They sent out a new team of 3 this time and the job was done in less than 2 hours, and the job was done correctly. All three members that came this time apologized that the last job wasn't to my satisfaction, even though they were not at fault. I've tried out a few maid services in the area looking to hire one to come to the house on a regular basis. The prices for Honest Maids, for a recurring service (2x month) were absolutely incredible. I'm talking like half of what everyone else was quoting. So I gave the first cleaning a go, hoping for the best. Well, you do get what you pay for. The cleaners arrived and were nice enough, polite and professional. But they took FOREVER, I have a 3 bedroom house its not very large and was fairly clean since we just moved in and it took two cleaners like 4-5 hours to do a basic cleaning. They were also very rough with our brand new blinds, banging them around when it wasn't needed while dusting them. They also scratched some paint off our newly painted baseboards with the mop or broom being too rough. Minor things were also not taken care of, such as general tidying up in main areas of the house, leaving cups in the living room etc. Just not very thorough. Their customer service is wonderful, and dealing with the company in general is great, if the cleaners had done a better job and been more respectful of my property I would have been totally sold. read more

It's amazing how this SCAM company can have 4+ stars on yelp. Don't deal with this people, the owner is just someone that you never want to deal with as you can't really have a modern conversation. I point out something that's not fair and the owner start accusing you as if you are destroying their "family business" ridiculous guy. I paid full for the people that worked hard under him, the ladies that were just working hard because of the fake schedule that the owner provides to the customer. Updated: Now they are treating me and telling me that I work for some kind of company. Not even funny anymore, if you tell them something is not fair, you get treating like calling a police, report, or telling you that you are working for some kind of competing company. Initially, I really struggled to find a reputable company who would even travel this far south west. (It's only Avondale) But when I finally found Honest Maids, they charged a reasonable fee, and have done an amazing job every single time! Amanda in particular does an outstanding job! They communicate so clearly and so well. In fact, one week when the office was having trouble with their text/voicemail system, Amanda texted me from her own cell to ensure that I got an accurate update, and ensured that my expectations were met. I love this team! They've been helping out for almost 1 year and have never had a complaint! They handle our main home in Avondale and the Airbnb that we rent to visitors. They have us a good price on each, specially the Airbnb since the financials on those are different, they go and clean and prep it like a hotel staff would ready for the next guest, I love it! For the house they've always just shown up and gotten straight to work, they first introduced me to their products and their process and i got out of their way, never bother me or given me any problems! Honest maids:Not so Honest I was quoted a price range for my house to be cleaned after moving out. I was promised that if it were to cost anything outside of that range, I would be made aware prior to services being rendered. I was not made aware! After being told I was being billed far more than my quote, but it's ok because I was being given a discount so it was closer to the quoted price; I was understandly upset. I was then told it was simply a quote and that my job cost more than they thought. Prior to services, I even offered a walkthrough on my house. I was told it was unnecessary and I would be priced somewhere with the range given. Upon inspection, post cleaning, I became even more upset. The cleaners left a note saying that they were sorry they didn't clean the one of the bedrooms. They "got hungry and thirsty and had to go but hoped I liked their work anyway". Floorboards, doors, fans and vents were left uncleaned, as well as the one bedroom. The tile and grout were to be cleaned also but after the "cleaning" it looked exactly the same. A couch that would be used in staging was also moved by us so that a few spots could be treated and cleaned up but instead the carpet cleaner moved the couch back and avoided the spots altogether. The carpet was also soaking wet the day after (24 hrs +). It remained wet until the 3rd day afterward. Their website states that no jobs are subcontracted but that is clearly a lie because I was hounded for payment because he had a invoice from the carpet cleaner that he paid and we needed to reimburse him whether the job was done well or not. I complained to the owner, Humberto, about the cleaning and got nothing but excuses. He did however promise to send someone Saturday to finish the cleaning but the person never came and he never texted/called/emailed to let me know they wouldn't be coming. He insisted that I pay him before the job was finished but I refused. He didn't send someone out the following day either, nor did I hear from him, so I had someone else clean the house. He bullied me into paying, threated to report me, so I paid him what he subcontracted to get him off my back. I know he'll see this, so Humberto, please don't reply with a million and one excuses. How it was somehow my fault, how I "refused" to let you make it right, as you somehow managed to type out in my invoice that I paid anyway to make you go away. Your company did a crappy job. Step up and take ownership for that. People please, learn from me. Some other company has got to be waaaaaaay more transparent and honest than Honest Maids. read more

