The food was great! Huge portions and for me and Grammie they split the country omelette and got our pancakes with lemon and blue berry and like a dessert. So much we didn't even get half way thru. My daughter got Tuna melt panini and it was stuffed. Bubby got a skillet with all veggies and meats and it was great he said broccoli in it too. Definitely returning to try other dishes. The service was on point and the waitress lets you know about upcharges etc. Our server Karen was the bomb!! So on point even when they were slammed and so thoughtful! The restaurant looks great, great A/c welcome on a hot day. Comfortable booths and very clean read more

Stopped by Honey Jam Cafe during a casual morning out and had a really pleasant experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it an easy choice for a laid-back breakfast or brunch. The food was comforting and well done--the s'mores pancake was indulgent without being overwhelming, and the veggie burrito wrap was filling and satisfying. Coffee was simple and solid, exactly what you want with breakfast. What stood out just as much as the food was the service--friendly, attentive, and efficient. Everything felt easy and unhurried. Overall, a great vegetarian-friendly breakfast option in Plainfield that's affordable and enjoyable. Would happily come back. read more

Was overpriced for the food quality me and my boyfriend received. Service was eh, we were barely acknowledged and felt very rushed out of there. Cannot express how expensive it was, definitely overpriced. Still tasted good tho! read more

We had lunch at Honey Jam Cafe in Plainfield and I have to say the food was very good, the atmosphere friendly, and the wait staff attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

The service was fast for a it being moderately busy. Everyone's food was tasty and up to par. It was nice to be able to enjoy your food and chat. A couple of friends had some mimosas and it had a good alcohol - juice ratio ( more of the alcohol, less of the juice). If I were in the area for the breakfast time, I'd go back. read more

Firstly, the restaurant is cozy, welcoming and friendly. The staff is very polite and fast! I got the veggie skillet and it was AMAZING. I feel very happy about the dish I got. I need to make a very special announcement and say, from when we ordered to receiving the food, only took about 5 minutes !!! So not only was it very fast, the products themselves were amazing. Definitely coming back! read more

We had a group of 6, and we were welcomed and seated right away. The restaurant was very clean, and had cute holiday decorations. Through out the dining experience I noticed that all of the workers help each other, so we never had empty plates cups sitting on the table, and they all helped with Togo packaging. I loved the service, that alone would keep me coming back. The monkey bread was very light and fluffy, and was a very large portion. I only wish there was more of the gooey filling. The country Benedict was delicious. The poached eggs were cooked just the way they should be, the gravy had a lot of flavor, and the sausage also had great flavor, I would have preferred the biscuit to be a little less baked. I requested the hash browns to be more crispy because that's the way I like them, but some brows just don't cook that way. read more

FIRST TIME here and already a bad experience is crazy! First we haven't even sat down and the HOST tells us make sure my baby's iPad isn't loud. Like what? I've never had a host at ANY RESTAURANT tell us that. We're not stupid we obviously wouldn't have high volume at a restaurant but to assume my child and his iPad are going to be loud is beyond me. SECOND THE WAITER GRISELDA A , takes our order first thing we order is drinks, husband orders coffee I order a guava lemonade and we order food after. FOOD COMES BEFORE THE DRINKS, husband asks waiter are our drinks coming she says "oh yeah" comes back ONLY with the guava lemonade and proceeds to say she only had one drink in our order. I said "no he ordered two drinks a COFFEE AND A GUAVA LEMONADE. Husband tells her "forget it didn't want it anymore he was more than half way done with food" she says okay and walks away, didn't even ask if we needed anything else. Mind you we never even got napkins. Funny thing is she got every other person in that restaurant their drinks before their food. This lady never even apologized for her horrible service! BE BETTER GRISELDA!! Shoutout to the manager for getting us napkins and apologizing. read more

2 of our 3 orders were messed up. My daughter has mild autism and she is an extremely picky eater. She asked for her pancakes with only chocolate chips and not white chocolate chips and the waitress acknowledged it but, of course they came with both and we had to send it back. I had the crepes with fresh blackberries but my order arrived without the berries. Instead of just getting a side bowl of them the waitress grabbed my plate and wanted to take the whole thing away. I grabbed it back and said just bring me the berries. She looked very confused. I never got offered a refill on my 1 cup of coffee. When we finally got the food right, I would say the food tasted fine but I think it was on the expensive side especially considering the service we got. I can get a less expensive breakfast with better service elsewhere. read more

Very good food! Have been going there for a couple of years and have not received any bad food or service!

