Of course our air conditioner decided it didn't want to do its job when the heat index is over 110°! So what's a girl to do? She starts looking for companies online that have good reviews. Bingo! Found it! The name of his company says it all! Honest? Yes. Explained things to me in a way I could understand since I have no knowledge about HVAC units. Told me options and explained his thought process behind it. My HVAC needed Freon. And it got what it needed. And now it is no longer in the 90° range inside the house. Another big perk is that he is a local from Mount Juliet. I really do like to support local businesses and this is one that I would use again if I needed. 17/10 recommend! read more

Honest Dave's HVAC - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me

We were having an issue with the AC in our house where the unit would try to power on, then turn off immediately. Dave was one of the first people to respond to my request, and came out to investigate what the issue was. I appreciated that Dave talked me through what he was doing and how the AC unit & thermostat worked so I understood some basics of why things were not functioning correctly. It turned out there was a larger issue with the unit, and Dave was able to procure the parts and fix the unit in a timely manner. He also helped us install new thermostats and everything is running smoothly now! Dave is efficient with the work and an excellent communicator. We highly recommend his HVAC services! read more

Excellent and knowledgeable service from Dave! Also very professional and courteous! Will definitely use again:)

Nothing but professionalism from this group! Replied within minutes and did a great job. Great price too. Highly recommend!

Dave was very friendly and explained things to me well. He gave me several options to fix the problem and gave me price estimates

He is down to earth honest. He also has excellent inter-personal communication. I recommend him without any doubt.

I bought a new house and had an issue where the AC upstairs would come on with so much air that things started blowing around the room. Dave came out super quickly to take a look and found that there was a 2 stage 2 ton unit dedicated to the 2 bedrooms. I asked him to disable the second stage. He seemed a little unsure when I started asking technical questions so I could understand what he was changing, but eventually told me all of the details of how he was changing the wiring. I'm an engineer, so I like to know the details in case I want to change them later. His price was reasonable, and he was able to solve the problem within 48 hours of me contacting him. read more

I can't say enough good things about Honest Dave's! I called with an HVAC issue, and Dave was willing to come out for an emergency visit. However, after learning my unit was still under warranty, he advised me to contact the original installers instead--saving me an unnecessary service charge. Since the original team hadn't been able to fix the problem before, Dave went above and beyond. He looked at a couple of photos, spent 45 minutes on the phone walking me through the issue, and provided step-by-step instructions on what needed to be done. I forwarded his guidance to the original team, and thanks to his expertise, they followed his advice and finally fixed the problem. And the best part? He did all of this for free! In a time when most businesses charge for every minute of their time, Dave truly lives up to his name--honest, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. If you're looking for someone who actually cares about their customers, Honest Dave's is the place to call. read more

Timely and trustworthy. Had them come out to check an AC that wasn't cooling and they helped with a quick diagnosis at a fair price!

I called Dave at 4pm on a Friday and he was at my house and the ac was fixed an hour later. Cannot say enough good things about his service.

Called Dave to check my furnace, no fire or spark. He was on his way home when he texted me and said he could by in a half hour. Quick to respond, nice dude. He did the best could and diagnosed that my furnace..,it was a bad logic board...no spark to igniter. He didn't want to charge me, but I insisted that take some money for his time. He was there probably an half hour. read more

Dave was great! Drove over an hour out here, and found the issue. Definitely will call again for any future HVAC needs.

Dave was able to squeeze me in the same day which was amazing. He tested out a couple things and gave me advice on alternative thermostats (Nest malfunction) as that ended up being my issue not the actual HVAC system. He was kind enough to offer me to text him with any install questions for when I was switching it out later. read more

I came home from a short trip away to a house that was 77 degrees despite the thermostat being set to 72. A few hours later is was at 80, so I called Dave. He was able to schedule a visit for later same day. When he arrived it was 87 in my house. He was able to diagnose and fix the issue very quickly, and his rate was reasonable. Very happy to have cold air blowing in my house again finally! read more

Had A/c issue, called for availability and he showed up within 90 minutes, A/C working in about 15 minutes. Dave took to the time to explain everything he was doing and actually showed me all the safety switches and how to test them. This is the second time I have used him. I have him in my contacts for any A/C / heating problems. Very good pricing. read more

A Godsend. Thank you Dave. I have to thank this man for seriously getting us out of a rough and very hot situation. Our HVAC unit went out during the hottest week of summer. Dave came out the same day we called him and explained in so much detail what was wrong. Our unit being over 20 yrs old with more than one bad part, it was best to replace the unit. Dave gave us the most fair quote we had gotten. He was so fast at replacing our unit, wow. And it's been nearly 2 months and the unit works so perfect. Thank you Dave, God bless you. read more
