No what I was looking for... $20.00 for a sample bowl of Poke. I was very confused to when I enter, Food was hidden in the back. And she handed me the food when it was completed in a tiny bowl . ‍ I love to support small businesses, but I will not go back.

They replaced real crab with fake crab, charged me for real crab anyways. They also gave me a pathetic amount of fish
    Stefanie D.

I ordered through Postmates and when the food arrived the driver told me that they replaced the real crab with fake crab and that they told him to tell me to check their website for the most up-to-date menu. It is YOUR responsibility to update your postmates menu if you no longer offer an item, particularly an item that I paid more for. They did not adjust the total and charged me for the real crab anyways and the fake crab that they replaced it with tastes disgusting. If I had known you didn't have real crab I would've picked an entirely different protein. Order elsewhere, you won't be impressed.

Excellent ramen bowl- the broth is perfect and chicken tender.

Because of the yummy ramen bowl it deserves another star . Perfect broth, the chicken is soft too. Def. coming back. I saw the advertisement in the window and had to give it another go. They serve boba too. $12.45 for the bowl- decent size. You can also get a tofu or shrimp options for the ramen bowls.

    Regular poke for $17

I get that times are hard with Covid, but I just paid $17 for a poke bowl that is the tiniest poke bowl I've ever seen (see photo). There's hardly ANY fish and there's a bitter flavor. I will never ever come back here for that price. The photo shows there's hardly and ingredients and it's mostly rice. If I was eating there and didn't take it home, I'd demand a refund.

5 protein bowl. Spicy tuna, crab meat, marinated tuna and seaweed salad. Delish!

I wanted a spicy tuna burrito or bowl for dinner and went to a different location, as usual they were out of spicy tuna, so I walked around the corner to this place. I had been here before but it has been awhile. My daughter was greeted with a smile by Natalia. She was super friendly and sweet. With a smile she said we have spicy tuna. I was super excited. She wanted us to be happy with our bowls and to know the quality of the food here. You have options of bowls with 4 proteins $13.95 or 5 $14.95. Good sides and yummy salad options. We both opted for 5 proteins. Fish is fresh and she made my daughters marinated tuna right in front of us. It's plenty of food, we both left happy. She explained about the desert options and we had to try the 2 she had. Soft bun with custard filling YUM, and Taiyaki- pancake filled with red bean filling, shaped like a fish. Cute! Soo delicious. Neither were too sweet. We will definitely be back and try the Ramen based on other posts. I posted a picture of my daughters bowl and forgot to post a pic of the desert before we ate it.

Very disappointed on the protein serving size and picking the toppings. It's not worth $18 for the bowl. It's too pricey. First and last time I'm coming to this place. I've been to other places where I paid $16 for a bowl that serve enough protein, toppings and the dried toppings.

Good amount of protein. I see people complaining about the size, but I think it's the right amount. It comes down to the other toppings you choose. Food was fresh and delicious. I also had the dessert custard bao. The bun itself wasn't too sweet. Speaking of which, the Thai Boba beverage was also not sweet like most places. This is coming from someone who loves pastries and their tea bitter as wormwood. This is one of my favorite spots for poke out here in TO. My next favorite is the gelson's poke. I've seen other reviews on here and can attest that the experience I had demonstrated a shift towards the right direction.

Eating poke in my car because they don't have tables... The yellowtail is still frozen..
    Michael A.

