Someone from the company Gathering up appointments for landscape gave me a brochure that set up to 30% off and set up an appointment for an estimate for a little bit of a retaining wall around my front flower bed of my house. That appointment at 3:00 on Thursday nobody showed. I gave them the benefit of the doubt called them back made a new appointment. Somebody came was here for 2 hours taking pictures measurements and going over design and promised me I would get an email estimate within the week. That estimate never came. They called me a couple of weeks later and asked to make an appointment with a couple of their better guys I agreed. Two really nice guys came which I didn't understand why we needed to have another estimate and take more of my time for a simple project. These two guys came and they were very nice and they measured and they went over design information via their tablet they brought showing me options and promised me an email estimate within the week or two which never arrived. Since then the company has been calling trying to schedule another appointment for a third time and I refuse to give them more of my time when I haven't received an estimate. I explained to them I've given up 5 hours of my time and they've given me nothing so without an estimate this is too many red flags I don't like the way this company runs and I'm out. I got a call today and they tried to represent themselves with a different name of a company altogether when I asked him to please be honest and transparent how did he hear that I needed Landscaping because I've never advertised it online or any social media. He admitted he was also Hometown remodeling which means he tried to trick me. I asked him to give me an estimate based on the photographs the measurements and the design chosen that he is already received by three different guys. But he wants to send the guy that came the second time tomorrow to give me that estimate to have me sign a contract. I gave him the price that was verbally told to me you will see if that happens tomorrow or if they even show up and write an estimate right then and there in front of me and not promised in the email. I do not recommend this company and I highly doubt I'm going to sign a contract. UPDATE: Since this review, the company has been in touch with me to try to make things right and apologize for my experience. I have finally received an estimate matching the verbal one they originally gave, however, the style and design was slightly changed from my original choice. They did explain that my job was not big enough to make the profit they need to cover labor and expenses. For this, I bow out and will go with another business a bit more Professional. read more

I keep getting calls from this company and they identify themselves as from Loco Builders from Lancaster and state they are connected to Hometown Remodeling. They give an address of 44451 16TH Street West and call from various 909 numbers out of Redlands. Most recently from 909-220-5073. I block each number they call from yet they manage to get thru. Furthermore, I asked to speak to the manager and was refused, which is a huge red flag as far as I'm concerned. Here's the problem: Somehow they get the notion and pick up your contact information from social media that you are considering a project and continually harass you from different numbers even after you've told them numerous times you're not interested. I've told different callers from this company I'm not interested and they continually call and persist and harass me. I'm going to start documenting dates times and names and report them. I do not and would not consider doing any business with any company that makes this type of phone solicitation a practice. They do not understand the word no. read more

We just finished our remodeling projects using Town Home Construction. We wanted to share our opinions and experience with them. We had two project managers (Juan and Sean) and both were wonderful to work with. We highly recommend and appreciate their input, guidance and support. Our bathroom renovation work was done by talented workmen who were extremely polite and hard working. Manuel was especially talented and made sure we understood the consequences of our choices. Kudos to him and all the crew. We also replaced our windows throughout our home. That work crew was also easy to work with and did an excellent job. I would have liked more accurate information on whether and when the crew was coming. It is also important to be aware that when you receive the estimated time frame of completion there are several days that the crew cannot come due to inspections and weather restrictions. We thought that work would be done in consecutive days and that is not necessarily the case. We did the windows after the bathroom and I personally would have liked more information upfront on the color of tinting and features of the windows, like if they could be one way reflective or film added later which I was under the impression that they could be and this was not accurate information. We kept busy lining up fixtures and other hardware (this cost was not in the bid) for the renovation which we were not originally aware of. The interaction started great. They had someone going through the neighborhood handing out flyers. Had a smooth conversation with Patrick and scheduled an appointment for that Sunday. Verified this appointment through David for Sunday at 11am, where they'd be calling me an hour prior to confirm. The next day on Thursday I get a call from a random number at 10am asking if I am ready for my appointment that day. I say, "No. I scheduled for Sunday because I had doctor appointments all day." So, the caller then asks if he could try to call later in the afternoon in case I finished early. They called while I was still away and raining, so I said it just wouldn't work for today. I felt bad I couldn't get the guy in while he was in the area, but this is why I scheduled for Sunday. The caller then told me that he would gladly reschedule. I replied that, this was why I was originally scheduled for Sunday at 11. To which he replied, "No. That isn't how it works. I have appointments available Sunday at 11:30 or 12." Mind you my appointment was at 11 on Sunday and now he is telling me basically that not only do I have my appointment wrong, but that they don't have me scheduled for Sunday at all. So I just ignored it and chose 11:30. After thinking about it overnight, I called Hometown Remodeling to just cancel the estimate. To which the rep proceeded to double-down on bs'ing me! He says to me, that they didn't call me cause I had an appointment on Thursday, but because they had a cancellation and called to see if I wanted to have the estimate done on Thursday. And then tried to tell me that I my conversation with the rep prior did not go the way it did. The REP had called at 10am and asked if I would be ready for MY appointment. Nothing about someone cancelled. He called about MY appointment on Thursday. This deters me from working with them as I have no trust in anything they say. I was being bs'ed over an estimate appointment, what would happen with $25k+ on the line for my remodel and painting? - Rep called Thur for MY appointment. - My appointment was for Sunday 11am. - Rep called me at 10am Thur. 1 hour prior to when he thought my appointment was. - They then proceeded to say later it wasn't my appointment but a cancellation from someone else and they were seeing if I could fill that spot. - This may have been the case, but was presented as my appointment, not a cancellation opening. - I was made to feel like I didn't follow up on something I didn't schedule. -And the Rep I spoke to in the afternoon made it clear they had not scheduled me for Sunday 11am. - Whereas the Rep this morning made it seem as if they were just offering me the cancelled spot, but still had an appointment for Sunday at 11:30. This shows they got the appointment wrong over overbooked and tried to resolve it, but wanted to take no accountability for the mixup. They had me so concerned that I had misscheduled and that it wasn't their mistake, that I went and ran my security cameras to make sure Patrick, David, and I all stated Sunday 11am before we finished. On the camera I can hear David try to schedule for Thursday, where Patrick then corrects him. I get on the call with David via speaker and David tries to quote me Thursday 11am. To which I corrected him and said, "No, it is for Sunday at 11. I won't be available tomorrow." David confirms, and Patrick makes a statement about how his phone is not getting good reception in the area. David then says, My appointment is Sunday at 11am, and that an estimator would call me 1 hour prior to the appointment to make sure I am available because they need someone who is on the title. Either way, 2 different times David was told Sunday, which once was me getting confirmation from HIM, and I feel I was still scheduled for Thursday. Hence why I couldn't even be scheduled for anything before 11:30 on Sunday when they called Thursday. Thanks, but no thanks. read more

