Carla and team at Honey Crumb have made 4 very unique and incredible birthday cakes over the years. Every time we have approached them with an idea or a photo, and they have bought the design to life. They are not just about the 'look' of the cake, which can be a trap with style cakes. The flavors are delicious, the cake layers light and moist, and perfectly balanced. It has always been clear to us that Carla has a wonderful relationship with her talented team. They take so much pride in their work. Every time we have come to pick up our cake, the love and pride for their creations is palpable. Carla has been very professional and a wonderful business woman to work with year after year. I cannot speak highly enough for her artisan cakes, her team, and business.

Honey crumb cake studio is the BEST OF THE BEST!!! I hired them for my wedding and the whole process was professional, seamless, and extremely enjoyable. Planning a wedding is hard, and picking a cake should be exciting and fun. With honey crumb, it was just that. I got to fully design my cake with Carla, and it was everything I could have imagined. I still dream about the London fog flavor to this day. Delivery of the cake, day of, was so easy, it wasn't even on my radar (which is exactly what you want as a bride). I could trust Carla and her team to show up, & effortlessly set up the cake to perfection. She was also so extremely knowledgeable about how flowers and cake don't often mix. Instead we opted for her to make custom sugar flowers to match our vision. She KNOCKED IT OUTTA THE PARK! I swear these flowers were the most gorgeous sugar flowers I have ever seen. To say they were beautiful, would be an understatement. She knows what she's doing. Trust her expertise. Also I suggest following honey crumb on the socials. They sometimes host little fun classes, and have flash sales on extra cakes for local pickup. & they are always posting their recent cakes there. I always gawk over how stunning and truly brilliant they are!!! Overall, Carla, keep doing what you're doing! You've gained a forever fan/client/rave reviewer.

Carla and her team are nothing less than extraordinary! We had the absolute privilege of working with Honey Crumb for our wedding and people STILL talk about the cakes (yes, even six years later!). Not only are the cakes thoughtfully curated in terms of flavor combinations, they are masterfully created to coordinate seamlessly with your event. They are true works or art in every sense of the word! Additionally, we have indulged in several additional cakes over the years, from the very early 'Quarantine mini cakes' of early April 2020, to a cake to celebrate our dog's birthday (we needed a human grade version for ourselves, ya know?), to even having my husband drive our second anniversary cake from Seattle to Scottsdale where we lived ... because Carla. The best people creating the best cakes is a winning combo!

happy anniversary to us! we're celebrating our 1 year on the 21st and I have yet to forget about the amazing cake Carla and her team created for our elopement. Everyone loved the flavor and couldn't get over the artistry of the sugar flower which happened to be my favorite, the Peony. We had a humble wedding with robust flavor. Thank you for helping to make our day so memorable

    Wedding cake, February 2018

We discovered Honey Crumb Bakery back in 2018 when we were wedding planning. We ordered the cake testing, and emailed with Carla on our feedback and what we liked/didn't liked. She then offered to remake one of the flavors with a sponge cake instead to see if that would work. It did! We ordered our wedding cake from her and it was absolutely delicious. My husband that doesn't like desserts looks forward to this cake every year. Every year, yes! Because Honey Crumb also offers to remake your wedding cake as an anniversary cake so you don't have to eat freezer burned year old cake (yuck!). We've made it our little tradition to order the same cake every year to celebrate. Carla is so sweet and wonderful to work with, and her cakes are delicious. We celebrated our five year anniversary this year and can't wait to get more cakes from Carla & Honey Crumb! (We added the dog cake topper but I've seen their work and I'm sure they could've done something similar!)

Carla has come THROUGGHHHHH for me for multiple events - birthdays, baby showers (more than one), holiday parties, and now finally - my wedding! Her friendliness, attention to detail, and incredible artistic eye is everything. Loved every flavor and tasting I've tried, so much so that my wedding cake consists of flavors I haven't tried yet but know is going to be 100% fire. Thanks for every time, Carla!

I have nothing but nice things to say about Carla and Honey Crumb! Service was exceptional, the cakes are DELICIOUSSS and Carla was super easy to get in contact with, set up a tasting and organize pickup for our wedding cakes. We got TONS of compliments on how delicious our cakes were from guests. Thank you again Carla!!