It pains me to do this to a poke restaurant, which is my favorite kind of food and something that I eat religiously, but 2-2.5 stars is kind of where I'm at with this place. Maybe they deserve a second chance in a few months when they're more established, but nothing really stands out to me about this place, really. Came here today for lunch in hopes of finding a new go-to spot to enjoy poke for lunch. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was that there weren't any tables or chairs to eat at. Well, that's fine, I can eat in my car just as well. Next, the menu. Being that I live in studio city, I've been to my fair share of poke places, and I'm a regular at quite a few. What first disappointed me was the extra $1 charge for crab meat. This is an included (free) add-on at every poke establishment I've been to. Not too big of a deal, but definitely a slight disappointment. The prices here are standard, with a large bowl being $12.50. No major complaints in this department. My order: I ordered a large bowl (4 scoops of fish) with white rice as my base. For my proteins, I ordered 2 scoops of tuna, 1 scoop of albacore, and 1 scoop of yellowtail. For toppings/add-ons, I ordered edamame, cucumber, seaweed salad, and masago. I was ready to enjoy my meal. The quantity: Below average on all levels. Compared to a sushi restaurant, yes this place is cheap for the quantity. But, this is a poke place, and the scoops of fish were far from generous, especially in comparison to other poke shops in the valley. The amount of seaweed salad and other toppings tended to be on the skimpy side, as well, with exception to the masago. The taste/quality: The white rice was on point - 5 stars. The tuna and albacore: Standard - no complaints - 4 stars. The yellowtail: 1-2 stars. The yellowtail is what really ruined my meal today. It came frozen and inedible. I think I got freezer burn on the roof of my mouth from it, and was unable to finish it. The service: No complaints. The workers here were nice and friendly, and the line moved quickly and efficiently. The ambiance: Non-existent. I guess the floor was pretty cool/nice, however, the restaurant is basically just one big open space. No place to sit and enjoy. All in all, I'm happy the Ventura County is starting to get some poke restaurants. While this is a good start, this restaurant has a lot of work to do in terms of improvement. I know they just opened, and are probably still working out the kinks, but I don't think it's a good idea to open a restaurant before it's ready. I probably won't be back to this location in a Long time. For those looking for a great poke experience, try Poke Bar in Studio City. It's my favorite.

Drove all the way here to find out they are closed, despite the hours on Yelp and on their door saying otherwise.

There were a couple of people before us so that gave us time to look at the menu. Our go to is the large 4 fish ($21) which was enough for my husband and I to share. The service was good and fish/toppings plentiful. The employee was patient when we asked for almost all the toppings. Love the lemon cream! The crispy onion is what keeps us coming back--a must!! The ambience is simple but clean. We ate there and could easily have a conversation. They provide iced water in a dispenser. Bathroom was clean. Parking can be tough which is a hindrance for us, but today we found a spot easily. When we left, the parking lot was bustling. We really enjoyed our poke bowl! The fish was fresh. We got salmon x2, scallops, and shrimp. For our sides, seaweed salad and crabmeat. Base was half kale/half brown rice. Almost all the toppings. We got the garlic ponzu with spicy mayo in one corner. Eel sauce was drizzled all over which I didn't prefer, but it tasted good in the end. Our tummies were happy and satisfied!

The the woman putting my bowl together was super stingy on the base. She spread out the salad so it was literally a handful of salad. I asked for more greens and she said she would have to charge me for that. The price gouging is a little out of control now. For $21, I shouldn't have to go home and add salad to my bowl. I go mostly to the studio city location, so I'll probably route myself to that one in the future! The poke is fresh and I like the diversity of toppings you get here.

At the time the dining room was sparsely populated, only a few other tables were seated. We were seated quickly by the hostess and ordered within a few minutes of sitting down; my wife ordered the seafood pasta I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the tomato burrata salad as an appetizer. After about 20 minutes the waitress returned to let us know that they were out of the pasta, so my wife asked for the risotto instead. The salad arrived quickly, however my wife noted that it was missing grilled peaches that were listed in the menu description, a disappointment. The salad itself was balsamic dressed cherry tomatoes with a single piece of burrata on top. Another 40 minutes later our entrees finally arrived. Much to my dismay my dish lacked any appreciable character; it was as if they had cooked six month old frozen pasta and thrown up a brown sauce with fried sage on top. My wife's risotto was mostly cheese but was also similarly devoid of other flavors. Now to be fair to the folks here, I did mention to the waitstaff that the flavors in the food were off and they did reduce the bill. They were also apologetic about the wait we faced. Nevertheless, restaurants have three things they need to do well in order to be successful: food, service and ambience. Perhaps if they improved the quality of the food and the time to service more people would come. Needless to say, but I won't be returning.

I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!
