What's up guys I'm back in the building. So basically I went here unexpectedly and did not take as many photos but I do have this thing. Honestly , I liked it. I can't lie in the grand scheme of buffets it's... rather on the lower end. But for the upper peninsula it's absolutely fire. Not many sweets but you're mainly here for the food so. The noodle variety was good and a lot of fried options which are very yummy but a bit similar. The Rangoons are soft here though so a little iffy on that. Theres not terrible many vegetable options maybe 3 or 4 but a good amount of fruit. there was also no plain rice only yellow with vegetables . I really enjoyed the skinnier noodles though as seen in the picture. Since it's a buffet the service isn't a big deal they got me my water and I was satisfied . food was excellent, great variety, white fish, sushi, rice, chicken, etc everything a family could want. Service was fast, polite. buffet was constantly being attended to. We can hear the other patrons talking, laughing enjoying themselves. Ambiance was like any other buffet, people enjoying good food. We'll definitely be back. read more

Always friendly and clean. We come from Gwinn to eat here. The food is always awesome. This is the only buffet that we trust.

The Hong Kong Buffet never fails. Great, hot food. Great variety, good service. Parking lot is small but that is the only down side.

It was very dry the service was horrible worse experience in my life I am 55 and it was the worse food ever I found hair in my food and I am bald so I know it not mine so I will never come back horrible food and before I sat down they asked me what I wanted to drink the servers were arguing horrible I will never come back close to that's restaurant and they tried to run me 100 dollars for 2 people unbelievable absolutely horrible. Food was so so. Sushi was horrible. Deserts were dried out and not good. The dishes such as general tao was ok. Shrimp even seemed old but was the best thing in my opinion. I asked for water and she brought me sprite. I don't think she knew much English. I hate sprite but I don't drink I just have it in case I need to use it to get something dry down. So I was charged for something I took one swallow of and my happy meter went to ground zero. Not pleasant people there. Only one worker knew how to smile. Even the customers were rude. I was standing to pay and someone was playing with something they had on the counter until a customer behind me yelled out move. Not a pleasant experience at all. read more

The price is decent, but for the amount of food they have is just poor. It's dry, some of the trays were empty, and it's just hard to find anything to eat with the lack of choice there was in there. Some of the workers there looked like they were sick of working there and wanted to go home when it was almost 2-3 hours before closing. read more

Just ok. The only Chinese buffet in town. The Mongolian grill is an after thought. Stick with the regular buffet portions. The buffet is replenished often by the lady walking around with a karaoke mic, The peanut butter chicken was good as well as the seafood medley. One of my favorite places to eat in Escanaba. The price is good and we always leave feeling very full. My boyfriend loves their Mongolian and I always get their roasted chicken. 80% of the time we go out to eat, it's at this place. I don't know why people are saying it's expensive. It's cheaper than going to a restaurant and it's all you can eat. read more

A good Chinese buffet. To their credit, there was crab on the buffet for $10s at dinner. That's amazing. Drinks are priced additional. The quality was on par of other more expensive buffets. I would come back. read more

I'm afraid to eat at this place. When you go to the Mongolian BBQ and there's raw chicken/beef sitting out for hours at a time and not in ice or anything, it's not exactly appetizing. Everything else is your typical MSG-laden midwestern Asian food. Also note that when you leave a tip, the owners keep it rather than giving it to the wait staff. read more

we just ate at hongkong in escanaba,mich...my grandson got a hard plastic piece out of one of the rolled cake.....very disapointed... this is not the frist time that we have fount stuff in their food... didnt even say they were sorry or discount...of any sort...and i have always loved eating there...but will think about eating there any more.......shirley read more
