Jasmin leads a WONDERFUL French macarons making class virtually, if that is the only way to access her. (We live in the SF Bay Area) My friend took it last month and highly recommended it to my daughter and me. She does it over Zoom so she can interact with you and check your work while you see exactly what everything should look like and ask questions as needed. Instructions were very clear and Jasmin sends you a recommended purchase list but also helps you work with whatever equipment you already have at home. Our class was such a great relief from the crazy things we have been dealing with this summer and now we feel confident to try this again ourselves.

Jasmin made a custom 6" cake and matching cookies for our daughter's birthday. She was super responsive and easy to work with, and the cake and cookies were beyond beautiful, not to mention delicious! We were so happy with them and would definitely order again.

Discovered this gem when we stopped by Central District for some ice cream and Jasmin was there with her pop-up booth. We bought all flavors to try and everyone I shared the macarons with seemed to enjoy them! Overall, they are yummy, affordable, and beautiful~

Jasmin is an amazing pastry chef. Not only are her baked goods gourmet but she also decorates beautifully. She also teaches wonderfully, I have taken a cookie decorating class with my daughters and a cake decorating class at Seattle Chocolates. We love Bells Pastries, she is always the one I call to make goodies for my events. She is so creative and explains so clearly in her lessons. I cant wait to take another class! Highly recommend ordering macarons from her!

    Our mountains and wildflowers cake!

Jasmin of Bells Pastries is so talented and such a delight to work with. I reached out to her 6 months before my wedding to have her create a mini cutting cake. We had a Pacific Northwest mountains and flowers theme and the design she came up with was absolutely beautiful! And the cake tasted amazing too. My mom and I also had the opportunity to take her virtual macarons class and were so impressed with her teaching skills. I can't wait to find more opportunities to buy her treats!

She even had examples on picture for you!

I've taken three of Jasmine's classes. Y'all really need to check her out and take a class. I wanna say she is most popular for her french macarons. Have you checked out her monthly macaron club? SO MANY FLAVORS! What I love about her is how she really explains the process, the reasoning, and the proper techniques! I'm planning to take the cake decorating class next!!!

Jasmin is the best! I don't really remember how i found her on Instagram but I'm so glad I did! I've taken about 3 classes from her so far and all of them have been amazing! Jasmin is super great at explaining everything and I like that the classes are fairly small so she can come by each student to guide and help them out during difficult parts. She is super nice and the plus is she provides you with recipes and instructions via email after the class so you can recreate them at home! I will be taking more classes from her because she is the best! Love that her recipes are not too sweet they are just right! So balanced! Take a class from her! You won't regret it!

    Yeah, we made these.

What fun! I'm a little bit obsessed with French macarons. Mostly I enjoy eating them, but lately I I had gotten it into my head that I needed to learn how to make them myself. I knew enough about these tasty treats to know that as easy as the online recipes may look, there is a certain magic to making these come out right. I first heard about Bells Pastries because I follow @seattlefood on Instagram. Looking at the class schedule online I realized that I couldn't make any of the listed dates, so I reached out to Chef Jasmin to see about future classes. That's when I learned that I could schedule a private class as long as I had a minimum of four people. Perfect! We agreed on a date and we were good to go. Chef Jasmin was super responsive to email communications for both scheduling and follow up questions. Payment is usually handled via an email link to all participants in the class (she will ask for emails). Since my group was taking advantage of her Groupon we just had to purchase it and let her know once complete. She would later redeem the Groupon's based on the email addresses I had provided. Classes take place after business hours (6:30pm) at Le Rêve Bakery in Queen Anne. It is such an adorable space! We arrived a few minutes late of our 6:30 start, but that is why it is so brilliant that the class is kicked off by a happy half an hour. We were warmly greeted by Chef Jasmin who had a lovely bottle of Bordeaux and an assortment of hors d'oeuvres set out for us. She also had four workstations ready and waiting for us along with aprons with our names on them. She let us mingle for a little while and we started the actual instruction right at 7pm. Chef Jasmin had all of our ingredients and supplies laid out, pre-measured, and ready to go. The class was completely hands on. We worked in teams of two which worked out really well because there are some times when two different components of the ingredients had to be ready at the same time. She had her own workstation at the front where she would demonstrate each step, and we would then do it ourselves. While we worked on our own macarons she would come by and make sure we understood what to look for in terms of consistency, answer any questions, and provide handy tips and tricks for if anything should go wrong along the way. Each of us made our own flavor of macaron which is the ONLY reason I would suggest going to a class with more people, so you get to make more flavors. Her max class size is 8, but I think 4 was really quite perfect given the space and ensuring lots of individual attention. We made coconut, chocolate mint, strawberry and vanilla macarons, and they turned out beautifully despite my lack of pastry bag piping skills. And so yummy! In the end we each took home a box full of all of the cookies we made. I am so happy with our experience at Bells Pastries last night and I would highly recommend the class to anyone interested in learning the art of French macarons. Full price for the class is $85 per person, which is on par with other cooking classes in Seattle, and I would say totally worth it. I look forward to taking some of her other classes in the future. If I had to make any suggestions for improvement, I would have liked to purchase some of the other treats in the display case of the bakery, but that wasn't possible. Also, Chef made a batch of perfect macarons as she was demonstrating up front, maybe we could have taken home some of those too. ;-)

