    Swedish breakfast.

Really fun place for breakfast. The food was great and I bought a clock from the wall of clocks.

This place has an authentic feeling but a variety of foods. I had 2 Swedish meatballs, 2 Swedish pancakes, melted butter and ligonberry jam, and hot syrup. It was delicious! Coffee and service were very good. The pancakes: like a crepe, like a noodle in the center, thin, not cakes, really tasty. They sell the pancake mix in the front of the store. Also, fresh baked goods and a mix of collectibles and re-sale.

I saw the restaurant on YELP and it met my expectations. They offer dishes that are Swedish specific and this was exactly what I wanted to try. Great service and outstanding food. Give this place a try !

BEST SWEDISH PANCAKES WE'VE EVER HAD we first came here the other day, assuming it was more of a bakery/giftshop but were pleasantly surprised to find it was a whole restaurant too! decided to make it our last stop out of town (we were just visiting) and it was a great call. i've always assumed swedish pancakes had to be sweet crepes but these savory slices of heaven were thebomb.com. never had lingonberries, was told they were similar to a tart cranberry and i would say so, very good, tart berry with the savory pancakes was something i didn't know i needed in my life, might have to drive up from madison again just for those! service was excellent and the seating area has pleasant with loads of cool things to look at on the walls.

#1 Swedish two-egg omelette is perfectly, deliciously filling

Sat. 10am, pretty full, waited a bit for food but taste made it totally worth it! #1 Swedish Pancake Specialty is the best deal: crepe pancakes w/butter sauce, syrup and lingonberry jam PLuS 2 Swedish meatballs. I enjoyed the 2-egg Swedish Omelette that overflowed with fixin's, oatmeal toast was dense and super filling = whole lotta goodness going on here! Locally owned, adorable interior, astonishingly delicious.

Amazing Swedish food that you should order instead of wraps and Mac n cheese. This is what it looks like.

Drove up from Kenosha, saw the sign on the highway and decided to give it a shot. So glad I did. The interior is pretty kitschy and the tables are straight out of the 80s. The place was pretty busy, but we were able to grab a seat pretty quickly and placed our orders. Do yourself a favor.. instead of ordering what the one star reviewer below ordered, order the Swedish food. You're in a Swedish restaurant.. get the meatballs, get the Swedish fries, get the limpa and the turnips and the lingonberry. Go to absolute town on the Swedish food.. do not get a wrap and Mac n cheese.. I don't know, maybe it's good? I can go to ten other restaurants in Escanaba for that.. I'm here for the Swedish food and all of those awesome looking deserts. You should too, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I am so glad I went here!! Service was amazing food was even better and place is adorable!! Pancakes were definitely my favorite! The meatballs were a close second. And then the sauce that comes with it (can't remember right now) is yummy, it's just like cranberry sauce but a little sweeter. Soups were good also!

Eclectic decor that's also for sale! Seat yourself was nice, able to walk right in. Service was fast & friendly and the food was delicious. The Swedish pancake is similar to a crepe, but thicker. It was also nice to have a carafe of coffee on the table so I didn't have to wait for refills. Will definitely stop back the next time I'm in Escanaba!

The food would have been better if it came out of the kitchen a little quicker & warmer that's for sure. The other customers who came in after us, got served their food before us. It was so disheartening on how the owner looked down on us, I think it was because we looked different than her, she treated us like we were some kind of third class citizen as we were paying.

What a gem!! We came to Escanaba on our boat and rode bikes to have breakfast here. WOW! I had the Swedish pancakes with meatballs (absolutely delish) and my husband had the potato pancakes, which were cut to order and absolutely fantastic. We can't wait to come back!!

I visited Swedish Pantry for breakfast on a Saturday. The dining room was full, but not crowded. My first feeling was one of surprise at all of the random items for sale at the restaurant. It very much feels like you're eating inside a gift shop. The service was warm and friendly. I tried the potato pancakes. They were huge - three giant pancakes that I could not finish alone. Unfortunately they were really dense, although the flavor was good. My friend had Swedish pancakes with meatballs. He enjoyed the meatballs the most, but his pancakes were also very good.

Was a delightful taste to find in Escanaba. We got the latkes and swedish pancakes. And our waitress was an adorable dream.

My server w bangs and glasses was super kind, funny, spunky, and efficient! Same with the younger lady w the fancy highlights. Adorable interior that's very cozy, would be a regular spot for me if I was a local. Ordered one surprisingly big pancake, American fries, a BLT w fries, a side of gravy, tea, and water. The restaurant is still small and at 10 am- full! We had a larger party of 6 and luckily the waitress asked a couple (no food yet) to please move from the 6-seater they were at to a 4-seater, as we were ready to say "uncle" and leave without ordering. Back in the day, Rosy would have never let 2 people sit at a table for 6. As for the food- the giant pancake was a standout. Huge and thick and yummy! Loaded with butter and syrup the entire table ate pieces of it. I had a cheeseburger and fries, it was good- not special but ok. I think the hash remains a favorite of my fellow diners. You can now get hash everyday (back in Rosy's time- it was a twice a week treat). Service is overall a bit slow- but cooking space is limited and they were busy- so it was expected. It's still a cash only business. So bring your dollars, patience, and an appetite!

The check in process was easy and parking while minimal was adequate during my stay. They offer complimentary coffee and water when you walk in which was a nice touch. The elevator is very old and extremely slow and I found myself thinking stairs might be faster. As for the room I had heard ahead of time not to stay on the sixth floor due to reported haunting activity so I was on the fifth. Each room is supposed to have a theme but mine felt rather dull and uninspired. Unfortunately the room was dusty and I found hair in the sink from a prior guest which was off putting. The bed was comfortable and the temperature was cold when I arrived at 62 degrees which I actually liked. The view was nice but the room was very loud in the evenings. I suspect I was right below the sixth floor bar because I could hear chairs dragging and plenty of noise until about eleven or twelve at night. On the positive side the staff was kind and nobody was rude. I also tried their restaurant pub twice and it was excellent. The fish and chips cheese curds and chicken strips were all delicious and I highly recommend eating there even if you are not staying at the hotel. Overall while I appreciated the history the location and the food I would not stay here again. My three star review is more about the cleanliness issues and the constant noise from above. For two nights in a king room the total was eight hundred twenty five dollars and for that price I expected a cleaner room better upkeep and more amenities.