Been to the Bolingbrook and Downers Grove location and this one is similar to those. I used to love the restaurant that was here before. It was a Saturday morning and I wanted a boozy brunch. They offer mimosas so I decided to check this Plainfield location. We were seated immediately. We had enough time to look over the menu and our server came. She was very friendly and pleasant. I ordered a corn beef hash skillet with pancakes and my son had the meat lovers skillet. Both skillets were good but the strawberry mimosas were even better There is nothing special about this place but it's good for a breakfast. I'll be back for the mimosas. read more

Our last few visits service and food quality have deteriorated. This morning was our last attempt. While we were sat quickly, coffee was burnt. Our food came extremely quickly-not even sure how the waitress had time to put the order in. While typically that's a benefit, our food was cold and stale. Clearly had been sitting under a warmer. No water or coffee refills and no check ins. Heading down the street in the future! read more

Delish!!! I ordered the avocado toast and a vanilla latte and both were 5/5. We got sat right away. The service was good. The music was also a vibe, we loved the old Justin Bieber. Definitely would recommend read more

This was our first visit to honey Jam Café. The service was outstanding as well as our server. The ambience was cheerful and clean. Very well organized, this was first visit and Cassandra was wonderful. She explained and described the dishes served and we chose based on her recommendations. My husband had waffles and chicken, which was delicious and I had smoked salmon which was delicious as well. The coffee was great. We both talked about how nice it was to go somewhere and have such a pleasant and attentive service. The manager stopped by to make sure everything was satisfactory, which is something we don't see a lot I didn't realize today was Mexican Mother's Day so the café was busy, but they were able to move people in and out efficiently if you're looking for a place for breakfast or lunch Try this place it's well worth stopping in read more

We went here this morning for our 28th wedding anniversary brunch. They sat us next to the dish washing station and 10 minutes later, we still hadn't had any service. No water, coffee, acknowledgement, nothing. They weren't even busy. So we left and went down the street to Maple Butter. Maple Butter was great. I'm so happy we left that rude Honey Jam place. read more

I'm a big lover of honey jam, I was a frequent customer to the Bolingbrook location when we lived there. I was so excited to see a honey jam open near me, but was disappointed in the difference of service between the two. I know we're in a time when we have to have a bit more grace, but the difference btw the two locations is night in day. We rarely saw our server, not even at other tables! She just wasn't around on the floor. So that's why I'm giving 3 stars. The food is is good though. So if you are in search for breakfast food it is a 3/4 star option. Their pancakes are delicious. read more

First off check your bill for accuracy before checking out. They try to sneak items on that were never ordered. Example: charging for coffee refills and extra sauce that were not ordered. We were barely checked on and the check was delivered but not offered boxes for left overs we had to wait 10 mins to flag our waitress down to get a box. We think she was avoiding our table bc she was scamming us. Getting the bill fixed took forever. As for the food my child's chicken meal was cold. We were never offered refills and the kids chicken meals didn't come with a sauce not even ketchup on the table. I was charged a dollar for a tiny cup of ranch. I will not be returning and don't recommend. I would not recommend read more

I used to love honey jam but the food quality has changed quite a bit. I went last weekend after probably about six months and was not happy with my food. I had ordered the avocado toast and paid extra to have the add ons (salmon capers cucumbers and red onions) - when my order came out it was missing capers cucumbers red onions and ricotta cheese which is part of the basic avocado toast accord to the menu. The tomato slices were massive to the point that's all you tasted and the avocado did not taste fresh. After pointing out the missing items they were brought out in a separate bowl after waiting about 10 minutes. We had ordered biscuits for the table and I used to LOVE their biscuits but they were small and dry this time. Service wasn't the best either - we asked for a table that could accommodate a high chair or booster for my friends baby and they put us at a very tiny crammed table where the food barely fit. When checking out the lady at the register was struggling to divide the check three ways and it took much longer than it should have. Honey jam dropped the ball this time, probably wouldn't go back at least to this location read more

I went in for breakfast at Honey Jam and had an ok experience. The food was delicious as usual and the orange juice tasted freshly squeezed as advertised. The service was mediocre at best. The waitress, an older Hispanic lady; seemed annoyed and gave attitude for asking for extra napkins and coffee. The waitress seemed to find her breakfast with another employee more important than giving us the bare minimum to enjoy our breakfast. I've usually had wonderful experiences at this Honey Jam location and others, however this time they really dropped the ball. read more

If you've been to the honey jam in Bolingbrook, you maybe disappointed with the one in Plainfield. Our waitress was super sweet and patient, but the food itself was mediocre.