Macaron Class - I took a friend to a Bells Pastries class for her birthday since she loves macarons! It was a wonderful experience. Jasmin manages her class well with personality and entertainment. She keeps you on time and really gets you to engage with your ingredients. We had delicious wine and tea as beverages to start with, as well as delicious pastries! I will certainly be looking at doing other types of classes with Jasmin!

He would of held the cake more up right, but we didn't want the cake to topple right out!

The show is broadcasted on KIRO radio and streamed on YouTube. You can also listen on a podcast. It is filmed in the industrial kitchen at the Hot Stove Society Cooking School in downtown Seattle. The best part for us is that we learned you can buy tickets to attend a taping of the show and it includes a freshly made breakfast. We immediately signed up and attended the one this past Tuesday. It was so much fun as we were treated to freshly made sticky buns, Shakshuka and Greek yogurt with granola. All of the food was delicious. The show being recorded was also fascinating to watch with lots of behind the scene activity capturing our attention. The guests on the show were informative and entertaining and some door prizes were given away to some audience members. After the taping, we got to take photos and talk with Tom, his staff and the guests. We really enjoyed ourselves and were well taken care of (and well fed!) by the staff. I recommend attending one of these shows for a great behind the scenes look and informative discussions about food and cooking from some local experts.

Tom Douglas and his daughter were great hosts and their guests were engaging as well. We enjoyed the food that was served as well. What bothered me to the point of dropping 2 stars was being offered a mimosa when we were seated, without being told it was not included in the price of our experience. I was not prepared for the steep charge for the drink when we were getting ready to leave at the end. Had I known in advance, I certainly would have politely declined the offer. It just really left a bad taste in my mouth which took away from what was otherwise a great experience.

Chef Tracy is an absolute rockstar. She kicked off the day with a walking tour of Pike Place Market, weaving in local history while introducing us to some of the best vendors and food artisans in the city. Thanks to her incredible connections, we got to sample fresh bites and meet the people behind the food. And just when we thought it couldn't get better--she got me in to catch a fish. Yes, a real fish thrown at me in the middle of the market with a crowd watching. Talk about pressure--but I caught it! We brought all the ingredients back to Atrium Kitchen, rolled up our sleeves, and cooked an incredible meal together. The vibe was relaxed but energized--everyone was hands-on and having an absolute blast. Dinner was next‑level. We had a private dinner inside Pike Place Market after hours--total bucket‑list vibes. As a vegan, I was blown away by the care Chef Tracy took with my meal. She prepared this salad, elegant broccolini-chimichurri (actually something fancier than plain broccoli) and perfectly roasted potatoes--they were even better than most vegan meals I've had at restaurants. The rest of the team raved about the halibut, ribs, and other dishes that looked absolutely amazing. If you're visiting Seattle--or even if you live here--Atrium Kitchen at Pike Place Market is a MUST-DO. It's perfect for team outings, special celebrations, or just doing something different and utterly memorable. Chef Tracy makes you feel like a VIP from start to finish. Absolutely 10/10!

