This compnay told me i have a leak in my system but cannot find a leak in my system. when i call to ask questions Mr Terry Alsup states to never call his business again as he will not service me. He is upset because his wife told me i was a liar and was proven 100% wrong when their company gave me teh same story about not being able to find a leak for the 3rd time. read more

Called an made an appt for last Monday. Richard came nice and early. We had been looking to replace a 20+ year old unit. We had been noticing intermittent noises and just that morning it was really worse. Richard gave us options to repair. We just decided to go bite the bullet and buy a new unit. We opted for a different brand than they normally sell, but they were accommodating and were able to get us the unit we wanted with a price we could live with and install it that day. All said and done by 1pm that day. We were really impressed with Richard. He seemed like a great guy and a straight shooter. The service was AAA. I waited a year to do survey I wanted to give a honest rating. I would have giving them 5 stars but you have to own up to the product you are selling even when you have an unsatisfied customer to go with all the satisfied ones. I have had central systems for 42 years and I know what to expect and what they are suppose to do.I am not a know it all. All my systems have been carrier brand.I had my first unit in 1980 and it was running just fine when we moved in 1990 to my present home. I had a carrier unit installed and it lasted for 18 years and had another one put in and it lasted for 13 years. I had been using Alsup for about 5 years and when they checked unit and said it had a couple of problems and would be about $2000. to repair. I guessed it was time to replace and they could replace it with a Rheem for $ 5400. They said it would be a new and up to date unit very efficient and I trusted that. I knew nothing about Rheem so I decided to go with it I should have done more homework. After it was in and I had some concerns with it that day and for the next few days with one big problem was my old duct under floor not being just right with one area at end of the run. That is on me. They said to find plain old filters not nothing special and I did ok I guess, they did come out when I wanted them to explain all this and said it was ok and I had a good unit and was ready for winter. I always had units that keeps the house comfortable and with no big temperature swings.Not this one. We keep thermostat at 73 year round with this unit everyone will get a little cold and finally heat will come on and right from the start the fan is wide open and just fill the house with very hot heat and keep on going till everyone is burning up and everyone is burning up and then it finally it will shut off. After a while this cycle starts again and it is miserable inside. Unit does not keep a comfortable temp. in house and it sucks. Now with the warm weather you can be in house and you start getting warm and warm and when unit comes on it will run and run and everyone will start getting COLD and finally it will cut off. This goes on all the time just like I explained it. This is the worse unit I have ever had in 42 years. They say unit is right they have changed thermostat 4 times and said that was the trouble and this unit runs like it is suppose to. I can't believe that but I will give them the doubt but if everyone they put one of these in and they all love it they have never had a good unit. I don't know what my next step will be or have to suffer I guess. LIKE I SAID IT IS THE WORSE UNIT I HAVE EVER HAD. Randy Bailey read more

Our former landlord, of seven years, has been associated with this company for a very long time. When our heat/air would go out (twice a year) he would always sent a technician over for repair. At the end of November 2017, he sent an associate to our location because the heat went out. The technician arrived, said he'd be back with the part for repair in a week. Numerous phone calls were placed for a follow up, with no reply and/or update. In mid-January 2018, a technician finally arrived to repair the issue. At this point, I was fighting a terrible sinus infection and my mother was at work. My certified medical support dog accidentally pooed next to her mat, instead of on it. This technician took a photo of my dog's poo and sent it to our landlord stating "this is what is going on at your rental property. It also reeks of urine in here." My dog had visible urine on her mat. Our landlord showed up a week later, inspected our home, told us that he did not smell/see anything but informed us of the text message contents and evicted us as a result. We were blindsided and disgusted by this behavior. This company (and the technician) not only left us without heat for two months in the middle of winter, but also never returned phone calls or updates... ....and when they DID finally showed up for repair work, the technician took photos inside the home without our knowledge. While I take responsibility for the error which my dog made, this type of behavior is absolutely unprofessional in every type of way. Please be careful hiring this company and the representatives who represent them. I cannot even imagine how much more uncomfortable i would feel if I found out a company was sending technicians who took photos inside my home, without permission, with children present. This is nothing but the truth. We have now moved to a much nicer place, with working units and the current homeowners have closed their account with this company. read more

My a/c at my business wasn't cooling at all... fortunately I have two units, but one side of the office was running around 80 degrees...I called these folks and within two hours, two service techs were on my roof attending to my units...they diagnosed and repaired the problem and we are cooling down just fine..great service in early July, and I am so appreciative of their fine work... highly recommend.... read more

I was fine with the unit until December 23, 2022, I bought the new Rheem Unit in February 2022. I got up this morning with my temperature set at 64 for nights to it was 62 in the house. I raised it to 66 and it's been running non stop for 3 hours now and has only raised the temperature 2 degrees, it's now 64. I've had good results with them in the past. Not thinking that now, because I can't reach anyone for an Emergency. I have two dogs and a kitten and these temps will get very cold on them. The dogs have been freshly groomed in the last week so both their coats are short because I have a new unit and it should keep the house warm. I normally keep it at 68 in the daytime and 64 at night because they still have fur coats. Both dogs are huddled at my feet under my desk with the kitten trying to get on my lap. I'm wearing a sweater and a coat and I'm cold. This is crazy, they should have an emergency number for issues like this. I am not ok with this Rheem and should have got another Goodman like I previously had. I never had a problem until it died last year 2021. I hope the people who bought the previous home got propane for the fireplace. It's cold and miserable in this house. I can't leave the dogs or kitten but we are all chilly cold and it's Christmas in 2 days and we are freezing. I need them to move their rears and either fix this issue or put in a new one, today!!! read more

Exceptional AC service! I called to scheduled a service call. To my surprise, they could come to my house the next morning! The person who took my call was professional, friendly, and caring. The next morning, Jason called to let me know he was about 30-40 mins away and asked if he could arrive. He provided an excellent service. He was polite, friendly, and professional and he fixed the AC. Would definitely recommend this company. read more

These folks get five stars from me, because six stars aren't an option! I don't know how anyone could do it better than these folks. I've had Prentice Alsup out to my home several times over the past five years for routine service and a few repairs, and each time I've been very happy with the service experience! They do their best to get my appointment scheduled as quickly as possible basing it around my schedule and when I can be home, and they have always arrived when they said they would. The office staff is great to deal with, and the guys that have come to service or repair the units I have upstairs and downstairs have been VERY knowledgeable, professional, courteous, efficient, clean and fair on pricing. For example, I've been prepared to replace the aging upstairs unit in my house for about a year now, and on two separate occasions now, they've talked me out of it! Both times the service techs have told me, "Let's go this less expensive route for now. We'll let you know when it's really time to replace it. We'll replace it if you really want to, but you probably have a little life left in this one." Seriously?? How often does that happen?? THAT is why I will always call these folks when I need Heating & Air Conditioning repairs and service! read more
