Korean Chinese food is such a bop. You can't convince me otherwise. Is it the healthiest? No but who cares, live to eat, not eat to live right? So where do we even start. Get the tangsuyuk, kkanpung saeu, jajangmyeon, and jjamppong. Tangsuyuk, fried chicken, is a staple for any Korean Chinese restaurant. Crispy and juicy with some of that amazing sweet and sour sauce to go along with it. You just can't go wrong with it. Kkanpung saeu, fried shrimp, is equally amazing. Crispy and juicy and bursting with flavor, I had to restrain myself lest my future father in law gets mad at me for eating it all. Oops. Jajangmyeon is the classic. This black bean noodle is more korean but it's got the essentials. Plenty of black bean sauce, bits of meat, and noodles for days. It's hard to mess jajangmyeon up. My favorite would probably be jjamppong though. This seafood noodle was not too spicy but just jammed pack full of seafood and what not. Each bite left me sniffly but wanting more and more. I had stains all over my shirt and pants afterward if that's any indication of how much I liked it. So there you go, this hole in the wall restaurant is fantastic, eat here on many occasions if you can. The workers mostly speak Chinese, not so much Korean, but English will get you by too.

Food is fresh and flavorful. Love their noodle soup and fried dumplings! Spicy noodle soup is a must try.

Great service! Workers know multiple different languages and are very efficient. They are also very friendly with children. Food comes out fast, hot, and delicious every time. Their menu is huge so there will always be something to enjoy regardless of differing tastes. Id recommend getting a few dishes and splitting with everyone, its served family style anyways. The black bean noodles and seafood soup are some of our favorites.

The food tasted good overall; however, the portion size was much smaller than expected. We ordered a large tangsuyuk, but it appeared closer to a small portion.

don't know why the overall review is so low... this place definitely has great korean chinese food!! there's a lot of seating and the servers were so nice. my family and i took a while to order but the guy there was super patient with us and even helped us pick out our menu. the food... SO GOOD. here's what i've tried: sizzling rice soup omg... i was not expecting this to be so good. my mom ordered this and i ended up eating more of it then her. it's an interesting porridge dish; the rice comes fried and the worker puts it in the soup, where it makes a sizzling noise (hence the name). it had various seafood in it and it was so scrumptious... jajangmyeon (noodle with bean sauce) wow. i usually don't like jajangmyeon but this had me scraping every bit on the bowl. the noodles were cooked to perfection. the portion is big so if you ask them to divide into half, they'll do it for you!! kkanpung saeu (fried shrimp with garlic sauce) scrumptious. great sauce, the shrimp is crispy and overall, it's just flavorful. this place is amazing; will def come back next time and try other dishes as well!!

Great food and awesome service. Good and fast. Great ambiance. definitely a place to try here in Gardena

This hole-in-the-wall gem in Gardena was a pleasant surprise. Chinese-Korean fusion food. A family-oriented spot where you feel like you're being served by mom. You are taken care of while dining. The Sliced Fish with Garlic Sauce (#109) along with the Eggplant with Hot Garlic Sauce (#122) were both excellent choices!

Updating to 5 Stars. Better food, better service. This restaurant is full of customers. Best place to eat for big gatherings.

I love coming here, as the food is consistently great. The brisket is really tasty and they give you a good portion of it. Soup is always hot, not lukewarm which I appreciate. I genuinely think their sullungtang is the best I've had! I was really happy that this time, they had purple rice. The past few times, they only had white rice, so this was such a great change! Not sure why they were out of the purple rice for so long, but glad that it's back! Banchans are great with unlimited refills! Service: the couple that runs this restaurant are welcoming with good customer service. Parking: This place is located in a plaza, so there are a lot of parking spots available right out front which makes it convenient. Overall, if you like Korean food and sullungtang, I would definitely recommend you come here!

It also seemed to include some new items, or at least ones that weren't printed out on the placemats. We've previously tried their cold noodles, galbi, hot stone bimbimbap, tofu soup and seafood pancake. All are pretty good but the cold noodle is our favorite. This time we ordered their fishcake kimbap and the cold noodle and galbi combo. I previously saw photos of their kimbap but didn't see it on their menu until now so I was excited to try it. It comes with 20-24 pieces and a side of soup, quite a lot actually for one person. The kimbap was as expected, it was flavorful, had a slight crunch (from the pickled radish) and didn't fall apart easily while eating. It comes with a dipping sauce but it wasn't particularly noteworthy and I didn't feel it is required to use. The cold noodles were a bit different this time but overall had the same flavor. It comes with half an egg, pickled vegetables, slices of cucumber, and slices of meat in an icy broth with buckwheat noodles. Be sure to add the mustard and vinegar for added flavor. The side of galbi was as expected, but doesn't arrive sizzling like at many other Korean restaurants. The flavor can vary, sometimes more flavorful than other times but overall it still pairs well with the cold noodle. Service can be a bit spotty, especially when they only have one server doing everything. It can be hard to flag someone down so be prepared to sit around for a while if they have less staff and many customers. Overall not a dealbreaker but just something to be aware of.

I thought the bossam combo was definitely worth the money for the pricing and amount of food. Bossam - 100/5, WOW the meat is so tender and flavorful! Don't miss out on the saeu-jeot (fermented shrimp) sauce for a salty and umami packed bite! Tofu soup - 4/5, the fatty pork pieces and zucchini make this such a filling and sweet soup. I really enjoyed the tenderness of the meat pieces. Doenjang - 3/5, tasty but a little too funky for my personal tastes. Bibimbap & veg - 4/5, I didn't realize this was a no rice option and has a shredded cabbage substitute. Still delicious, but wish there were more sesame oil. I don't particularly understand why this is a summer dish other than it being cold. Very rich, very thick. Definitely not something you want to eat yourself. I believe you get salt on the side if you want it saltier. Get the bossam. It was so good, and the portion was huge. Meat was tender. The kimchi was super fresh. Braised fish was great. We gave this place a try because we were excited to see they have Rice Wine here (since most of the mainstream KBBQ places didn't have this), and we were satisfied beyond our expectations. Parking: A very small dim lot next to the restaurant. Right below the small sign that sits above it. Ambience: We came on a Saturday night (7:00pm) expecting busy wait times but we called in and there was no wait! We were immediately seated. It's a very small restaurant, the booths are big enough to fit a family but bigger parties may need to call in to see if space is available. The vibes are especially different from most bigger and popular places but this qualifies as a hidden gem for sure. Service: Quick and nice! Second time coming to a place where they cook it for you at some points and serve you. They check on you often enough and were quick to see you get all that you ordered. Food: Absolutely nothing I've never had before, we knew we wanted brisket and pork belly, we skipped out on the combos + intestine sections bc of this. Luckily our two meat combo qualified us to also receive a soybean paste soup, steamed egg, and corn cheese for free! We additionally added rice paper to our order for a small charge. The menu is vast and I would like to come back here to try their different meats. I have never had a more flavorful brisket in my KBBQ experience before and the pork belly was thick enough and had that chewiness texture that made it so enjoyable. Employee was nice enough to inform us that the soup + steamed egg are carefully cooked with real flavorful ingredients, so expect high-quality. We didn't go into this place expecting AYCE since we believe places that offer à la carte specializes in quality, so please come with the same idea if you choose to go here! Regardless, our small bodies were filled by how much food we received! Overall, I gave this place a chance despite its smaller reviews, smaller atmosphere, and a generally smaller presence this had in comparison to its competitors. I would suggest you do the same too!
