Fletcher was assigned through my home warranty company to diagnose and repair my HVAC, which was not cooling properly. I explained on all three visits that the issue was inconsistent and did not simply correlate with hotter outdoor temperatures--for example, the unit could work fine during a 98° day but fail to cool properly that evening when temperatures dropped into the low 80s, sometimes remaining 4-6° above the set temperature for days. Each time, Fletcher agreed that if this were simply an older unit struggling with extreme heat, the problem should come and go with outdoor temperatures. My refrigerant was also found to be low twice during this process (once by another contractor a few weeks earlier and again at Fletcher's first visit), but Fletcher said they could not even *check* for a leak because it was the first time *they* had documented the low refrigerant. Despite acknowledging that something else appeared to be wrong and telling me to call back if the problem continued, Fletcher reported to the warranty company that the unit was simply old, that it was only experiencing a 1-2° temperature variation during the hottest part of the day, and that there was nothing wrong with it beyond its age. They also told the warranty company they would not return for another service call, despite telling me directly that they would. As a result, the warranty company stopped pursuing a resolution even though the HVAC is still not functioning properly. What makes this worse is Fletcher's refusal to return a call asking for an explanation. I initially wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that the warranty company had misunderstood what they reported, but Fletcher never bothered to respond. Unfortunately, this is not my first issue with them. Earlier this year, I discovered that Fletcher had installed a fan upside down during a previous repair, causing the unit to overheat. I paid $125 for the original repair and another $125 to have their mistake diagnosed and corrected. Phone calls regarding this issue (their error that took $250 out of my pocket) went unanswered as well. Fletcher is now on my "do not use" list with my home warranty company and I encourage others to look elsewhere for their repair needs. read more

These guys came out through our home warranty provider to check on our split unit. The service technician told us that the blower motor was broken and that the coil was literally disintegrating and falling out of the unit. After he left, 3 weeks went by and we didn't hear anything. I finally called back only to find out that their owner filed a claim for the unit to be cleaned and that cleaning wasn't covered and that we would have to pay them $450 to have it done. Cleaning was never what the technician recommended. I called my home warranty provider to confirm, and Fletcher made a claim to have it cleaned, which isn't covered, instead of to have it repaired, which is. Total scam. They were trying to make more money off of us, than they would have made through the warranty company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR HOME SERVICE NEEDS. read more

I am extremely disappointed that after months of ongoing problems with my HVAC system, I was informed today that the company had been told that I was "not being cooperative" and had refused to allow the technician to come to my home. That statement is simply not correct, and the service history shows otherwise. Since April 30, 2026, I have had repeated service appointments regarding this same HVAC system, including visits on 04/30, 05/08, 05/21, 05/27, 06/05, 06/24, 07/02, and 08/13. There were also multiple repairs made to this unit last year. At this point, every major part has either been repaired or replaced, yet the HVAC system continues to fail. Each breakdown has created more hardship because I have had to wait for parts to be ordered, delivered, and then wait again for an available appointment. After all these repairs and service visits, the system still cannot keep proper operation. During the extreme summer heat, conditions inside my home became unbearable. There were nights when my two dogs and I slept outside on the deck because it was cooler than sleeping inside the house. One of my dogs, Olivia, is battling cancer, and the excessive heat created added stress and discomfort for her. I am also my mother's primary caregiver. She suffers from Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and underwent several surgeries throughout the summer. When the air conditioning was not functioning, I bought a portable air-conditioning unit so that I could keep a safe and comfortable environment for her while she recovered. What is especially troubling now is being characterized as "uncooperative" or being told that I refused service. On August 31, 2026, I was scheduled for a service appointment between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Kimberly personally called me and explained that Jason was running behind and that the new arrival window would be between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. I completely understood the delay and agreed to wait. I remained at my home until approximately 7:30 p.m.--30 minutes beyond the revised appointment window--before finally leaving to make a quick trip to the store. I never received a call from Jason telling me that he had arrived, was on his way, or was unable to reach me. When I later called to find out what happened, I was told that Jason had called, and no one answered. My phone is set so that callers who are not in my contacts are sent directly to voicemail. Even then, the call would still appear in my unknown-caller or missed-call history, and the caller would have the opportunity to leave a voicemail. I have no record of receiving a call or voicemail from Jason. Therefore, I strongly disagree with any suggestion that I refused service or was uncooperative. I stayed home for the original appointment window, agreed without complaint to the two-hour delay, and then stayed home an additional 30 minutes beyond the revised window. That is not refusing service. That is making every reasonable effort to accommodate the company and its technician. I have accommodated repeated service appointments for months, waited through many repair attempts, dealt with delays for parts and scheduling, and rearranged my responsibilities to make myself available. After this many service visits and repairs, my actions show that I have been more than cooperative. What I have asked for is a permanent solution. This situation has gone far beyond a minor inconvenience. It has affected the health, safety, and comfort of my household. Continuing to patch or repair a system that repeatedly fails is no longer a reasonable solution. I am asking that the complete service history be reviewed and that replacement of the HVAC unit be seriously considered. I also ask that the record be corrected if it says that I refused service or was uncooperative. I should not be blamed for a missed service appointment when I stayed home through the entire scheduled window and beyond, received no call or voicemail from the technician, and have spent months cooperating with repeated attempts to repair this system. I simply want what I have been requesting all along: a reliable HVAC system, exact documentation of my interactions with the company, and a permanent resolution to this ongoing problem. read more

