Seattle experienced a snowstorm a few days before my appointment. Went on the website to try to cancel my appointment since our car wasn't able to drive on the icy roads but it wasn't giving me a cancelation option. I missed my appointment but was CHARGED FULL PRICE. I spoke with her via text and she said I could have called to cancel since the website wasn't letting me. I get that some people charge a deposit fee or have people pay 1/2 price upfront to protect their time BUT charging full price is just a scam. I've had a Brazilian sugar 3 times before and numerous eye brow sugaring. I bought the Groupon for 1 Brazilian for $37 which is cheaper than my normal place where it's $75 for the first or $50 for the touch up if within 5 weeks of your last Brazilian. I walked in and it appeared to be clean and nice. The person at the front desk asked if I had a sugaring at 6pm I said yes and was led to the room. Ummm who are you? What's your name? No introduction. Odd but ok at least she was nice and friendly. I could go on and on about things but in all reality it just wasn't my normal experience. CONS: I had to almost jump to get on the table and I'm 5'7, I was on paper like at a doctor's office, the sugar paste was cold, and the lady was a little rough. She picked at hairs with her nail and tweezers. I've never had tweezers used before. At the end I noticed there was still hair left and along the bikini line which is where it should NOT be! That defeats the purpose of a Brazilian. PROS: The lady, whose name I still don't know, was VERY nice, wore gloves, and chatted to pass the time. All in all I doubt I'd go back. I'm married to my previous sugaring place and after today felt like I cheated on them. If this place works for you great but it's not my preferred spot. If this didn't work for you I would try Sugar Sugar or The Wax Bar. Good luck with your experience! UPDATE: It is now 24 hours after my Brazilian. I can honestly say I am very unhappy. I have been uncomfortably tender to the touch all day. So tender I took Advil hoping it'd help while I was at work today. I've NEVER had this experience before. It gets worse! There is more hair left than I thought. I'm going on vacation next week and I beyond annoyed that I have to shave on top of having to go through this experience. Wow! I am mega impressed. I had never had a facial, so I was a bit nervous as I entered the salon. Molly was really friendly and greeted me right away. She took me to the back room and I got all ready and tucked under the covers. I am usually FREEZING at stuff like this (massages, etc.), but this room was so cozy and warm - I loved it. Molly came in and explained what was happening during the facial process which helped me feel at ease throughout the entire thing. I loved chatting with her--she was very friendly and I enjoyed hearing about her time in New York and her other interests. I felt really connected to her and appreciated getting to know more about her. The products are wonderful! They are organic, they smell great, and she told me which products would be best for me and why. I particularly liked that she explained what each product did and the order in which I should apply it because I can't tell the difference between a toner and a serum, so her taking the time to explain/educate me was really valuable. My skin feels super soft. Part of me wants to caress it, but I have a feeling that isn't good for it (cleanliness-wise). The scheduling there was right on - she was ready for me and it was a smooth appointment. I was really, REALLY happy with my service and am thinking I need to add more facials into my routine. I bought 2 Travelzoo Voucher (one for me, one for my mother) for Honeysuckle Spa. When we arrived for my mother's appointment (on her birthday!!), the door was closed and when we tried calling a few times, there was no answer. A few weeks later, she e-mailed us and told us that she cancelled because our voucher had expired (this is after she told us it was okay to use it!) and she cancelled our appointment after she already confirmed it (after we arrived at the appointment!?). It shows her work ethic and poor professionalism. My mother was especially disappointed, because she was going to have the facial on her birthday. It's a one-woman shop, therefore it's incredibly difficult to get an appointment fits your schedule especially if you need it to be on a Saturday, without booking very far in advance. In Nov 2013, I had mine booked for a Saturday on 1/11, then it turns out that Seahawks are going to play the Saints that afternoon, therefore I needed to reschedule. But she was all booked for the month of January, and told me that I wouldn't be able to use the voucher since it had Jan '14 expiration date. I pleaded with her, she agreed to extend it into the following month but told me not to book on a Saturday. Working in Redmond makes it a challenge to get to Ballard during the