I handpicked Carla to do my wedding cake for my upcoming wedding this year because her prices are plainly listed on her catalog, and her cakes are visually stunning. There were other cake vendors that I had been considering, but I liked that she listed her catalog of cakes and rough pricing on her website, saving my an extra step of contact. Because of this, I considered her and only her for my wedding cake. Cake tastings were great. Since then I've been in to buy several other treats from her including the weekly cake parfait (I love variety! This changes every week), macarons, nutella cupcakes, rice krispie treats - just to name a few. All have been extremely tasty and delicious! Ordering through her online store and picking up curbside is a very convenient way to get goods during pandemic times. I highly recommend it. Now onto a more sensitive subject: after securing her as my wedding cake vendor a few months ago, Covid19 then ransacked everyone's plans and I was among many couples that decided to postpone their wedding until times were more stable. Carla offered me some fair choices regarding postponing my wedding. While I personally couldn't transfer my pricing to next year's cake, Carla graciously offered my the entire amount I put down as credits to the store to use until then. Considering Honey Crumb is a small business, and one that typically thrives on wedding season which is now disallowed, I felt this was a very kind gesture. I find it heartbreaking to see other consumers enraged at anything small businesses are trying to do/offer to stay afloat during these tough times. As a local consumer, I want to help support (not hurt!) local businesses as much possible so that they will be around when the pandemic eases up.

From the moment we first contacted Baked about our cakes to the day of the wedding, our entire experience was fantastic. Ali and her crew are absolutely fantastic. The cakes are beautiful. And most of all, they taste GREAT. We opted for a two-tier cake, simple layered design, and then accompanying cake bites for our wedding day. They were delicious...and we ended the night with zero cake bites left and just one or two pieces of cake...that says something! We opted for the cinnamon roll for our cake flavor (YUM!) and then the salted lime margarita and raspberry confetti for our cake bites. It was the perfect mix of flavors for us. An added bonus is that Baked will recreate the top layer of your cake for your one-year anniversary at a discounted price. It was so lovely to not have to worry about saving that top layer...plus, we know it'll taste great when we pick it up next September! Again, we highly recommend Baked for your wedding cake. The inside gives the feel of a casual dine-in area for fast food with few tables for 2-4 people while the rest of the space is the kitchen and counter. Staff are up front taking orders and grabbing the stuff you ask for. Small slices of cakes are available, and notices around mention to call ahead of time if you want larger sizes of those same cakes. We both decided to share their rainbow cake, which is a three-layer strawberry, lime and orange along with guava, lime and passion fruit flavored layers on top. Not much to say about this other than despite all these sweet profiles coming together, no one flavor outshined another flavor, and overall cake wasn't too sweet, surprisingly. One slice for $7.45 before tax is oddly huge even for the two of us to finish though, so this cake is definitely not best eaten alone; it's too good for that anyway! My favorite layer was the guava layer for how sweet yet mild it was. I've come back before for birthday cakes, and now I can see myself also coming back casually for their other cakes! Really high recommend for anyone around the area! Per the cashier, unlike previous years, where they often sold Paczki for several weeks leading up to the celebration, this year, they will only have them on Tuesday. Apparently every single one is handmade by the owner, Pâtissier William Leaman, and this year, he's been too busy with the 2026 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie competition as the US team's coach. That's certainly a great excuse! When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon a bit after lunch, this place was still quite busy with a line that stretched to the door, but not outside. As with the Burien location, I find the ordering process to be a bit of a pain; while there are plenty of workers to help, ordering is slowed due to the fact that the display cases are placed in a line and there's not much room in the building to maneuver to the desired display. In our case, while we had someone helping us all the way in the back of the line, we weren't able to select anything until we got all the way to the pastry case in the front. I'm not sure there's a good way to solve this conundrum, though. At any rate, we ended up only getting a single pastry (that was new to us) to try this time. Brown Sugar Pecan Brioche ($5) - This pastry looks like a glistening pecan sticky bun at first glance, with a cinnamon roll-like pinwheel structure and a brown sugar glazed pecan topping. Since it's brioche, I expected it to be dense, but soft, rich, and sweet. This bread is anything but. It's dense, dry, crumbly, almost clay-like in mouthfeel; basically everything brioche should not be. Instead of a sticky caramelized coating over the pecans, the pecans are glued on with only the thinnest of sugar coatings. The pastry doesn't claim to be a sticky bun, so it gets a pass there. Unfortunately the base layer is absolutely terrible, by far the worst "brioche" I've eaten in years. It has all the flavor of hard tack with the unpleasant mouthfeel of Play-Doh. Canned Pillsbury cinnamon rolls are far better than this waste of perfectly good ingredients. The owner should be ashamed to release this swill to the public. (1/5) Why am I giving Bakery Nouveau a 5? Because they serve some of the best twice baked croissants known to man. The Capitol Hill location is my go to for a sweet and buttery treat and I still recommend it to everyone that visits me, specifically for the almond and chocolate twice baked croissants. The paczki are no slouches either; probably the best we can get around Seattle. Bathrooms - Single unisex room. Note: There will be some walk in availability for paczki on Tuesday, but the cashier told me that they will likely sell out by 10AM. Looks like an early morning trip to the Capitol Hill location is in my near future.