Very annoyed by the guy, Jesse B., who was going door to door in my neighborhood. I have a "no solicitating" sign on my front door; you can't miss it when walking up to my porch area. Jesse rang my Ring doorbell, and I answered through the Ring app and I asked, "can I help you?" He replied with "hi ma'am, how's your day going? I again said, "how can I help you?" He said, "me and my team are in the area doing free estimates on the homes, I was wondering if (then he mumbled something I could not understand). I responded, with "umm, okay, no thank you. See the "No Soliciting" sign on my front door? That's exactly what you're doing: soliciting. Thank you, but no thank you. Bye." Then I watched as he left marketing materials on my door. I then said, "Please don't leave your card". He ignored my request, left something on my door, and said have a good one as he walked away. I came downstairs, opened up my door grabbed the marketing materials he left and confronted him as he walked away from my neighbor's house. I tried to hand him back his flyer, he wouldn't take it, so I dropped it on the ground. Then he said, " Ah, what you liter like that for." I said, "I asked you not to leave your stuff. Take your flyer back." I then turned around and walked back to my house. He never did pick it up. I went out and picked it up about 30 minutes later. I am now using said marketing materials to get info on the company to leave this review and will be calling the company to complain about Jesse B. and how they need to teach their people to respect "No Soliciting" signs. People don't understand, some people don't want their doorbell rang because they might work nights and sleep during the day. Or have a sick elderly person in the home and trying to keep noise to a low level, or maybe a sleeping baby or child. Whatever the reason, it is our reason for having the sign; solicitors need to respect that. The businesses paying solicitors need to teach them to honor that sign, it is there for a reason. read more

I recently had my windows upgraded and backyard fence changed to vinyl... and let me tell you, I was surprised by the quality, quickness and attention this company provided. Guys came in and finished all my windows in a day. Best part they left my home clean, like nothing ever happened. Mom of 4 here, so that was a plus for me. My old wooden fence was not a project we wanted to tackle, but the winds had another idea, our project manager helped us with financial option that we were able to work with. I met with Lucas on 1/13 and signed a contract. The work was exterior paint to our two story home. I made it clear from the beginning that this property interior and exterior is well maintained. We initially did not want any paint, we wanted a garage addition but was convinced that stucco and paint was a priority to correct the stucco cracks and "increase the value" with a paint jog. We made it clear that we do not want subpar quality work. We could do subquality work ourselves, if we are paying we expect quality workmanship. --The POWER WASH TEAM came out on 1/14 and power washed the stucco ONLY. --The STUCCO TEAM came on 1/15 and patched/applied stucco. They left stucco all over the front, back and side of the exterior. (I sent a picture of stucco all over the front patio which had hardened and could not be removed by sweeping). They removed it the next morning. --Then the PAINT TEAM came/started on 1/18. The paint was to be SWISS COFFEE but it is clearly WHITE. They also trampled all over my front garden area, chopped down my 20 year old English Rose, painted the heaves with white paint which had not been painted since at least 1995 ---- and they did NOT power washed or clean the dirt from the heaves - painting over DIRT!! They dropped paint and stucco throughout my garden area out front and has no cares on how they handled our property. Like I told Lucas, we PAID /are being billed thousands of dollars for this service, but the workers act like they are doing us a favor and they are providing a service for FREE. We own this property and in my wildest dream have never lived in a property that looks this bad....stucco and paint throughout our mulch, our water plants have stucco and paint all over them, dropped paint in the exterior of the property, they chopped down our rose bush (20 year old) without permission and trampled over our geraniums and garden area - they DID NOT COVER THE WORK AREAS so at the base of the property where the house meets the mulch is all painted. They are removing the plastic from the windows, signaling that they are done paining but again, the paint is WHITE (and looks like prime) and SWISS COFFEE paint. Will file a claim for property damage for how they mishandled our property!!! I am sharing the video taken at the end of the day today. There is no quality control. Run, don't walk from this company --- I DO NOT RECOMMEND HomeTown Remodeling!!!!!!! read more

Hometown Remodeling called me every day over the course of several weeks wanting to give me a quote. Every day I gave them the same answer - "I'm not interested," yet, that did not stop them from continuing to call me. One of them even claimed to be a supervisor and stated he would take my name off the "Do not call list," and I still kept getting calls every day. I have better things to do than to keep repeating myself on a daily basis. I don't need work done at the moment but if i do in the future, it DEFINITELY will NOT be with this company as they don't know how to stop annoying people who are not interested in their services. read more
