The portion size is generous, the ingredients are clearly high quality, and you truly get your money's worth. The atmosphere is modern, bright, and welcoming, making it a great place to grab a relaxed meal or take something healthy on the go. shoutout to Tyler for being nice and informative about each ingredients.

Build Your Own B.Y.O.B. - Vegetable Poke Bowl. Where is the rice I asked for? Unfortunately he put way too much chili oil.

RATING: I generously gave Sweetfin 3 stars because there are healthy options, especially for people who are gluten free or vegan and I like that. The one thing I absolutely love here are the Taro Chips. I could eat 5 bags. The lack of friendly customer service, sanitary issues, incorrect orders, and ingredients that don't taste fresh or ripe, took 2 stars away. FOOD: I have ordered the Veggie Poke BYOB here a few times, however, each time I have received my bowls, they were incorrect or had rock hard mango, overripe avocado, or missing ingredients. The bowls still tasted pretty good and the Taro chips are my favorite. Sadly, they are extremely overpriced for the amount you get. MY LAST VISIT: I received an app credit for a previous experience I had for an incorrect order. I went to use my credit a couple of weeks ago. When I walked in there were two young guys working and two customers. The employees looked at me without saying hello or greeting me. It makes for an awkward experience immediately, because it's such a tiny place, and I'm a fan of friendly customer service. The guy who helped me tended to the dirty register then went directly to make my bowl. As he scooped things, he held his dirty glove under the spoon with drainage holes in it and was literally touching my food. He added half of a half of a tiny avocado to my Large Bowl. When I arrived home I noticed he forgot my white rice. I asked for chili oil on my bowl, but he must have poured about a 1/4 cup in there. END RESULT: I probably won't be coming here again after my experiences. I will however swing by for their Taro Chips on occasion.

Build your own bowl with yellow tail, salmon, seaweed salad, veggies, and black rice. Delish.

The food was fresh and delicious! Good poke. The server was not very friendly, which is the reason for the 4 instead of 5, unfortunately. I got the half yellowtail, half salmon poke bowl. All of the fish and ingredients tasted super fresh and were very yummy. Their lime ponzu sauce was especially tasty. The kept/seaweed salad topping was also one of my favorites.

I enjoyed my poke here! They provide a unique twist on poke - it's not like the typical shops. They have examples of bowls to order or you can make your own. I opted to make my own and really enjoyed it. I did half white rice and half black. The white was a mushier consistency and the black was chewy. I thought they complemented each other well. The fish was fresh as were the toppings. My husband was not a fan of this place and preferred the more typical white rice and salad they have at other poke spots. The service was mediocre. L Overall, I liked my bowl and I would go back... my husband not so much.

I hate to do this review because the employee was so nice. The food is not good!! I did a build your own salmon bowl with the bamboo rice, salmon, spicy mayo, ponzu sauce, cucumber, edamame and some other toppings. The bamboo rice was mushy and some hard bites like if the rice was not cooked all the way, and the salmon was OK. The other ingredients tasted a little stale like the edamame was too crunchy. Everything was kind of just flavorless. My husband ordered a chicken bowl and the chicken tasted like it was pre-cooked frozen chicken. He tried eating it, but it was horrible. He asked them for his money back because he does not eat raw fish. they did not know how to do that and the manager was not there. So he gave them a bowl back , and it was put in the trash. They did offer to make him something else, but again there was really nothing else for him to eat there. They said they were both new and their manager was not there so they were not sure how to handle the situation. Again, the service was good, but unfortunately, the food is just not there. Maybe try regular white rice, that bamboo rice was just the wrong texture.

I recently tried a poke bowl that completely exceeded my expectations. The base was fresh and vibrant, with perfectly seasoned sushi rice that held its texture without becoming too sticky. The star of the bowl--fresh ahi tuna--was incredibly tender, clean-tasting, and portioned generously. And the guy Tyler who help us is very nice and very welcoming.

I really didn't want to write this review, but I feel like I have to warn people about what happened to me here. I ordered a bowl and halfway through eating, I found a big screw inside my food (picture attached). This isn't just a small mistake -- it's an extreme health and safety hazard. I am diabetic, and I had already taken my medicine expecting to eat. If I had accidentally swallowed that screw, it could have caused serious damage and landed me in the hospital. When I brought it up, the situation was handled in a very unprofessional way. There was no genuine concern, no real apology, and no sense of accountability from the owner. For something this dangerous, you would expect the highest level of professionalism, but instead, it felt brushed off. This was disturbing, unacceptable, and dangerous. I don't usually write negative reviews, but in this case I feel it's important to let others know. This is not just about bad service -- it's about basic food safety.