All the whole cakes were simply decorated, but beautiful. The hubs said his funfetti cake was okay, but not outstanding. I thought it was more of a white butter cake with nice chewy sprinkles. Delicious, but maybe not the explosion he was expecting. A classic birthday cake, elevated. The blackout cake has a really rich flavor without being overwhelming- a more milk chocolate Matilda cake vibe. The carrot pineapple is pretty much a perfect carrot cake- not spice or nut, but CARROT, in the most beautiful way. The buttercream on the carrot cake is the best I can remember having- butter flavor and a smooth, sweet cream taste. But all those accolades aside- the chocolate malt cake is, simply put, the cake I would go back for. The cake itself is a perfect, moist chocolate malt flavor, without an artificial tasting aftertaste. The frosting is if they made the inside of a malted milk chocolate candy into a light, fluffy buttercream, without the cloying sweetness. I am not a huge sweets person, but cake is a special weakness. This may be the best cakery I've been to- and one I will gladly pay for.

Maybe thought there was rum or some type of alcohol in the slice, but there isn't. I was happy when they gave an extra caramel slice on the house but after a bite, no thank you. I couldn't finish the bite & it really disappointed us as it was my bf's birthday celebration. The cupcake was quite delicious as it had a nutty texture jam on the inside. Cake was soft, wasn't so sweet and loved the mixture of texture. The seasonal key lime slice was yummy. Super light graham cake flavor, good dense cake. Not so flavorful but it wasn't as disappointing as the other one. The lime flavor was the only star of the slice. We wanted something unusual for a wedding that would leave an impression. Valeria delivered on that goal and then some. Most of my guests had never even heard of a mousse cake before, and now I think for many it's their new favorite dessert. The little cakes I asked for were colorful and beautifully decorated in exactly the colors and shapes I requested, they added a wonderful touch to the presentation and vibe of the wedding. They were of course also delicious, both the regular ones and the gluten free ones. Speaking of gluten free. We had multiple gluten free guests including the maid of honor, Valeriya took care to make sure that the gluten free cakes were kept properly separated to avoid cross contamination, she also managed to make them a different shape and color than the others to make them easy to spot, while somehow managing to keep them beautifully on theme. Our gluten free guests were floored by how tasty they were. Valeriya manages to make a wonderful gluten free dessert that avoids the common shortcomings of a lot of gluten free baked goods, and that really brought an extra spark of joy to our guests. I could go on but long story short, I recommend From V with Love Cakes 100 times over. We went with the strawberry vanilla bean and for gluten free the raspberry pistachio flavors and loved both, but she has many others to choose from to match your tastes and occasion. I will hopefully never get married again, but I'm sure to have other big events in my future, and I'll plan to reach out to V for all of them.

I just have to say AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! I have ordered from this place since 2020. Not just…read morebecause of elegant beautiful cake and how pleasing the look, but also the delicious taste. The cakes will NOT disappoint at all. There is a wide variety of unique flavors, and they all have their special touch to them which make V's cake so different than another bakery. On top of that, the look of the cake is so beautiful. Her designs are what amazes me and she can make anything adding her own twist to it (I asked for a strawberry cake and she did a beautiful job seen in the photo). I also love the quick and easy pick up, and how easy it is to message her about what you want on the cake and if you have any questions (super quick response too)! Overall I really suggest going to this place instead of an ordinary bakery for your next event, you will not be disappointed!
