Chana instantly knew what my fine bob needed! She was really good at listening & talking me through her technique and I am beyond impressed with her skill & the results! A bit about my hair; it's fine but there is lots of it. So much so that stylists often try to thin it out. This ends up looking terrible, as my hair is very straight and all the layers show in a really obvious way, or worse, flip outward. Best practice is to cut it bluntly and slightly undercut so that the hair falls into that timeless bob silhouette. It's been 7 weeks and still looks great - that a big deal for short hair! This is a wonderful little salon. It's hip and happening, but also warm and welcoming. I've gotten cuts from Jone and Chana. Their styles are different and both are great. My hair is very fine, so every cut shows and they get it. I've gotten great local referrals for facials for the 40 and above set, yoga for my "special" back, hula classes for the less coordinated...! Jone was so accommodating to my last minute hair cut request. I called her at 4:30PM and asked to come in at 5:30PM. This was my first time here. The shop is small but SO ADORABLE. I wish my apartment looked as stylish - seriously! My hair cut was great, it was flirty with tons of volume. The products she used smelled amazing and her little pooch was again, ADORABLE. I went to Jone to help me try and fix a terrible bleach job that fried the outer layer of my hair so bad that I was afraid I'd need a pixie cut to grow it out. She was able to artfully cut it to disguise the damage and gave it a nice trim so it looks more intentional and polished. It's decorated beautifully, the chairs are comfortable, there's always good music playing in the background, and there's a choice of snacks and drinks while you wait. I see Jone, and she is truly a rock star stylist. She's worked at very high end salons, and she's done styling for the entertainment industry. But her prices are extremely reasonable for the level of experience, skill and detail she brings to the table. I sport dark hair with bright colored highlights look--and the color she uses is more vibrant than I've had anywhere else. I get compliments on my hair from the day she does it until many weeks later, because she's figured out a style that looks great with less maintenance.