I've driven past this spot a gazillion times and just read this specialty business has been around since 1997! Props for longevity! I stopped in yesterday (1/22/26) for three reasons: I had a Too Good To Go confectionary pickup, wanted to see their Kasama Chocolate selection, and look around after my 15-16 year hiatus. Parking along Elliott in the Interbay area is dicey due to bus lanes, parking restrictions and traffic flow. Luckily, there are a few parking slots on the south side of their building, adjacent to Holy Mountain Brewing. Walked in and was blown away at the retail layout, so much to see! The counter person (owner?) was busy with another customer. Their convo was very warm and interactive. So I slowly meandered through the store and really liked what I saw. I should have come here for useful holiday gifts. I was later checked upon inquiring whether I needed any help locating any particular item(s). Chocolates, spices, olive oils, sauces, condiments, pasta, and other specialty items that a culinarian, gourmand, or treasure seeker would fully enjoy. The retail displays are so enticing and provides a lot of inspiration. Plus ChefShop is a lot closer to me than heading to PFI on S Dearborn. I ended up having to restrain myself and selected ras el hanout and berbere spice jars and two bars of Kasama Chocolate for purchase. The latter I learned about from Instagram, much closer than having to trek to Granville Island Public Market in Vancouver, BC. Plus my TGTG confectionary bag, everything found made for a successful retail visit. Terrific retail layout. Welcoming and informative customer service. With the loss of Chocolopolis further down Elliott, ChefShop is another great resource for quality chocolate varieties. Definitely, follow them via IG (@chefshopseattle) for up to date info & classes. Great to stock your pantry, find unique gifts for others, and treats for yourself. Just don't have such a long delay between visits like me. Highly recommended!

The next time I came here was for a Too Goo to Go pickup where they had a special recipe surprise bag. It came with the recipe and some of the ingredients needed to make a pasta dinner. They regularly have pickups available on Too Good to Go so that's a great way to try some of their products at a discount. He was very honest and straight forward, which I liked. He gave me a exact quote over the phone and didn't pressure me to use his service. (The quote was very reasonable and within my expectation.) We continued to communicate over email the next few weeks leading up to the party. Chef presented the four-course buffet menu to me and we only made one small change to the dessert item. He also suggested the wine pairings and told me what he would cover (plates, napkins, flatware) and what I needed to rent (glasses, linens). On the day of the party, he was punctual with his arrival time. He was very professional, friendly, and answered any questions we had. He was very transparent and shared cooking method, ingredients, etc. All of our guests could come up to him, ask him any questions, and he took the time to answer them all. Once the dinner started, Chef did a menu walk-through with our guests and talked about the wine pairings. Throughout the night and the dinner service, he was very autonomous and very discrete. He never interrupted the meal or stopped me from entertaining my guests. He also cleared plates as guests finished their meals. As I had to play hostess, I forgot to grab my dessert and Chef Jay made sure that I wasn't forgotten. He served me the dessert to save me a trip, which I thought was very sweet. On the topic of food, everything was fantastic. The food was cooked well, seasoned well, and portioned correctly. He made a chocolate dessert and when he talked about it, he called it a simplistic, humble dessert. He really downplayed the awesomeness of the chocolate brownie!!! If you use him, make sure you ask for this dessert! My husband is a big chocolate dessert fan. We dine out a lot and get chocolate dessert wherever we go. My husband said this was probably the best dessert he ever had. He was excited that we some leftovers brownies. The feedback I received about Chef Jay, the party, and the in-home, private chef experience were all positive. Once the party was over, my husband could not stop talking about how great the food was, how professional the Chef is, and what a great time he had. Our guests kept asking me how I found the Chef (I found him through Yelp) and they didn't know such service existed. They thought it was a really unique experience.