Yuzu Salmon Poke Bowl with albacore
    Megan A.

Very hit or miss. I've been here 3 times and 2/3 the salmon was soooo fishy, like inedible fishy and I'm not picky with my poke either. I always get the salmon yuzu bowl with albacore added so same bowl 3 X but the one time it was not fishy it was freakin delicious soooo if you catch them on a good day I'd 10/10 recommend but boy if it's a bad day .. yikeyz. Also, not nearly enough protein - even when you add extra scoops which is a big bummer. The staff is always nice here and it's in great location in the Westlake promenade, cute little spot. Will be back, but will probably only get albacore since the salmon is too riskay :D

Service was great. Fresh options I almost couldn't decide which one I wanted so I built my own. All ingredients looked bomb ! I'll be back. Tyler was running the show and totally helped me out with his favorites . Tasted amazing

I really like Sweetfin poke in Westlake. I've been here twice now and both times were great. I first found this spot when they hosted a yelp event here to allow local yelpers to try their signature bowls. I loved that experience so much I came back this week. Happy to say the delicious poke and friendly service is consistent. Sweetfin is slightly tucked away in this large shopping center but if you head towards the Barnes and Nobles bookstore then you'll find it no problem. There is plenty of parking so getting in and out for a to go bowl of poke is easy. The establishment itself is small inside but perfect for navigating a quick order and taking your poke to go. There are a few tables outside to dine which is nice but both times I took my poke home. Inside the business is very clean and they keep it nice and cool. Refreshing to step inside here on a hot summer day. The menu board is pretty big and clear, easy to follow. As I mentioned earlier the staff are really nice here. Friendly and they listening attentively to your order to help you pack a fresh and perfect poke bowl. They get you in and out quick but don't make you feel rushed. The quality of the fish and ingredients here are premium. I prefer this place for the quality but I guess in theory there are cheaper spots around with slightly bigger portions but for someone like we who is a poke addict, I'm getting more picky and wanting fresher ingredients that this spot always is a win. Also pricing is average, not bad. I usually can walk our spending about $15 for a regular bowl. I'm in love with their signature ahi tuna bowl. It's the freshness of the fish, the crunch from the bean sprouts and seaweed salad that make this a yummy dish. Avocado is served generously in this bowl and the sauce that comes on the signature ahi is so tasty, I always get a bit extra. 5/5 for the poke here and I'm happy to find a place that really showcases its ingredients. Only upgrade I would suggest is more drink options? I came on a Monday for an early dinner. They only had boxed water and two seltzer soda water type cans. Would be nice for a little more variety but not a deal breaker, just an observation. Love me some Sweetfin and can't wait to come back!

    Truffled Yuzu Albacore Poke Bowl

I've been to the Promenade many times but have somehow never made it here. But I was super excited to finally make a trip out and try this delicious poke restaurant. I tried the Truffled Yuzu Albacore bowl. Super excited because it had some of my favorites - truffle, mushrooms, and albacore. I picked the Citrus Kale Salad as the base. Incredible! It was light and refreshing, the fish was super fresh, and the kale salad was the perfect compliment to tie it all together. Can't wait to come back to both have it again and try more of their menu! There's a wonderful outdoor seating area right in front that, with good weather, is perfect for eating. And doggos can be in the outdoor area, so it's great to bring your furry friend. Right now they have some construction going on in front of the restaurant, but they're still open behind it and worth the stop!

Yuzu salmon bowl (with citrus kale)
    Karen L.

As much as I'd like to give this place some grace for being new, it's no joke with the longer wait for food. The staff is great, but unfortunately understaffed with the amount of orders they're juggling across food delivery, online orders, and in-person orders. There were only two ladies working front of house and one customer said she'd been waiting for 30mins for an online order she placed. So for a fast casual place, it's definitely not fast unfortunately. And there were only three guests ahead of me and it felt like I was there for probably 20mins. Took a star off for that. The food itself is fresh and very customizable. I enjoyed the savory ponzu sauce for my salmon bowl that I ordered with a citrus kale base. It's meant to be grab and go, as there's no indoor seating. There are quite a few tables outside with umbrellas that are shared among the businesses. No restrooms around nearby as far as I could find, but you could probably visit one of the markets in the plaza.

