I have tried multiple services at this spa: sugaring, lash tinting, and facials. The owner, Mary Jo, is the best she genuinely cares so much about each customer's individual skin concerns. I regularly come in for multiple services but my favorite one is the age defying micro current facial. I have noticed a big difference in my skin's texture and radiance. By getting regular facials I no longer feel the need to wear foundation and people are constantly complimenting my skin! Mary Jo will work with you to customize your facial depending on your concerns-- which I love! She is always putting her customer's needs as the #1 priority. My nerves were immediately soothed once I stepped into the spa. Mary Jo's vibe is so balancing. The soothing energy of her spa is wonderful. I left my concerns and ToDos of the day behind. It was time for me to relax, unwind, and for my skin to get some much needed TLC. The spa I use to go to closed down during the Covid pandemic. I'm a believer in taking care of my skin and according to Mary Jo, it shows. I was intrigued by her Intelligent Nutrients skincare line, which is truly a clean & effective line (no green washing). Pure Skin Spa is the only place I found that carries it. Mary Jo's facials are soothing and restorative. She does a FABULOOUS massage. I left floating out the door with my skin glowing. I highly recommend Mary Jo. UPDATE: Within hours after my facial, my skin broke out in hives under my Right eye and under my lower lip, chin. Within 2 days, I had a cold sore outbreak on my upper lip. I emailed Mary Jo. It's been 7 days and no response. I'm disappointed. I also realized that, unfortunately, Mary Jo did not do a client intake form nor ask me any questions about allergies, medications to determine contraindications. I will not be returning. read more

Pure Skin Spa is such a beautiful, relaxing environment and Mary Jo is so friendly and caring. I came for a brow and lash tint and was very happy with how they turned out. Mary Jo listened carefully to my preferences and executed them perfectly. I've had my brows and lashes tinted multiple times before at other locations and, at those locations, it was a much more uncomfortable experience and my brows were rarely the color I really wanted. It's been years since I had anyone care for my skin and Mary Jo did amazing work. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable her table was - wow. The next thing I noticed is how gentle her touch is. Not gentle as in she isn't really touching you, but gentle as in you feel really cared for. Honestly I was really nervous at first. It was my first bikini sugaring and massage, but Mary Jo was really awesome and she has a very calming presence. Can't say enough good things about Mary Jo and Pure Skin Spa! I first stumbled upon this spa when I was in desperate need of sugaring before a vacation (back in the Summer of 2018) and the place that I usually visited was completed booked. This spa turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! First, the setting is clean, relaxing, and cozy as many people have already mentioned. Mary Jo's calming presence put me at ease immediately and I felt like I was talking to a longtime friend, even though we had just met. Mary Jo is so detail-oriented and has a gentle touch. I've had sugaring done at around 5-8 different spas in Seattle and I can say that this was the BEST, most pleasant experience that I have ever had - hands down. Since my first experience at Pure Skin Spa, I also recently went for my first facial today with Mary Jo because I have been dealing with some congested skin/breakouts. I was beyond impressed with every aspect of my experience! The treatment room that I was in had a heated table, warm blankets, and a beautiful view of the private garden. The facial itself was gentle, yet effective and left my skin glowing! After my treatment, I wanted to discuss with Mary Jo my current skincare regimen and any suggestions that she may have. We talked for about 15 min after my treatment (there wasn't another client directly after me) and I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. As someone who really cares that my skincare routine is both safe and effective, Mary Jo's knowledge about skincare is extremely impressive. Furthermore, the product lines that she carries are certified organic, natural, and really work! It's rare to find someone so knowledgeable and passionate about all things skincare.