week after work, I decided it was just too much work trying to get a facial from her, and ended up having to forfeit the travel zoo voucher I purchased. Christine was amazing. My massage was pure bliss. I usually don't fall asleep during massages but this was so relaxing I think I actually sawed a few logs. TeeHee. Christine was very thorough, asking very good questions. She paid great attention to my upper body, especially my chest because of some breathing issues I had been having. She is a true Gem! I can't wait for my next massage. Now on to Molly for my facial. This was my second time seeing Molly. Just like Christine, Molly was extremely detailed in our consultation. I am kinda a wimp when it comes to the extractions but they are sooooooo worth it. I've always had problematic skin, and she made me look and feel amazing. I just had my second facial with Molly and absolutely loved it. She's careful, conscientious, and thorough. Im only writting this review based on scheduling regarding MASSAGE. I purchased a massage on Groupon for a good deal. I even went on this web site and looked at the reviews and everything looked positive but I didnt look close enough because most of reviews were for sugaring etc and the gal that does the massage is different. All I wanted to let people know that she only works two days a week... Tuesday and Sunday. And Sundays must be for her regulars because they are booked at out at least two months in advanced. So if your purchasing a Groupon for a massage make sure you can make it there during the week. Another heads up is that you have to book your appointment on line. I cant say anyting negitive about services. Im sure she may do a great job but I guess I will never find out. That was money down the drain. read more

I've had a sugar treatment of my back today. It was my first time doing that at an actual spa and not at home. Molly was great - straight to the point, warned me that it may sting a bit because it's my first time, had me on her table and we started off. It did sting but really nothing intolerable, although my back isn't super hairy. She and I kept chatting which kept my mind off of pain and helped a lot too. She was done pretty quickly and my skin wasn't in flames afterwards. Wife was also really happy at home. I'm writing this review not because I'm a mean person or that I'm trying to hurt someone's small business. As a customer, I feel like others should know the experience I had here. I received a gift certificate from an auction for $50 back in 2012. I tried to use this certificate in 2013 or 2014 (can't remember exactly but there was no expiration date so what does it matter) Molly was always prompt in replying to me. We booked an appointment and then she cancelled on me and said she would reschedule. Well, she never rescheduled the appt. and I honestly forgot. I was cleaning out some stuff and came across the certificate again and remembered she never rescheduled so tried booking and she said she couldn't issue it and my appt I booked for next week would be cancelled. I do understand the fact the certificate is from 2012, BUT I would have thought since SHE cancelled on me and NEVER rescheduled that she would still issue it. The certificate was $50 and the service I booked was more than that too so she would still be getting some kind of compensation. We went back and forth a few times and she said she wanted to make me happy and that I could keep my appointment. Awkward much? I declined the offer. I think she should have just made her customer happy in the first place and not cancel the appt. I truly love supporting small businesses, but this one was a bit of a shocker to me. I have been a loyal client of Honeysuckle spa for a few years now, and I can't believe it's taken me so long to write a review. But after my last facial I was so pleased, that it finally occurred to me to write down some of my thoughts online to let everyone know about my experience. Over the years I have received a variety of services from Molly. Her sugaring skills are on point. It's relatively painless, quick and very thorough. But my favorite, favorite treat is to book a facial from her. The products she uses never make my super sensitive skin break out or cause me any discomfort. In fact my at home skin care routine consists of all products from Honeysuckle now! I always get compliments on my glowing complection after a service from Molly and can even skip out on make-up for a few days. Because I don't need any! In my opinion Honeysuckle is extremely affordable for the quality of service you get. Especially compared to other places I've been. My sisters, niece and mother-in-law have all been on the receiving end of gift certificates to Honeysuckle from me. It's almost expected now! One last tip: I have now started buy skin care packages because I know I'll use them, and buying a series of services make it even more affordable for me.