Diana has been great to work with and can usually accommodate my request for a clean within a few days and the cleaning prices are so very reasonable I have no need to look elsewhere for another company! I contacted Honest Maids through Yelp about getting a gift certificate as a Christmas present to use towards cleaning services. Diana, the owner, seemed very pleasant and willing to help me make the purchase. Her communication at that time was very clear and timely. She told me what day she was going to call to get payment information and a mailing address to send the gift certificate (she already had all my contact information). When just over a week had passed from the date she said she was going to contact me, I sent Diana another message through Yelp letting her know that I still wished to purchase the gift certificate and asking her when was a good time to contact her. More than 24 hours later, I had yet to receive a response. I sent another Yelp message and also left a voicemail for her at the telephone number listed for Honest Maids on Yelp. Again, another day has passed and Diana has yet to return the call or message. I was really excited about introducing my boyfriend to a seemingly great cleaning service in his area, knowing he would likely become a regular weekly customer after using his gift certificate. It's really disappointing to see the lack of interest and follow through from the owner. If this is how the business operates and communication is unreliable (or nonexistent) about a simple gift certificate, I'm not sure I would want to pay substantially more money to make a regular commitment to have them clean my home. read more

INcredible service! I'm so glad I decided to cancel my appointment with Molly maids and try this company out. I was a little nervous about the switch because there wasn't many reviews to go off of, but after speaking to Diana on the phone I was sold. Diana is professional, knowledgable and super sweet :) I decided to give Honest maids a try because I wasn't happy with the cleaning (or lack thereof) I was receiving from MM. There are a few things that never seemed to get any attention with MM, like the baseboards, walls, and cupboard surfaces. In contrast, Honest Maids cleaned every nook and cranny with great detail, going above and beyond and I could not be more happy! I felt bad because it's been a while since I've done a deep clean and Diana and Charisse ended up spending a good 4.5 hrs here, well over what they thought it would take, but they were extremely kind and forgiving. Love that you can customize service and it's charged by basically house size & not hours. Not sure how long it took (again, a fixed price), but they didn't just do a normal surface clean, they did all the detailed cleaning often overlooked (blinds & window sills, ceiling fans, all door knobs and light switches, etc.) Plus of course bathrooms & lurched cleaned, mopping & vacuuming, including the stairs, and they even wiped down my furniture. Now, I gave 4 stars cause I believe that there is always room for improvement and growth. This is the first time I actually had somebody clean my house. I have been doing the cleaning myself but since having three dogs and both of me and my significant other working nightshifts, we needed a little help with keeping the house in order. We didn't really know what to expect with honest maids. Among other company I have talked and inquired into, the honest maid was the only one that I like. The price was budget friendly, the staffs are very nice and most importantly I want to give credit to whoever did my kitchen! I wish I got her name, she did an awesome job. My kitchen is spotless! I never knew my oven could look the way it looked now. Since it's just the initial visit, there were areas that got missed. I was disappointed on the master bedroom even though I told them to concentrate on that area as well. Although the master bathroom was spotless can't complain there but whoever cleaned the master bedroom got a little lazy. My vanity and walls needed wiping, my ceiling fan was not wiped and I don't know if they do the bed? But I was hoping for them to make the bed when we got home, but they didn't. You would think that if you talk about deep cleaning making the bed would be part of it? I might be mistaken. Overall work was good. Sometimes things around the house can overwhelm you or you need a more thorough cleaning so, you hire someone to come in. I can't believe Honest Maids have been around for a while and I missed them. I live in the west side and like doing business with nearby companies. The price options were a little confusing but the manager was accommodating. The service arrived on time, I told them their priorities and they got to work. I found the work competent and the price reasonable. If I could give a negative star rating, I would. The master bedroom fans were not cleaned and I had to hurry to clean walls myself before final walk through. The real estate agent said only reason I was not being charged for incomplete cleaning was they were repainting the inside of the house. This is shown in the new post for the rental. Email said 3 people for 4 hours. Had 1 person for 1 hour. Then 2 people for 3 hours. Baseboards in living room, walls in bedroom, and windows in two rooms all dirty. I was not happy that I had to run to store for cleaning supplies to hurry and clean myself! I stated we were paying in cash, which we had (plus a tip for each of the 4 that were supposed to show). The gals that showed walked without saying anything, or to see if all was good. Two weeks later, I start getting harassed with several calls and emails, one voice mail already states "collections"!!! I don't have regular cleaning service so 4 times a year would be a real treat for me. I have had a service once in a while and it usually costs a lot because it's with a different company and they have a startup cleaning requirement. This was the same with Honest Maids but with the discounts they offered, the initial cleaning wasn't too expensive. I was very impressed with their initial "deep clean" service - 2 days later I am still finding little touches that surprise me. It started with a noticeably clean door on my way IN from my garage, those little fingerprints that have been there for a while were GONE, the kitchen was spotless (including microwave and stovetop), then my teenager's bathroom was so clean that my teenager himself commented how clean it was, and then I noticed how they really cleaned up the laundry room (no more dust bunnies in crevices). Their price was competitive to other rates I've had in the past but I do feel that they put in more labor than we've experienced. I will definitely have them come more frequently and recommended them on my personal Facebook because I know it really is difficult to find a cleaning company that really does a great job AND you can trust them. read more