Fletchers replaced my ac coil under warranty, charged me $1700 for Freon. During installation, technician damaged water drainage tube. Broke in half. Water leaked through my ceiling and fletchers is no where to be seen. Will not return a phone call or email. 3 weeks now. I would never use this company again. When second tech arrived to correct first techs mistakes, he stated to me the first tech broke line and did not repair. I hate to pile on but I can't tell if they are incompetent or deliberately dishonest, but I've had my home warranty company assign them 3 or 4 times now, and I've told them to stop. 1st issue -- they replaced a broken coil. Seemed fine, except now a year or two later that unit is already leaking freon again, and for some reason that three other companies can't figure out, air is colder in one set of ducts off that unit than the other, and this only started happening after this Fletcher job. 2nd issue - they replaced a dead furnace (motherboard part was bad and too old to be replaced). Except the unit doesn't always come on in extreme cold. They assured me the unit would come on under any conditions. Brought a couple tech's out and they couldn't solve the problem. We lived with space heaters on that floor through the winter. 3rd issue -- got to summer with that new unit and the cold isn't coming on -- AT ALL. Fletcher comes back out and diagnoses that the wires at the furnace end weren't sending signals all the way through to the condenser end. They could not diagnose it and tried all six wires (since I only needed two). No explanation. CEO comes out to double check and has the same answer. Their only solution was to sell me a $600 (out of pocket, warranty won't cover) wireless box so the furnace could communicate with the condenser, which never had problems before Fletcher started doing work in my house. I call my regular guy to get his opinion, he comes out, and in 10 minutes fixes it -- Fletcher had disconnected the wires. He reconnected them and suddenly my unit cools like a charm. 4th issue -- I call my usual guy out for regular maintenance. He finds: (1) a leaking coil (measurable and locatable) in one unit that Fletcher has never touched before -- but it's old and this is a problem that eventually comes up. (2) He finds broken and mis-installed pipes in the new Fletcher furnace described in step 2 above -- appx $1000 out of pocket repair job (no way am I calling Fletcher back under a warranty claim). I wonder if this will resolve my heater issues with this unit -- I'll find out this winter. (3) The coil that Fletcher installed as described in issue #1 above is now leaking freon again too, but he can't find the leak. Another "mystery" issue on a system Fletcher installed/repaired. 5th issue -- based on the new leaking coil discovered by my good tech team in the previous issue, I call my warranty company and place the claim, and specifically write "Do not send Fletcher." So my warranty company sends Fletcher. The usual tech comes -- who, btw is always VERY nice, and appears to be helpful and knowledgeable -- explains he can find and measure the leak, so he agrees, it's there. But because I had the system refilled the prior month when my tech discovered the leak, he has to report that it has enough freon in it, but he will explain the situation to the warranty so that the warranty company should still approve the claim. Two weeks go by -- nothing from the warranty company. I login and the claim shows as "resolved". I call up the warranty go, they say they need to hear from Fletcher and will chase them down. 2 more weeks go by, nothing. I call warranty co again, they call Fletcher with me on hold, and then come back and say "The receptionist at Fletcher said she closed it because your system has freon in it and is blowing cold air." So I have to re-explain the whole issue and the warranty company decides to send me a new tech, to restart the eval -- because Flether's internal communications broke down -- just like everything they install, apparently. read more