I liked her so much that I was really contemplating what amount of stars to give because I feel like when you meet someone nice who works at an establishment, I try really hard to give a good amount of stars... but then the more I thought about it, I really don't want to be misleading. There can be nice people who work at establishments and that still doesn't mean it will be enough to keep you coming back. That's where I finally fell when assessing how many stars to give. I can't give more then two. 5 stars for the friendly employee but 2 stars for the atmosphere, price, and meal. Found Honeyfish by accident as I was ordering some boba teas next door. I love poke so was excited to grab a bite to eat here. From the outside it looked like a typical poke restaurant but as soon as I opened the door I felt confused. It was relatively dark inside. Not warm and inviting but rather looked like a shop closing up for the day. Had it not been for the friendly women sitting behind the counter who greeted me I probably would have turned around. This establishment is still operating like many did during the pandemic, all of the tables were pushed in front of the poke counter and off to the side of the restaurant with no chairs. I wish the signage outside was more clear that it was "to go only" or else I wouldn't have stopped in here. I had to travel about an hour back to my office and wasn't planning on hauling poke that long but couldn't turn around to leave. I saw other reviews that are disappointed that you can't eat there and/or at minimum that they aren't putting tables outside or just a few tables socially distanced inside. I had the same issue upon seeing that they serve ramen here. It may just be me but I feel like both poke and ramen are dishes that taste best when eaten fresh, in the moment, not shlepped around town. Opted that the ramen would be a no go and went with the poke. The menu was straightforward but I was surprised at the prices. The prices seemed high in comparison to my regular poke joints. I opted for a regular poke bowl which after tax ran me $20! The regular bowl here is about a small at my normal spot but costing me the price of a large. The ratios of the fish were smaller then I expected for the hefty price. The women was sweet and we talked about expenses of product (not that I complained but we were just chatting about business) which I guess was her way of justifying the prices for smaller portions as others had clearly complained in the past. I didn't say anything and remained polite. What did bum me out is that even with the small portions of fish I felt skimped In every category. Avocado is $1 more, seaweed salad $1 more etc etc. Even the "regular" veggies toppings I was told I could "only pick two." What business model is this? I have never been to a poke spot were there was a limit on regular filler items. And if there had to be a limit maybe I could understand but for $20 how are you telling me aside from the rice, fish, and sauce I can only pick two things? So strange. I went with fried onion and cucumber, leaving out my other 5 ingredients I would normally be able to get elsewhere. Also, you don't get the traditional poke building experience here. Despite there being a counter where the ingredients are normally held, the woman had to go to the back and bring items out to make my bowl. I found that a little peculiar. I guess on a positive note she cut the cucumber and avocado for my bowl Fresh. That's definitely a plus BUT it's a little more time consuming so you do have to wait, and like other reviews noted - If there is more then one customer then you could end up waiting awhile for items being prepped and cut. At least it gives the Appeal of "freshness." Plus the woman took clear pride in crafting your poke bowl which was nice. She was a doll and I wish I liked the overall theme of Honeyfish more to come back but good service isn't enough. The atmosphere isn't welcoming and the prices aren't reasonable in comparison to other competitors nearby. Lastly, how was the poke you ask? Mediocre. It was fine. I ate it but didn't thoroughly enjoy it. And of course as I was 75% done I finally hit a piece of salmon with some bone accidentally left in it. I've never had that happen at my local poke spots and this sealed the deal for me. Hopefully the owner is receptive to feedback as I read a lot of the same complaints after the fact. When you have a lot of people making the same critiques I would imagine it's worth a listen. I wish I would have checked this spot out on Yelp before going. Seems like pre pandemic reviews were good but lately not so much.

At the time the dining room was sparsely populated, only a few other tables were seated. We were seated quickly by the hostess and ordered within a few minutes of sitting down; my wife ordered the seafood pasta I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the tomato burrata salad as an appetizer. After about 20 minutes the waitress returned to let us know that they were out of the pasta, so my wife asked for the risotto instead. The salad arrived quickly, however my wife noted that it was missing grilled peaches that were listed in the menu description, a disappointment. The salad itself was balsamic dressed cherry tomatoes with a single piece of burrata on top. Another 40 minutes later our entrees finally arrived. Much to my dismay my dish lacked any appreciable character; it was as if they had cooked six month old frozen pasta and thrown up a brown sauce with fried sage on top. My wife's risotto was mostly cheese but was also similarly devoid of other flavors. Now to be fair to the folks here, I did mention to the waitstaff that the flavors in the food were off and they did reduce the bill. They were also apologetic about the wait we faced. Nevertheless, restaurants have three things they need to do well in order to be successful: food, service and ambience. Perhaps if they improved the quality of the food and the time to service more people would come. Needless to say, but I won't be returning.

I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!
