We had a nice time at Grams. The pasties came in many different flavors. I got the veggie one and it was pretty good, my friends got the jalapeno beef ones which were apparently spicy and a little lacking in flavor. I also got the scotcheroo, and that was very yummy! If you're in the UP, you'll see pasties everywhere, definitely have to try one!

Delicious hot pasties. It's a very small place and by 4 pm only a couple of flavors were left hot. but there were more choices if you wanted frozen. We had the very traditional beef w rutabaga and carrot, and a side of gravy. It was wrapped in paper and just as expected and piping hot. The drive-through was crazy busy with cars lined up. The small area inside has only one table for diners but there are picnic tables outside.

They sell local IPA six packs and a great selection of Yooper clothing

Best ladies in the area. Need and Rutabaga are always good. The best breakfast pasties by far. Locally made sweets for sale as well. Cool little gift shop!

This was our first experience eating a Pasty and I'm so glad that we waited. The ladies working there were the best! I learned that I've been pronouncing it wrong my whole life and even got a joke out of it. My husband and I both got the breakfast Pasty which was delicious. We also grabbed a few frozen ones to take back to Alabama with us. If you're in the area it's totally worth it! Dine inside and enjoy the ambiance and the service!

I decided to try another joint to see how their pasties differed from others. Their version was round - almost like a pie. I went with Beef, Rutabaga and Carrots with side order of coleslaw. Their pasty had more flavor then the other place. This place also offered many varieties of pasties, including breakfast version, ham & Cheese, Philly Cheese steak, etc - anything they can stuff the pasty with, it seems like they do it here. Ordering was simple and quick, was in and out within few minutes.

They're ok. If you know what pasties are, you already know what to expect. If you've never tried them, you should. They're not very flavorful, they're similar to an empanada or similar to a calzone but not with as much flavor. I found them to be overpriced bur maybe that's normal for the area and with prices going up on everything.

Pastes had too many potatoes, not enough of the other vegetables. My grandmas were much better.

You won't go wrong with any pass-tees. All sizes, all shapes. Veggie or meat. I don't have any negative comments to say about pasties.

Absolutely perfect light and flakey crust, right balance of flavors and diced vegetables, including rutabagas.

It has some cute souvenirs in the front, where they also sell baked goods, Swedish pancake mix, and syrup. I went there for lunch and we got to try their pancakes, potato pancakes, sandwiches, fried perch, and more! The server was friendly and helped us with the menu, letting us know that some of their Friday specials can be actually ordered any day. The potato pancakes were hefty and great, but as for their Swedish potatoes and fried perch, it was quite subpar and didn't feel very fresh. The green beans side had a canned sour taste. We also tried their giant peanut butter cookie, which was an interesting texture and just okay. It was a fun experience, but the food was average.

During the time of COVID-19 I'm looking for shopping experiences with minimal human interaction…read more Popped in tonight to pick up a few things and was eager to use the shop & scan feature in the Meijer App. Normally, self scan means you have a contactless shopping experience. You scan your items and pay for them- all on your phone. Here's the weirdness that is this feature at Meijer. Scanned my items with my phone (so far so good) but then to pay for them I had to go to a "self serve" check-out, scan a QR code on the screen, have the employee come up and tell me they are required to scan "3 of your items" (I was buying 4 things)- and then you can scan your credit card at the self checkout to pay. That's certainly not scan and go, nor is it contactless. There is really minimal benefit to scanning on your phone vs scanning all your items at self checkout. The other really unbelievable aspect of Meijer in the time of a pandemic is that they will charge you $4.95 to pickup your order at the store and you can't use pickup for any alcoholic items. Meijer needs to take some cues from WalMart- which has order pickup down to a science. They bring the groceries to your trunk quickly, for no charge, and will bring out your alcohol (with a convenient curbside ID check). I don't want to go through the checkout nor have the front of store staff touching "3" of my items. It's a no- brainer that for a contactless experience- Meijer is not the right choice. Shop and scan was really disappointing.

Meijer boast on their "perks" rewards but when at the register never accepts my rewards.. limits…read morethe # of receipts to put in manually/scan to 3.