The company promised to return with the part, but on the day of the appointment they called to say the wrong part had been delivered. After several more days, they came again--only to discover the part didn't fit. As temperatures dropped, this cycle repeated. When I asked why, the dispatcher said the owner kept ordering incorrectly. Later, a manager named Fatih from the Nashville office called me. She was extremely rude, insisting the owner hadn't ordered wrong and blaming my "cheap" warranty, claiming Trane no longer made parts for my unit. Upset, I asked my warranty company to send someone else, but they refused because Fletcher reported another part was on order. At that point, I hired a different company myself. I gave them my unit's serial number, they verified the correct part with Trane, and installed it the very next day. My heat has worked perfectly ever since. Shockingly, Fletcher's owner later called to say my warranty had approved a new unit because the part "did not exist," but that I would have to pay out-of-pocket. When I explained everything, he dismissed me and hung up. The owner owns several locations. This was the Chattanooga location. Based on this experience, I strongly advise against using this company. read more

The fan motor is also bad and I told them this before they arrived. The tech didn't check anything, just say the capacitor was already pulled, then denied my claim because they couldn't troubleshoot the issue. A good tech would be able to test the capacitor or hook it back up to diagnose the issue. This technician spent a total of 5 minutes at my house and didn't diagnose anything. We called the company back and they tried to charge me over $200 for them to come back and replace the capacitor, without even looking at the fan motor, which is the real culprit. Also, when we called the office, the lady who I spoke with, Kimberly, as extremely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone for any type of service. read more

I have AHS and requested service 12/14. I had no heat during the freezing spell in Nashville. Tech came out 12/17 and said there was water in the condensation tray and emptied it. I asked why did this happen. It just does he said. This weekend. Heat stopped working again so i called another company for an overall inspection and they said the the condensation tube was kinked and twisted. Causing water to leak back into the tray triggering the safe switch to turn off the heat. I called Fletcher plumbing and they texted me back so i sent them this Hi. I had someone come out and the issue was a kinked condensation line. Kinda confused that your tech did not catch that and repair it?!? Her response. Your heating worked when the tech left. And that is the wonderful customer service. The tech emptied a condensation tray and did not fix the problem. Something so simple. Lazy. And the lack of caring is icing on the cake. Hard. Split AC wasn't cooling. Fletcher came out and added one pound of refrigerant. Said there was no leak even though it's a sealed system. Three days later, unit wasn't cooling again. Second time out, diagnosed the issue as a leak in the evaporator coil (shocker!). Took them three weeks to come back to replace the coil (postponed scheduled appointments twice). Third time out (this time to replace the coil), said the entire system needed to be replaced (also a leak in the condenser coil). Three days later, I still don't even have an appointment scheduled to replace the unit. So at this point, over a month has passed, Fletcher has been to my house three times, my AC still doesn't work, and I don't even have an appointment for the replacement. It was 85° in my house this weekend. Every time I call, the receptionist blames the issues on the owner. "The owner hasn't submitted the paperwork," "the owner isn't here right now," etc. If you need reliable HVAC work done, call ANYONE but Fletcher. read more

Originally we had our first scheduled yearly maintenance done on our A.C. with a different company. That technician found a leak in our gas line to the unit. Because we have a home warranty, we had to find and use the company assigned to us for further repairs, so we were having to now hire this company. Given some of these reviews, we were hesitant. The gentleman technician (owner?) came out the same day as we called in. My husband was who had the interaction with him. My husband said he was cordial and professional. This technician almost immediately found the culprit, a simple screw laying nearby, had either fallen out or not been put back in place. He saved us a ton of potential trouble & possibly a ton of money. read more

