The repair was excellent and the service guy competent and friendly. So, after 6 months of estimates and exhaustion, I called Estes. Jim was great in being patient with my questions and concerns. That made a difference. I decided to go with a higher quality model than my budget but am so pleased so far with the system....Didn't want their temp star brand but they still delivered great service. Now a little disappointed in the installation of the foil face, I think, , (silver duct wrap insulation was glued haphazardly to the house...not appealing ). The workers not as pleasant this time around. I'll still recommend Estes any day over these corporate companies insisting on paid service memberships up front ...

Nothing fancy; just clean and check the unit for the summer. That's when they came to my house and told me that my unit had over five problems, including leaking refrigerant, bad capacitors, electrical work, etc. Funny enough, their first quote was for 8k, which was to "fix these terrible problems." However, they gave me another crazier solution, to get a brand new unit, which was only 2 tons for a small house for 11k. Kid, you not. I went and got a second opinion, and as I suspected, my HVAC connections weren't the prettiest, but had no problems. The other HVAC professional also found out that they only cleaned a portion of the unit, so he installed a new disconnect, re-did my drain line, sealed my flashing, and rewashed my unit for $600 bucks. Do it at your own risk. I have never seen something like this, not even when I used to live in NY they tried to upcharge me like that.

Thank you . The service people (all of them) have kept my 25+ year unit chugging along for many years. They do annual maintenance work, major system installation and everything in-between correctly and reasonably priced. Better yet, the service people are polite, never aggressive. They will always explain the problem and show you the damage by picture or the actual part which means a lot to an old lady (with no mechanical ability). Oh, as far as my old unit, I am getting them to install a new one soon.

Had a 2nd opinion come out and ask me who was messing around with the fan because it was hooked up in reverse. The 2nd opinion tech was able to get the unit working at the service call without the freon they told me I needed or new condenser fan. Also important to note, there would have been no way for the unit to have been operational two full summers) with the fan in reverse, leaving the only people to have reversed the fan direction being J&J. When presented with this information, J&J became defensive and instead of apologizing, refused to come out and fill up the freon on the other unit. If they weren't so defensive, I'd be more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. They instead chose to get ugly with me leading me to believe I had uncovered their scam. Again, proceed with caution. Attached is the bid with the condenser fan that wasn't needed and supporting text from my tenant who as also told our problem was the fan going the wrong direction.

Very timely and polite. Reasonably priced. He took care of my issue with no problems.read more

Highly Recommend ACE HVAC!…read more ACE HVAC did an excellent job installing a brand-new HVAC unit for us. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and professional. The team showed up on time, explained everything clearly, and answered all of our questions without rushing us. The installation itself was done efficiently and with great attention to detail. They left the work area clean and made sure the system was running perfectly before they left. You can really tell they take pride in their work. If you're looking for a reliable, honest, and knowledgeable HVAC company, ACE HVAC is the way to go. We're extremely happy with the new unit and the service we received
