodles, the sweet and sour chicken was flavorful (chicken was really crispy), and the hot and sour soup was amazing!! the food was bland. i get better tasting food at Panda Xpress. the mongolian beef was so thin and tasted a bit fishy and like it was breaded. Is it supposed to be? The coated chicken for the sweet n sour chicken was also bland but i guess thats why they give you the syrup. But there was more coating than chicken. the decent part of the meal was the pork chowmein and i dont even like chowmein. Pretty standard Korean-Chinese fare. They will satisfy your jja jang myun (black bean noodle) and tang soo yolk (sweet and sour pork) cravings from childhood. They are probably the only such restaurant in Torrance/Gardena area with the full menu of Korean-Chinese restaurants, like in Ktown LA. The only problem is they are definitely pricier than LA, once it's all said and done, and not quite as good. But can anyone really rival the tangsooyuk in ktown? Probably an unfair comparison. I'm grateful to have this full Korean Chinese restaurant in town. They are great for takeouts too. If you're unfamiliar with this type of food - kids love the black bean noodles.