I'm now looking for a new home warranty company--one that's a bit more flexible and doesn't force you to use a single vendor that seems to cause so many issues. Technician came out and told me he needed to order an adapter to stop a leak in our HVAC unit in the attic. Did not hear back and called after 3 days. Was told then it would be $2000 to replace the entire coil(which was not leaking) and the drain pan (which the tech told me was fine and did not need to be replaced.) I woke up Thursday morning to my downstairs heat not working and the thermostat registering 61 degrees. I also have the home warranty that requires that I use the company they select. After being told that Fletcher H&A was the provider, I looked up reviews and was hesitant based on the bad reviews. However, my experience was great. I placed my order on Thursday morning, and Dakota was here by 10 Friday morning. As it turned out, after he did a little trouble shooting, he determined that he needed to go under the house. I am extremely disappointed with the service we received from Fletcher Heating and Air. Over the past three weeks, they have come to our home three different times, and each visit resulted in a new supposed issue, or an excuse about not having the right tool, and then they would just leave without actually fixing anything. On their most recent visit, they told us the blower wasn't working. After our home warranty company inspected it, we were informed that the wires to the blower had been completely pulled out -- something that is clearly not normal wear and tear. Fletcher was the only company that had worked on our unit and I don't even know how to access it so there is only one explanation of how that could have happened. Because of this, our claim was denied, and we're now left without heat. As I'm writing this, my family is in a 55-degree house, huddled around space heaters, and not a single issue on the unit has been resolved despite multiple appointments. We expected professional service and honest troubleshooting, but that is far from what we received. I could not recommend this company less. read more

Nashville: had water in ductwork. Guy came out and looked for ten minutes, maybe. Said he doesn't know where it came from. He said he poked a hole in the duct and then informed me how I could "change it myself". I said but before changing I need to know where the water comes from and he said he didn't know, AGAIN. I asked him about the warranty covering the replacement or the diagnosis of water and he said "the warranty company says they cover duct work but they really don't". He then left. I struggled for 4 weeks for Fletcher to even supply the "detailed report" to the warranty company. UPDATE: FLETCHERs raging owner called me a liar when I said that his tech "didnt know the cause of water". He claimed they submitted the report two days after the home visit. They refused to come back out to my home to properly diagnose and FINALLY submitted a report that magically knew the issue after warranty co was requesting them to come back out. They went from unresponsive and not knowing what the problem was to magically labeling my duct work as "missing a part" which is not covered by warranty. I got a second opinion through my warranty co and this company honestly diagnosed the issue and now it is a warranty covered repair. I'm escalating a complaint with the warranty co, BBB and attorney general because this was FRAUD. Do NOT do business with these people if you care about your home. They appear to just use warranties to get easy jobs and not honor their part of the deal and at worst LIE about your home. Read other reviews here and stay away. I hope warranties cancel their contracts with them because that's clearly the only way they are in business. read more

I felt immediate regret when I saw the reviews and realized this company had accepted my service request. Not only did it take them 4 to 5 days to come out, but when they did, they spent less than 30 minutes replacing a cheap part which, as it turned out, wasn't even the actual issue. Within just 3 to 4 hours, my air conditioning stopped working again. It then took another 7 days for them to return, and only after I followed up myself had I not called, they likely wouldn't have shown up. Someone had even scheduled me for a date that had already passed, essentially leaving me without a proper appointment. During their second visit, they finally identified the real problem: a faulty reversing valve. I was told the part needed to be ordered and replaced, but nothing was mentioned about any additional parts or charges. Although the part was covered under my home warranty, the refrigerant wasn't leaving me with an unexpected $1,350 bill. They refused to replace the covered part as discussed and guaranteed by the warranty unless I paid for the refrigerant, which had never been mentioned or disclosed beforehand. This felt like a bait-and-switch. This experience makes it seem like they're trying to get as much money as possible from the home warranty program without actually resolving the issues knowing certain items won't be covered so they can shift the cost to the customer. A broken A/C in the middle of summer and a home warranty program appears to be the perfect setup for companies like this to take advantage of people. read more

Horrible Service!! Do not book with them. I have AHS and they always try to pawn me off with this trash excuse for a HVAC company. The receptionist historically has a bad attitude; she even hung up on me today. They've been to my house several times and it's like every 6 months I have an issue that requires them to come out, do 20 minutes of work and that gets me through another few months before it breaks again. Today I had a service request with AHS, and they tried to pawn me off on Fletcher and I immediately called and canceled. I refuse to EVER work with this company EVER again. It astounds me that a company like this, is still in business. I guess the solid ratings of 1 star tell the story. If your home warranty company sends your case to Fletcher, get ready for a nightmare. I wish I had read the other reviews and had them fired asap. Techs and Dispatch are nice. Owner is a nightmare. Original issue is my AC blower motor would quit working every couple of days. It would just stop working for about 24 hours. This was in May. Fletcher would come out, happily take my money, and say there was nothing they could do because it wasn't broken when they got there. I videoed this happening countless times. After a couple of weeks, they agreed to replace the motor. After that was done, my unit started freezing up. See pictures. Once it got hot in June, it would freeze up every single day, multiple times. Ticket was sent to Fletcher again. They happily took my money again as they considered this a new issue. They sent every tech out multiple times. We'll call them A, J, and R. Techs could never find anything definitive and would be overruled by owner Jason every time. This went on for weeks. At this point, I'm over a month with a broken AC, in the South, in July. One tech determines it is likely the Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV). He says it will need to be replaced. I was told by dispatch the part was ordered. The next day, I get a call from dispatch saying they need to come back out Saturday because the pictures they took were blurry. Sounds odd, so I email back to get confirmation on the details. --- Me: The last person I spoke to on the phone told me it had been ordered. I'm sure you can understand my frustration as I just want my air conditioner to work. I was told J* was coming out tomorrow just to take pictures, because R*'s pictures were blurry. I obviously have no idea what the issue is, but R* is the first person who has looked at it for that amount of time and I'm just repeating what his diagnosis was. Between J*, R*, and. A*, I think everyone has had a different opinion on the problem. Could I possibly speak to whoever is in charge of the overall issue and making the decisions so I can understand where we are at? 615-***-***. Me again: Can I get a call from someone today to discuss this? I would really appreciate it. Owner Jason: This is the owner. No part is needed. It will be fixed tomm you have nothing to worry about. It will be handled and cooling. The diagnose was wrong. It's a minor fix and will be done tomm --- The tech came out and did nothing. He had no idea what the 'minor fix' was. No part was ordered despite dispatch telling me the TXV had been ordered. Tech left. Owner Jason refused to call me and I was unable to ever talk to him directly. He closed things out with this email: "I spoke to him (tech on site) on everything. There is no problems. There's no issues with the unit that is showing. I don't know what else we can do. The system itself is running perfectly fine. He sent me pictures. We've already talked. We've discussed. We did everything while he was on your property. There is physically nothing wrong with that unit, you're welcome to get a second opinion from your warranty company, but there's nothing else I can do" So that's it. There is nothing wrong with my unit even though it fails to cool and freezes up multiple times a day. They refuse to talk to me at this point and won't refund the second payment. 6 weeks with a broken AC. I get it escalated to another company that seems to care about their customers. They do a far more thorough examination and truly seem to care. Fletcher put in the WRONG MOTOR. You can see it in the pictures. They put in a 1/2 HP motor when the unit calls for 1 HP motor. That is why it kept freezing up. The new competent company replaced the motor with the correct one, and everything has been perfect. I reached out to Fletcher politely saying mistakes happen, and I wanted to discuss it with them. I'm obviously at least due 1 if not both payments back. No response. If I get one, I'm sure it will be a lie. read more

One Star because I could not give Zero or a negative score!! I was assigned this company through American Home Shield and was told it was the ONLY vendor I could use for insurance purposes. To say this has been an ordeal would be an understatement. They have been to my home to fix the HVAC twice and the unit is still not working. I had to pay directly for freon the second time, and it is still NOT WORKING!! AHS is sending them out...AGAIN! This is insane and frustrating beyond words. I have worked with AHS before on a water heater issue and they were great, but this time, with this vendor, it has been torture. I would NOT recommend Fletcher to do anything at this point. Completely useless....and FYI. They only respond to positive reviews! There is NO accountability with this company! The owner called me to basically gaslight my review and cancelled their follow-up work on my un-repaired unit. This company employs scavengers and the owners will milk you with the help of AHS for every cent they can get before throwing you back into the void. read more
